If you want the experience of Section 8 living, this is your place! We found the Metro Phoenix all-inclusive living apartments/hotel, because it was close to my daughter's graduation. Upon arrival, at about 11:00 AM, we expected to be able to check in early. But the front desk was unable to accommodate us. They did, however, give us a door code and informed us that early check-in would cost $50. Otherwise, the door code would not be active until 4:00 in the afternoon. About an hour later, we returned and said we would pay the $50 fee. We were then told the room was still being cleaned and wouldn't be ready for another hour. So I asked if the additional two hours would still cost $50, and they said yes. As you can see from the photos, the inside of the apartment/room is aged, marginally cleaned, and something I would never stay at again. The pool was a beautiful shade of green. The choice of sunshades from the other residents proved to be quite eclectic. The surround for the dishwasher, although the dishwasher was new, was mostly absent—almost as impressive as the burned pot stains on the floor and the replaced tile, which was not even close in size or color. One of the cabinets had a sparse selection of plates. And they were kind enough to remove the smoked glass for easier access. A few of the outlets did not have the required covers. The other window in the “family” room was broken yet had an interesting spiderweb shape to it. It was nice for them to have a Murphy bed, but they didn't supply the mattress. Another thing not supplied was the actual rod in the closet to hang clothes. The stains on the carpet added to the ambiance of government housing at its finest. Both showers couldn't switch the selector from tub to shower head, and the upstairs tub never really drained. Another amenity was the built-in entertainment. We played “Wack a Roach” with our shoes! My daughter got 3, the wife got 1, and I missed 2. Fortunately, the on-site security had his golf cart and bulletproof vest, which made my comfort level soar. Parking was cramped but cozy. On the brighter side, the AC worked great, and the refrigerator and dishwasher were new. Although I have never lived in Section 8 housing, I now feel this experience has brought me closer to that lifestyle.

However, as with any lodging, the actual guest experience can vary significantly from initial expectations. Metro Phoenix: All Inclusive Living is conveniently situated at 8242 N Black Cyn Hwy, Phoenix, AZ 85051, USA. This location places it in the North Mountain area of Phoenix, offering accessibility to various parts of the city. Public transportation options may be available nearby, but for most Arizonans, a personal vehicle would likely be the preferred method of transport for accessing amenities and attractions around the wider Phoenix area. The property is approximately 12.7 km from Phoenix city center, and within a 15-minute drive of major destinations like the Phoenix Convention Center and Castles N' Coasters. Free self-parking is available onsite, which is a significant plus for those traveling with their own vehicles, addressing a common concern for urban lodging. While the location provides ease of access to main roads, guests should be mindful of the immediate surroundings that come with an urban freeway location.

My third night there my room was broken into and everything I owned was stolen while I was out at the casino..My door was literally 80 feet from where security sits all night yet managed to not stop or prevent the burglary. I found it super weird that when I was checking out the security guard said "Be careful who you let in your room because they'll break in and steal all your stuff while you're gone. It happens all the time here". He said. Sounds like they need a new security guard or company securing their property.

Great little place, nice rooms with everything you need already in them, price is very fair. Plus it doesn't feel like a hotel, more like home away from home cuz it's an apartment feeling. Awesome place would recommend to anyone and family.

Up and down i-17 corridor this is probably the best place to stay for the least amount of money you actually get a sweet size room that is fully furnished even has plates kitchen utensils cooking devices. The staff is only there to a certain time at night usually 6 or 7 the doors are closed at night time security takes over. The place is much like an old apartment complex converted to a hotel it also looks like there are many long-term residents that have lived there as well kids family. Obviously it's up and down the i-17 so you're going to have your typical riff Raff like you do it every other place and because of the way it's structured and then closed the entrances the security is able to monitor and prevent most of that crap from happening. Self-checking service if you're good with your phone you can get it done fairly rapidly. Price is right now there are excellent total price including tax in any fees per night with $65 obviously it's always best to check in for as many days as possible limiting your exposure to any kind of deposits deposit was fairly inexpensive and it was returned right away to our account to unlike many of the other hotels with a scene to hold you hostage with that. As always definitely make sure that you get a receipt for any expenditures cuz that's the only way you got to prove that you paid for what you paid. Almost forgot to get that pricing you need to literally go through booking.com. Again I've been a resident of this town for over 40 years and this is the best place I think you can go if you don't have the money to afford much else and nowadays we all know many of us are in that position

I have to say that it was really nice to come to a place that actually feels like home away from home. We have had some bad experiences at other places we've reserved, so it was nice to be here at Metro Phoenix. Its really well kept and clean. There's a playground for the kids with lots of shade. A nice swimming pool with a connected but separate bbq area. A gym And the rooms are small apartments. Lol. The full kitchen is the best. Very clean. We were just happy with everything all around. Staff were not just kind but also helpful. The beds are great, they are very comfortable. And best of all, is that it feels safe being here. Security seems good. I would definetly recommend staying here for any occasion. It was nice.
