Stayed with my girlfriend for Valentines Day weekend. We had a great time. Indoor pool was heated, hot tub was really nice, both were very well maintained and clean. We didn't even have to leave the resort to have fun. The rooms were also clean and well maintained, and I loved that they had a pool table. That was a nice touch. I saw a lot of people with snowmobiles and it seemed like a nice place with plenty of room for that kind of stuff. It's up on a mountain, so driving in and out was a little sketchy, but that's to be expected. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive if you're going in the winter especially. Outside of the resort, the police in town are definitely wary of outsiders. I got pulled over twice in 2 days but ultimately no harm done and no tickets once they realized that we actually were just on vacation and not there to do anything illegal. My girlfriend had her car fully searched by customs going back across the Canadian border, which was obviously not a problem because we had nothing to hide, but you could tell they definitely put her on the list. Probably a reasonable reaction from their point of view considering I drove all the way up from NJ to be with her. I would like to thank the wonderful staff at the resort for being so friendly, they really made us feel welcome. I would also like to thank the officers for being so cool about it in the end. They probably could have written me some tickets and made my life a lot harder in general, but they chose not to. All in all, successful trip and if I'm ever in the area again I'll gladly stay here.

We stayed in cabin 21. It's a beautiful cabin, excellently located and has 3 better than good beds and one ok in a pinch futon. Both showers/tub suck! There are only 4 small hooks next to the door for hanging things. That's it! A place listed as sleeping 10. I call BS! The pull out sofa was a disgusting ridiculous joke of a peice of furniture. I couldn't even charge the poor soul that got stuck sleeping on that. There has obviously been no money put into maintaining this cabin. Stay away. The amenities at the resort are nice, but we didn't stay there, so I can't attest to it's conditions.

Great cabin in the woods experience. Nice pools and hot tub at an incredible value. Would stay here again without hesitation. TV wasn’t good quality but that doesn’t matter out here. Internet was a little slower as well but we were able to stream of our fire stick while unwinding after a day full of adventure.

Mountainview Resort is unique and beautiful on so many levels. It is a resort that sits nestled in the heart of the Moose River Valley and surrounded by a gorgeous mountain range. The lodge is so nice & cozy with the lobby being very welcoming. They have an indoor heated pool & and an outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, common’s w/pool table, fireplace, tv sitting area, and a reading nook with books available. They have five gorgeous cabins on the property that sleep up to 10 people!! The staff are friendly and very helpful. If you love outdoor activities, this is the place to go! Local snowmobile rentals, ATV rentals, canoes & row boat rentals, and white water rafter nearby.

I would like to preface my review by saying I was worried about staying at this location after reading some of the reviews on varying platforms. However this place was nothing like the reviews!! The place was clean, staff friendly, sure a few things are dated, but nothing unexpected for a Maine resort. It’s Jackman Maine, your in the woods. The pool area, is different but very clean. The sauna is a great added touch as well! Right on the main snowmobile trail, close to amenities. Would definitely stay here again!
