The staff could have been more helpful. I walked in to check in, and there was no one at the front desk. Housekeeping eventually called the worker for me and told me he would be back after 10:30am….well mind you, this whole interaction took place at 10:45am. The rooms were fine. Nothing fancy but no complaints. It’s an old building and the stairwell going to the ski locker definitely isn’t up to code. All in all, the front desk could be more accessible during their opening hours and more friendly. Greeting a guest goes a long way.

The environment of Sugarloaf Inn is defined by its stunning location. Nestled at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain, guests are treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and the pristine Maine wilderness. While the building itself is an older structure, reflecting a more traditional alpine lodge feel, many guests appreciate its rustic charm and the sense of history it carries. A standout feature of Sugarloaf Inn, especially for winter visitors, is its prime ski-in/ski-out access. The convenience of ski-in/ski-out access, the presence of an on-site restaurant and bar, and the friendly staff are frequently highlighted as positives by guests.

Prospective guests looking for promotional information should check the official Sugarloaf Inn website or common booking platforms. Historically, the Inn has offered various deals such as discounts for longer stays, special rates for Florida residents, AAA/AARP members, military personnel and first responders, and KOA Rewards members. For instance, there have been promotions like "20% OFF" using specific codes for stays booked through their website. It is always advisable to verify current promotions directly with the hotel or through reliable booking channels, as these offers can be seasonal or subject to change and blackout dates may apply.

Fantastic place to stay, ski in ski out at Sugarloaf. They have everything you need from coffee, ice, water, and a microwave in the lobby. The room was super clean and well stocked. The restaurant/bar was great and convenient. They even had a ski locker which was very easy to use. Looking forward to staying here again.

My family rented the timbers unit for a long March weekend. The location was great with ski in and ski out made easy. The check in process was easy and I had great communication with the team at the Inn. There was lots of room for all of us to spread out and a well equipped kitchen made it easy for us to enjoy some meals at the condo. So happy we found this rental and will stay again

The Sugarloaf Inn is exactly what you want in a ski-in, ski-out stay—cozy, clean, and comfortable! It’s not fancy, but that’s part of the charm. The rooms are simple but well-kept, and while they don’t have appliances in them, they make up for it with a convenient coffee and tea station and a microwave in the lobby. One of my favorite surprises was the retail shop—it has some of the coolest Sugarloaf gear on the mountain! And having the Shipyard Brewhaus right on-site is a huge plus for nights when you just want a great meal without having to go anywhere. If you're looking for a laid-back, welcoming place to stay with easy access to the mountain, this is it!

Location is great. Ski/walk to everything you need or want. View of the mountain was amazing. We stayed in the Queen Loft room. The room was a bit out dated and the bathroom was very, very small. Wished it had a small fridge. Will stay again for the location.
