While this is a five star review because the property would be great for solo or couples traveling…. Here are my cons if you are traveling with a friend or your kid: Bathrooms: in the two queen the bathroom has a non-locking sliding door that well, slides open on it’s own. There is a LARGE glass window IN the shower. When the light is on, your bits are on full display. (We hung a poster board with painters tape to block it after a quick trip to the store) Walls: They are PAPER THIN. I could hear the couple next door talking. They were just having a regular conversation. Not being loud or annoying, just talking. We did not turn our TV on before 10am or after 10pm for fear of it disturbing our neighbors. The neighborhood is noisy on a Friday/Saturday night so keep that in mind. Things will be open until wee hours. Parking: The garage is a tight squeeze nightmare. You must have physical keys, not your mobile, to get in and out of the garage. Staff: The staff is fantastic, but expected to manage both the bar and check in and the mini mart all at the same time. These poor ladies are overworked and running around like a pinball in a machine. Thankfully they are just lovely humans!

Look no further than the Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt Area. This isn't your traditional hotel; it's a dynamic and spirited hub designed for the modern traveler who appreciates style, efficiency, and a lively social scene. If you're a local seeking a fun staycation or recommending a spot for friends visiting Music City who crave a youthful and energetic vibe, Moxy Vanderbilt is ready to welcome you.
The Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt Area is part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, known for its "playful essence" and unique approach to hospitality. This hotel, unlike conventional setups, often features a check-in experience at the bar, immediately setting a fun and social tone. The Moxy brand is celebrated for its "small but smart rooms" and "stylish communal spaces," fostering interaction and a sense of community among guests. While the rooms are designed to be compact and efficient, they are packed with clever amenities. Guests appreciate the "space-saving rooms" and thoughtful touches like "hooks on the wall actually allowed us to utilize wall space" and the provision of "a mini fridge upon request for my mother's dietary concerns." The hotel embraces a "city night-life vibe," making it particularly appealing to solo travelers or couples looking for an energetic base. However, it's worth noting that this focus on a lively atmosphere means some common considerations, like potentially "paper thin" walls leading to audible neighbors, or the general noise of a bustling neighborhood on a Friday/Saturday night. Despite these aspects, the "staff is fantastic" and consistently praised for their helpfulness and warmth, even when managing multiple tasks at once. The overall "vibe of the hotel is super fun and modern," and its design reflects a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.

Jun 14, 2025 · Raven MathisThis is my favorite Moxy experience so far. These hotels are designed to be more compact, city night-life vibes, and our double queen room met all expectations. We had space, the hooks on the wall actually allowed us to utilize wall space. They provided a mini fridge upon request for my mother's dietary concerns. They have a room in the hall that offers things like extra linens and bathroom products. They have a microwave downstairs and lobby games. The area was pretty great! Cheap lyft to downtown Nashville, but also plenty going on in the blocks around the hotel, such as two great places for breakfast and a delicious ice cream joint. Given the price and how everything was inflated that week, and the area, I'd recommend this as an option. We could hear noisy neighbors, and there wasn't a fan to help regulate room temp, but that seems par for the course on most hotels anymore. Also, I the lobby smell was pretty intense and I never got used to it. But, this was a good stay overall.
Mar 26, 2025 · Christina KumlerGreat way to check in to your room. You check in at the bar and they give you a token for a free drink by drink I mean alcohol or liquor. Phenomenal service from the staff, engineering team and management. To top it all off COMFIEST beds on the planet. Can’t wait to come back.
Jun 13, 2025 · Claire McLemoreIt's a good enough hotel. The bed was fine. The rooms were small. The decor spartan. The first floor has a lot of games- pool, darts, shuffleboard. Vanderbilt is right there so the location is hard to beat. The staff was very friendly.
Mar 27, 2025 · James HoneycuttDo not stay here seriously... The entire places smells like cheap perfume, its overpriced, the check in counter is a bar, rooms way to hot with no way to turn down, floors are nasty, you have to pay for parking on their own property....30$ a night per car for a minicooper sized parking spot.... like you own the place scam artists. The tv cable keeps cutting out, there is no closet and the ceiling looks like a storage container and is not insulated. Nothing is soundproof so I hope you like to hear your neighbors. It feels like a place for homeless drag queens that had a good day of pan handling.
