We have been staying at this lodge off and on for twenty years. We love the location, the rooms are always clean, the creek view is awesome and it is a short walk to the strip and eateries. Over the years we have seen staff come and go. This time was a little different. The ladies at the front desk upon walking in never asked me anything other than are you checking in. They were not rude, but also were not nice and welcoming. I'm there for a nice experience and to relax, and I felt like I was a bother by walking in the door. They never said anything to me other than asking about my automobile. I made my reservation online and requested the room we always stay in and that was granted. Just a bad vibe for a nice little hotel. The front dest is very important to this type of business and greeting a traveling guest in the correct way is very important to repeat business. We will consider other hotels in the future, just because I felt like I was more of a nuisance than a guest with the front desk. However, the ladies cleaning the rooms and hotel were much nicer than the ladies at the front desk. They smiled and ask me if my day was going well and If I needed anything. Maybe the ladies at the front desk should spend some time cleaning rooms and the other ladies take the role of the front desk. Just some ideas for management. Our stay was the 4/6/25 - 4/8/25

Couldn't be happier with this choice. The rooms are extremely clean and the service was excellent. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this isn't it. The rooms had a lodge feel with wood furniture, but I don't think I have been in a cleaner room. It was excellent. And quiet!! We had a room on the fourth floor. The view was amazing. The creek was calming and the resident bear was fun to watch! It is close enough to walk to everything, but just off the main strip so you dont have to deal with crazy traffic and noisy crowds. We will certainly be back! Loved it!! Thank you Oak Creek Lodge!!

My new favorite spot to stay. I am a huge fan of Gatlinburg. I usually look for rooms that have balconies over the water. This is the best I have stayed at for the money. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff was great. Breakfast room was a little cramped. But I usually go to Donit Frier or one of the pancake spots. So didn't bother me.

Booked a really last minute weekend getaway and I’m so happy I found this place. It was perfect and I was so upset to leave! It was really clean, the location was perfect, the staff was nice. I couldn’t make up my mind which the best part of the room was: the fireplace, the water pressure in the shower, the balcony beside the stream, the cabin feel. We will be staying here in the future and recommending it to anyone else staying in Gatlinburg

Nice hotel, good breakfast buffet. Rooms have fire places and balconies overlooking streams. Saw a black bear catch a fish! Walking distance to downtown and shopping and right across the street from a great BBQ place. Very friendly staff; would definitely recommend.
