Hands-down, I have not had a better experience at a hotel resort in my life. From the moment we arrived, our auto was valet parked. Our bags were brought in and brought directly to our room. I have to mention, In all the interactions with staff and service, they were incredibly polite, personal and extremely attentive. I was celebrating my retirement, and we even received a special champagne and dessert room service from the hotel as a surprise. The personal touches were outstanding. We enjoyed a meal and cocktails in every single one of the restaurants on site. Each offered different cocktails and a different menu. Everything was delicious. This weekend that we chose to go, the weather was foggy and dreary, but that wasn’t going to get in the way as the hotel has many shops and services to keep us busy all day long. We decided to utilize the spa for treatments and let me tell you, the Spa is one of the best Spas I’ve ever been in. The service was five star for sure. I could talk about this place all day. Here’s what I would tell you, get online book an overnight or weekend there. Indulge in a little self-care. Before you leave, I guarantee you’ll be looking at your calendar to see when you can come back.
When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the breathtaking expanse of New Hampshire's White Mountains, the Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa stands as an iconic and unparalleled destination. Located at 310 Mount Washington Hotel Rd, Bretton Woods, NH 03575, USA, and reachable via phone at (603) 278-1000 or +1 603-278-1000, this National Historic Landmark offers a luxurious and comprehensive resort experience that seamlessly blends Gilded Age grandeur with modern amenities and five-star service.
The Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa is a true architectural marvel, a white Renaissance Revival hotel with a distinctive red roof, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. Opened in 1902, the sprawling resort is castle-like in its appearance, commanding magnificent views of the surrounding 800,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest. The lobby, adorned with crystal chandeliers and Tiffany-style glass, exudes warm lighting and impressive columns, contributing to its stately and opulent look. Despite its grandeur, the overall vibe is described as both upscale and refined, yet also cozy and outdoorsy, making it a welcoming retreat.
The resort’s unique setting provides a diverse ambiance depending on the location within the property. While the historic main hotel offers a classic, elegant feel, the newer Presidential Wing, which opened in 2009, provides more contemporary luxury, with many rooms featuring private balconies overlooking the majestic vistas. Even on a foggy or dreary day, as one guest noted, the sheer scale and internal offerings of the resort keep visitors engaged, creating a self-contained world of luxury and activity. The property also features expansive grounds, gardens, and terraces, inviting guests to enjoy the fresh mountain air and stunning scenery.
The Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa offers a variety of accommodation styles across its historic hotel, the Presidential Wing, and other associated accommodations like the Omni Bretton Arms Inn and the Townhomes. The main resort alone features 269 elegantly appointed rooms. Room types range from "European Rooms" (cozy, 200 sq ft, one queen bed) and "Traditional Rooms" (225 sq ft, one queen bed) to "Deluxe Rooms" (300 sq ft, one king or two queen beds), and more spacious "Corner Vistas" (550 sq ft, panoramic views). The resort also offers "Premier King Rooms" (625 sq ft), a "Premier Queen - Princess Carolyn Room" (650 sq ft, former room of a princess), and various luxurious suites, including "Luxury King Tower Suites" and "Luxury Family Suites" (up to 1,110 sq ft with multiple bedrooms and living areas).
Across these options, guests can expect a high standard of comfort and luxury. Common in-room amenities include premium bedding, down comforters, pillowtop beds, and in-room safes. Many rooms in the Presidential Wing feature marble bathrooms and gas fireplaces, adding to the opulent experience. Flat-screen TVs with cable channels are standard, and amenities like coffee/tea makers, ironing facilities, and hair dryers are generally available. While some reviews note the absence of mini-fridges in all room types, they are often available in upgraded rooms or upon request. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.
While one review mentioned a less ideal room location (Room 272) with "backyard atmosphere" and facility noise, the majority of reviews, including detailed descriptions of various room types, indicate that many rooms offer spectacular views of the mountains, contributing significantly to the overall guest experience. Guests can specifically request rooms with mountain views or balconies for the most picturesque setting.

Apr 14, 2025 · Jim CepI came to this location from Germany, Munich area on a business trip to enjoy the breathtaking location, views and unique setting. Too bad that my room was located in a an area which I would highly recommend to avoid. Room 272 was somewhat disappointing. Backyard atmosphere, continued noise of whatever facility machinery and minimal views to the beautiful Washington mountain range (opposite). The service is friendly, attentive and excellent for this price class, the hotel has great 20th century charm and is located like a castle on an exposed spot. I hope this review helps others to have a better customer experience and enjoy more of the picturesque setting for what the hotel is know for.
Apr 25, 2025 · Clemens DeilmannAn awesome inspiring hotel with so much history, not to mention the view of "the rockpile"as we locals call it. Make sure to have a meal or a drink on the veranda. You won't regret it. Our daughter's senior prom was held there! Have never stayed there, so can't rate the rooms.
May 14, 2025 · Jane DavidsonMy husband and I always come in to have drinks or dinner. We don't stay at the hotel because my husband is a local. Note: After YEARS of free guest parking, last July, the hotel started charging 10$ to park ($20 a night if you're a guest). My understanding is that this was done to dissuade people like my husband and I from coming and taking a table on the balcony.. leaving no balcony tables for the high paying guests who are staying at the hotel. I understand this thinking. I'm still deciding if that was the right choice. I'll circle back next year and let you know.
May 20, 2025 · Bre AbbensettsFinally took the time to explore this historic resort today! Parked in the complimentary (free) parking lot as suggested by Janet, the "toll booth" attendant, who I found had a wonderful enthusiasm for the hotel and it's history!! There are SO many events throughout time linked to this epic hotel. I can't wait to go back another day for the daily tour at 10am or a pricey adult beverage in The Cave Speakeasy or The Rosewood Lounge.
