It was a great experience with Postcard Cabins Blake Brook. The room was tiny and cute, and the heating worked very well. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was enough hot water for two people to shower without feeling rushed. In the morning, I woke up to find everything covered in snow, which was a wonderful surprise—I didn’t expect it to snow in April! It made the trip even more special and the scenery perfect for photos. I’m looking forward to visiting again in the summer!

Postcard Cabins Blake Brook Introduce

For those seeking a unique and intimate escape under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, Postcard Cabins Blake Brook offers a distinctive experience in Epsom, NH. Located at 76 Mountain Rd, Epsom, NH 03234, USA, and reachable at (617) 914-0021 or +1 617-914-0021, these "tiny and cute" cabins are designed for guests to unplug and reconnect with nature, providing all the essential comforts without the distractions of modern life.

Environment: Secluded Woodland Charm

Postcard Cabins Blake Brook is nestled on 49 private acres within the peaceful forests of Epsom, New Hampshire, approximately 1.5 hours from Boston. The environment is one of serene seclusion, where "a creek runs through our collection of tiny cabins," creating a tranquil backdrop. Guests are immersed in nature, waking up to picturesque scenery, as one reviewer delightedly discovered when "everything covered in snow," making the "scenery perfect for photos." The cabins are designed to maximize this connection with nature, featuring a large picture window that brings the outdoors in. While the cabins are intentionally "tiny," they are strategically spaced to offer privacy. This setting is ideal for those looking to "disconnect from the everyday" and enjoy the quietude of the woods. The overall ambiance promotes relaxation and a return to simplicity, providing a refreshing contrast to urban environments.

Services and Amenities: Essential Comfort in a Minimalist Setting

Postcard Cabins Blake Brook focuses on providing essential comforts within a minimalist yet well-appointed framework. The emphasis is on a self-guided, immersive experience, with no traditional front desk; instead, guests receive cabin access codes via SMS and communicate with a virtual front desk for assistance. Based on guest reviews and the concept of Postcard Cabins, here's what to expect:

  • Cozy and Comfortable Accommodations: The cabins, though "tiny," are thoughtfully designed to be "cozy, clean and stocked with everything we need." Reviewers consistently highlight the "extremely comfortable" bed and pillows, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Heating and air conditioning ensure comfort in all seasons. Cabins come with queen beds or queen bunks, suitable for 2-4 guests depending on the specific cabin type.

  • Well-Equipped Kitchenettes: Each cabin includes a kitchenette with a two-burner stovetop, mini-fridge, sink, and basic cookware and utensils (pot, pan, mixing bowl, cups, plates, mugs, can-opener, cork opener, tongs). This allows for simple meal preparation, with guests encouraged to bring their own food, as there is no on-site restaurant or café. While no microwave or oven is typically provided, there are grill grates over the fire pit for outdoor cooking.

  • En-suite Bathroom with Hot Water: Cabins feature a private bathroom with a hot shower. One guest specifically noted "enough hot water for two people to shower without feeling rushed." Biodegradable shower products, fresh towels, and an emergency kit are provided.

  • Private Outdoor Space: A significant feature of each cabin is its private outdoor area, complete with a fire pit, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs. This is perfect for enjoying campfires, making s'mores, or simply relaxing in nature.

  • Thoughtful Provisions: The daily Destination Fee includes complimentary items such as three bundles of firewood with starters, a s'mores kit, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and two bottles of water. Additional snacks and provisions are available for purchase.

  • Connectivity (or lack thereof): While Wi-Fi is generally available, the concept encourages guests to "unplug." Cabins have power outlets for charging devices, and a landline phone for emergency calls or contacting the 24/7 Guest Experience Team via SMS for support or requests.

  • Pet-Friendly Policy: Postcard Cabins Blake Brook welcomes dogs for an additional cleaning fee (USD 50 per stay). Specific rules apply, such as keeping dogs on-leash outdoors and not leaving them unattended in the cabin. This is a significant draw for pet owners.

  • No Daily Housekeeping: Cabins are cleaned before each arrival, but daily housekeeping is not provided during stays.

While the focus is on a simplified experience, the provision of essential comforts like comfortable beds, effective heating, and hot water ensures a pleasant stay. However, a notable point of concern raised by a customer was the "extremely rigid" customer service regarding rescheduling, even with ample notice and visible cabin vacancies, which led to a "very disappointed" anniversary trip. This suggests a potential area for improvement in flexibility for guest-facing policies.

Features: An Immersive Nature Disconnect

The core feature of Postcard Cabins Blake Brook is its design as an immersive nature retreat. The "tiny cabin" concept with a large picture window serves to connect guests directly with the surrounding forest, encouraging them to slow down and enjoy the natural environment. The private outdoor space with a fire pit is a central element, facilitating quintessential outdoor experiences like campfires and s'mores. Its proximity to hiking trails, including the Epsom Town Forest, allows for easy exploration of the local scenery. The property's intentional lack of excessive amenities found in traditional hotels (like on-site restaurants or extensive common areas) is a feature in itself, promoting a "disconnect from technology" and a "reconnect with nature and those who matter most." This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking peace and quiet, a digital detox, or a focused romantic or family getaway. The cabins are also equipped with items like books and cards for indoor entertainment, acknowledging the possibility of inclement weather.

Promotional Information: Experiencing Simplicity and Serenity

Postcard Cabins Blake Brook has garnered highly positive feedback for its unique concept and the quality of the cabins themselves, with many guests expressing a desire to "come back again." The booking is straightforward, often emphasizing direct bookings through their platform which has recently integrated with Marriott Bonvoy, allowing guests to earn points and elite night credits. While specific promotional campaigns might vary, potential offers could include:

  • Marriott Bonvoy Benefits: As a participating Marriott Bonvoy property, guests can earn 10 base points per dollar spent and elite night credits. Elite members (Gold, Platinum, etc.) may receive welcome gifts of points. This integration could lead to future promotions for Bonvoy members.

  • Seasonal Pricing: Rates may fluctuate based on demand and seasonality, with potential for lower rates during off-peak times. Current rates range from approximately $99.00 - $299.00 depending on cabin type and dates.

  • Package Deals: Although less common for this specific type of accommodation, occasional packages might be offered that include activities or extended stays.

Despite the noted inflexibility in rescheduling policies for a past guest, the overall sentiment remains highly positive regarding the cabin quality, cleanliness, comfort, and the overall peaceful "escape" they offer. For those actively searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a focus on a quiet, nature-immersed, and self-sufficient experience, Postcard Cabins Blake Brook offers a compelling and memorable option in the heart of New Hampshire's natural beauty, providing the perfect "basecamp" for relaxation and outdoor exploration.

Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely rigid when it came to rescheduling. My husband and I had planned this for our anniversary weekend, a tradition we've kept with them as returning customers. We reached out more than 48 hours in advance to shift our reservation by just 1-2 days due to severe rain and storms, but were met with a flat refusal and told nothing could be done. We ended up spending three days stuck inside the cabin in bad stormy weather, and it completely ruined what was meant to be a special celebration. To make it worse, during our stay we noticed that more than half the cabins were empty, which proved that moving our date wouldn't have impacted any other bookings. We’ll be looking elsewhere going forward for a more understanding and flexible business. Very disappointed.

We stayed here for the first time and wow, what a TERRIBLE experience. Because of work, we arrived pretty late at night. After spending a bit of time outside, we tried to sleep. Within 5 minutes of us getting in bed, we started hearing scratching and scurrying from somewhere in the cabin. We tried to block it out, but couldn't fall asleep. Each time we stopped moving again, the noises would come back within 5-10 minutes. After a couple of hours, we could not sleep at all (it's now 1am) and had to drive 30 minutes to a new hotel. On my way out, I checked around the cabin and found what I am almost certain were mouse (black, rice grain shaped) droppings next to the trash can under the kitchen sink. I emailed Postcard that night, assuming they would refund the one night of our stay. I eventually heard back from them and they denied the presence of any rodents, saying "our team conducted a thorough inspection of the cabin after your stay and found no evidence of pests". To be honest, if their customer service wasn't so awful, it wouldn't have been a big deal. It's a cabin in the woods, stuff like this happens. But to deny both the presence of pests and refuse to refund the stay is unacceptable, in my opinion.

Very clean unit upon arrival, the door lock pad was not working and I was worried about gaining entry but there was a very responsive team who got back to me with clear instruction on how to get in another way. Making a fire in 5° weather is what it's all about, I had an amazing night with my wife. I was expecting to be a little bit more secluded from the other public units but all in all I had a great experience in the woods.

Such a nice escape into the woods😌. Cute little cabin with a complete kitchenette. There is no coffee maker but they provide a kettle. Super clean and a nice smell once you get inside. Bluetooth radio👌Bed is comfy. Complete bathroom (shampoo, body wash and conditioner). Not too close with the other cabins, privacy is respected.Cons: the lock pad on the door (but the team is very responsive if you get an issue with it) and the ergonomy of the bathroom (small). Close to the Epsom Town Forest and Neville trail, Bear Brook state park, etc. Great experience 😊🌲
