I was very disappointed in this exchange with my time share. I will include pictures. Horribly un-kept. Old, dated and dirty. I could go, pictures will be enough. I would say don't go. No one answers phone. I never read a review as a time share holder every place I stayed at was amazing. This one I read reviews and thought no, this can't be. I started calling 4 days before departure. No one answers, calls back or answers emails. Like to know where the owners dues and maintenance money is going? Air conditioner did not work first two days. Microwave doesn't spin, water pressure horrible. Pool closed 3 days.

Quail Hollow Village at Beech Mountain Lakes Introduce

For individuals in the Drums, PA area, or those planning a visit and searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a resort-style experience, Quail Hollow Village at Beech Mountain Lakes might appear as an option. Located at 1 Edge Rock Dr, Drums, PA 18222, USA, this establishment operates as a resort, potentially offering a different kind of stay compared to traditional hotels. The contact numbers provided are (570) 788-4108 and +1 570-788-4108. An objective introduction, based on the provided customer reviews, is crucial for local users to set realistic expectations.

The environment of Quail Hollow Village at Beech Mountain Lakes is described as having "great location" with "potential." Situated on a lake, particularly one unit being a "Beautiful spot" on the lake, suggests scenic views and a natural setting that could be appealing for relaxation and outdoor activities. The surrounding area offers "Excellent local restaurants, breweries, and wineries. Also good hiking," which speaks to the potential for local exploration and leisure pursuits. This implies that the geographical location itself holds promise for a pleasant vacation experience, offering opportunities for dining out and engaging with nature. The resort's setting near Beech Mountain Lakes inherently suggests access to water-based activities or views, which are often sought after in resort environments.

However, the prevailing sentiment regarding the current state of the resort's environment, particularly its facilities, is quite concerning based on customer feedback. The property is repeatedly described as "Horribly un-kept," "Old, dated and dirty." Specific issues mentioned include "stains in the bathtub and on the furniture" from one review, and another unit being "not cleaned well" and having a bedroom "taken over by ants including the bed." Furthermore, the "upper deck was off limits due to wood rot," indicating structural and safety concerns. Even a "prime" unit on the lake was found to have a "filthy kitchen," necessitating guests to "clean all the appliances and furniture" themselves. These descriptions paint a picture of an environment that, despite its natural beauty and location, is significantly let down by its maintenance and cleanliness standards, which directly impacts the comfort and enjoyment of guests.

Regarding services, the reviews highlight significant issues, primarily concerning communication and responsiveness. One customer repeatedly tried to contact the resort starting "4 days before departure," stating, "No one answers, calls back or answers emails." This lack of communication is a major red flag for any hospitality establishment, as it prevents guests from obtaining necessary information, resolving issues, or even confirming their booking. The question raised, "Like to know where the owners dues and maintenance money is going?" directly points to a perceived failure in service provision and property management. The initial response to the ant problem, sending "a guy over with a can of ant spray which was unacceptable," also indicates a reactive and insufficient approach to guest concerns rather than a proactive, professional service. The closure of the pool for "3 days" further demonstrates an inconsistency in facility availability, impacting planned activities for guests.

The features of the accommodations within Quail Hollow Village also receive considerable negative feedback. Key functional elements were reportedly not working. The "Air conditioner did not work first two days," which can significantly impact comfort, especially during warmer seasons. The "Microwave doesn't spin," rendering it less effective for heating food. "Water pressure horrible" also detracts from the basic comfort of a stay. The cleanliness of the provided amenities is also a major concern, with a "Vacuum was so full there is no way it could suck up anything," directly impeding guests' ability to maintain their own temporary living space if needed. These issues suggest that the internal features of the units are not being adequately maintained or updated, leading to a frustrating experience for visitors who expect functional appliances and a clean living space.

From a promotional perspective, the information provided is predominantly negative, making it challenging to highlight positive promotional aspects based solely on these reviews. The primary "promotional information" for local users searching "Hotels Near Of Me" must be a cautionary one, derived from the strong dissatisfaction expressed by previous guests. Phrases like "Horribly un-kept," "don't go," and "resort was so disappointing and did not reflect the description" serve as direct warnings. The consistent theme of unmet expectations – especially for a timeshare holder who had "amazing" experiences elsewhere and found this one to be unexpectedly poor despite reading prior negative reviews – is a strong deterrent. The potential of the "Beautiful spot" and the local attractions like "Excellent local restaurants, breweries, and wineries," and "good hiking" are mentioned, but these positive external factors are severely overshadowed by the internal failings of the resort itself. The reviews imply that while the location and surrounding activities offer promise, the resort's current condition and management prevent it from fulfilling that potential.

In conclusion, Quail Hollow Village at Beech Mountain Lakes, when viewed through the lens of available customer reviews for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Drums, PA area, presents a complex picture. While its natural environment and proximity to local attractions offer inherent appeal, the documented issues regarding maintenance, cleanliness, and communication services are significant. The resort is described as "dated" and in considerable need of "work," with a call for a "new cleaning crew." Guests report non-functional appliances and a general state of disrepair that contradicts expectations for a resort experience. Therefore, potential visitors should approach Quail Hollow Village with a clear understanding that while the surrounding area has much to offer, the resort itself, based on these accounts, requires substantial improvements to meet basic standards of comfort and service. It is advisable for prospective guests to contact the resort directly using the provided numbers, (570) 788-4108 or +1 570-788-4108, to inquire about recent renovations or changes before making a reservation, as the current information suggests a disappointing experience for many.

This location is great and the resort has potential, but it needs considerable work. We were first put in a unit that had not been cleaned well and the bedroom had been taken over by ants including the bed. They sent a guy over with a can of ant spray which was unacceptable. The place was dirty and the upper deck was off limits due to wood rot. They moved us to "prime" unit on the lake. Beautiful spot but filthy kitchen. Had to clean all the appliances and furniture. Would have been acceptable if the place had been clean. No excuse. Need a new cleaning crew. Vacuum was so full there is no way it could suck up anything. Excellent local restaurants, breweries, and wineries. Also good hiking. A shame the resort was so disappointing and did not reflect the description.

Our stay wasn't the best. I don't mind that everything was dated. It was the fact that there were dirty dishes, cups, utensils.. and the water with the tub was so extremely hot It was a task to give my baby a bath.. now the worst part was the entire place smelled like a cigarette smoker lived there for 50 years. Not exactly their fault but shame on who ever decided to smoke in a non smoking unit. All of our belonging smelled terrible because of it. Don't think we'll be back. Could have been very nice, there's a club house with a pool and mini lake beach.

The resort was OK. It was very outdated and needed many upgrades. When we arrived to the condo they still had dirty dishes in the sink and the chairs had crumbs in them. We called for house keeping and they did their part in trying to accommodate us. One of the rooms did not have a TV, which I think was a bummer for the kids. The fridge had crumbs in it. Other than that everything else was okay, the view was beautiful. The club house had a lot of fun things. They also had a mini beach , and you could rent kayaks and canoes.

We've been coming here for over 15 years and have always had a good experience. The condos are perfect for whatever stay you are looking for and offer easy access to the lake in addition to being close to the clubhouse, restaurant, and campgrounds. I will be honest to state that the condos are in need of some maintenance and updates and seeing how long we have been coming here, I feel that is a fair review and one that I hope the property managers are planning to address. Otherwise great for families, just wish they would allow pets.
