My husband Steve Kaslewicz recently stayed at this hotel. He had so many positive comments I had to compliment the staff and facility. The room was beautiful, the breakfast delicious and the staff was top notch. My husband is not easily impressed. Thank you. Job well done.
For individuals in Hazleton, PA, or travelers seeking a convenient and budget-friendly option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Red Roof Inn & Suites Hazleton presents itself as a practical choice. Located at 1341 N Church St, Hazleton, PA 18202, USA, this hotel aims to provide essential comforts and services for both short and longer stays, appealing to a diverse range of visitors.
The environment of the Red Roof Inn & Suites Hazleton offers a functional and generally comfortable setting. While specific details about the lobby aesthetics or overall design aren't extensively detailed, one guest enthusiastically described their room as "beautiful," suggesting that the hotel has made efforts in room presentation and decor. This positive impression of the room contributes to a pleasant stay for guests. The general atmosphere is that of a standard, no-frills accommodation that focuses on providing necessary amenities without excessive luxury.
Regarding the accommodations themselves, there are varying perspectives. On the positive side, guests have praised the "super fluffy and plentiful" towels, which is a small but significant detail that enhances comfort. The hot water availability is highlighted as "amazing," with "decent" water pressure, ensuring a comfortable showering experience. The hotel also utilizes "wicked cool wall soap dispensers," a detail that is both eco-friendly and tidy, contributing to a modern and efficient bathroom setup. From a cleanliness standpoint, one reviewer, with a professional background in cleaning, noted that the room was "mostly clean" and specifically mentioned that typically missed spots like "corners, mirrors, under and behind furniture" were clean. This indicates attention to detail in some areas of housekeeping.
However, the cleanliness feedback is not entirely consistent, and some significant concerns have been raised. One guest reported finding a "dirty spoon in the space between the wall and mattress," which raises questions about the thoroughness of cleaning, especially when sheets are changed. Additionally, "two questionable spots in the comforter" were found after the guest had already slept under it, which is understandably a "gross" experience. These inconsistencies in cleanliness are important considerations for prospective guests and suggest that while some areas are well-maintained, there might be occasional lapses in quality control.
The services at Red Roof Inn & Suites Hazleton receive a mix of feedback, particularly regarding staff and breakfast. A standout positive is the complimentary breakfast, which one guest described as "delicious," indicating a satisfying start to the day for visitors. This added value is a significant draw for many travelers searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" that include meal options. Furthermore, the overall staff professionalism and helpfulness were highlighted by one guest, who reported that their husband had "so many positive comments" about the staff being "top notch" and complimented the "job well done." The front desk lady dealing with the parking lot issue was also described as "nice about it," suggesting a generally polite and accommodating demeanor among the team.
Despite the generally positive remarks about staff, there was one instance of a "guy with zero personality" at check-in, where "conversation is not his forte." While this might be an isolated incident, it points to potential variations in individual staff member's customer service skills. Another significant concern raised by a guest was related to noise. Despite what looked like "sound proofing ceilings," the guest "literally heard them drop something on the floor, as well as yelling, furniture moving (???) and their dogs. All at 12a and 6:30a." This indicates potential issues with sound insulation, which can significantly impact guest comfort and sleep quality, especially in a hotel that may accommodate pets.
Another practical issue mentioned by a guest was difficulty leaving in the morning due to the "parking lot wasn't plowed" after snow. While the front desk staff was reportedly nice about it, this logistical challenge can be a major inconvenience for travelers, particularly those on tight schedules. This suggests that maintenance of external areas, especially during inclement weather, might be an area for improvement.
In terms of features, the Red Roof Inn & Suites Hazleton provides essential amenities expected from its brand, including comfortable rooms, a complimentary breakfast, and presumably pet-friendly policies (as indicated by the mention of dogs, though not explicitly stated as a feature of the hotel). The presence of wall-mounted soap dispensers speaks to a modern and environmentally conscious approach. The price point is generally appealing for a "budget hotel" classification, as one guest mentioned they were "just passing through and needed to get out of the snow," implying a practical and accessible option. The contact information, phone: (570) 454-2494 and mobile phone: +1 570-454-2494, offers direct access for inquiries and bookings.
For promotional information, the positive endorsements from guests, particularly regarding the "beautiful" rooms, "delicious" breakfast, and "top notch" staff, serve as strong testimonials. The brand recognition of Red Roof Inn also plays a role in attracting guests looking for a consistent and value-driven experience within the "Hotels Near Of Me" search category. The focus on basic comforts and cleanliness, despite some reported inconsistencies, positions it as a straightforward option for travelers.
In conclusion, the Red Roof Inn & Suites Hazleton at 1341 N Church St, Hazleton, PA, presents a mixed but generally practical option for those seeking "Hotels Near Of Me." Its strengths include a convenient location, a complimentary and delicious breakfast, generally praised staff, and basic room comforts like good hot water and plush towels. However, prospective guests should be aware of potential inconsistencies in room cleanliness, possible issues with noise from adjacent rooms, and challenges with parking lot maintenance during inclement weather. While it offers a valuable and functional stay for many, particularly those on a budget or needing a quick stop, the reported issues indicate that individual experiences may vary. Direct communication with the hotel for specific concerns prior to booking is always advisable.

Apr 14, 2025 · Donna OsbornFirst the good: The towels were super fluffy and plentiful. The hot water was amazing, water pressure was decent, not great They use those wicked cool wall soap dispensers. Very eco and tidy. The room was mostly clean. I’ve cleaned for a living and I know the spots that get missed ( corners, mirrors, under and behind furniture) and those were clean. The bad: I was “greeted” by a guy with zero personality, conversation is not his forte. , I found a dirty spoon in the space between the wall and mattress. It makes me wonder how it wasn’t found when they changed the sheets….. and I also found two questionable spots in the comforter after i already slept under it. Gross. Also, it looks like there’s sound proofing ceilings, but I literally heard them drop something on the floor. As well as yelling, furniture moving (???) and their dogs. All at 12a and 630a. It was a joy. Also couldn’t leave in the morning because the parking lot wasn’t plowed . The front desk lady was nice about it. I’m just passing through and needed to get out of the snow. I’ll never come back. Great towels though!

Jan 31, 2025 · Karen BouletteI have stayed at the Red Roof in Hazleton Pa many times before and have been satisfied. Last night I stayed again and it was terrible. I took pictures of the issues and Shelly, the person that checked me out, said she would have the manager get in touch about it that day and maybe even give me a partial refund at least, because she agreed it was unacceptable. It's been 6 days and I haven't heard from her. The musty smell hit me as soon as I walked in the room and stayed on my clothes until I finally washed them. The bathroom mirror was dirty, there was a big hairball on the floor, a piece of metal on the floor, the tv didn't work, and what looked like an old blood stain on the bottom sheet -- which I discovered in the morning! Gross. The room didn't warm up for hours, and I finally discovered one of the windows wasn't closed tightly, but it was painted open an inch or more - so I couldn't move it at all. I ended up sleeping in my coat. This was the second room I had been put in, as the first one had many of the same issues. The ONLY reason I decided to stay at all is that it was well after midnight and there were no other places easily available. As it was less than 20° outside, staying in this room was, minimally, better than sleeping in my car. Completely disappointed, am going to reach out for a full refund, but will not be going back here again.
Jan 28, 2025 · Mary StrombergIt definitely needs an Upgrade. It’s not a place you stay for more than 1-2 nights. Cons: sofa bed needed some sheets, we needed extra towels since it was 4 guest (we did have to go to the front desk and ask) the guy was pleasant and took care of us. Funny smell (maybe because it’s just not upgraded), No shampoo/conditioner in the dispenser, no soap, tub wasn’t that cleaned, several outlets don’t work, unsure of the cleaning process I don’t think they come everyday. Pro: It has breakfast, nothing crazy which is good to have (coffee/juice/ cereal/ waffle/boil egg/ oatmeal). Pretty quiet around, there’s parking, there’s a few places walking distance (food or plaza) incase you want to take a walk. Overall okay stay for a weekend.
