Decent place to stay if you remember you get what you pay for. Beds were clean and comfortable, room was clean. However the desk chair was broken and the bedspread had a burn hole in it. Breakfast selection sucked, there were no lids for the coffee cups and basically all they had was bread and mini muffins. The hotel itself was fairly decent and everyone we dealt with was pleasant. I would probably stay there again if I had too

Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi access is generally available throughout the property, allowing guests to stay connected for work or leisure. Daily housekeeping services are typically provided, and positive guest feedback often specifically commends the housekeeping staff for being "very helpful and friendly and kind," indicating a strong effort in maintaining cleanliness in rooms, which is a significant positive point against some other reported issues.
Customer reviews for Quality Inn Cromwell - Middletown present a mixed, yet candid, view of the hotel. Positively, guests often mention that the "beds were clean and comfortable" and that the "room was clean," with housekeeping staff receiving strong praise for their dedication. The overall pleasantness of the staff members guests interacted with is also noted. The affordability of the stay is a key factor, with some guests acknowledging that they "get what you pay for" and considering it a "decent place to stay" given the price. However, significant negative feedback also arises. Recurring complaints include the limited and poor quality of the complimentary breakfast. More critically, guests have reported maintenance issues within rooms, such as a "broken desk chair," a "bedspread had a burn hole in it," and a "broken leaking toilet." Furthermore, a concerning issue of double charging for reservations, where guests were charged by Booking.com upon reservation and again by the hotel upon arrival, leading to financial complications, has been reported. This, combined with a perceived lack of helpfulness from staff regarding such issues, causes considerable frustration and a reluctance for guests to return unless "desperate." The overall impression from these negative reviews is that while cleanliness of core bedding and rooms might be maintained by housekeeping, the general upkeep, functionality of amenities, and handling of billing issues can be problematic.
For promotional information, Quality Inn, as part of Choice Hotels, offers several ways for guests to find deals. The Choice Privileges loyalty program allows members to earn and redeem points for stays, access exclusive member rates, and enjoy benefits like late check-out. Guests can typically find competitive pricing by booking directly through the Choice Hotels website or through various online travel agencies (OTAs) like Booking.com, Expedia, and Priceline. The hotel may participate in seasonal sales or special discounts offered by Choice Hotels. Given the "budget-friendly" nature of the property, the competitive pricing itself is often a key promotional aspect. However, potential guests are strongly advised to meticulously review the most recent customer feedback and clarify all charges, including any potential for double billing or hidden fees, before finalizing a reservation. Direct communication with the hotel regarding specific room conditions and available amenities is also recommended to set accurate expectations.
In conclusion, Quality Inn Cromwell - Middletown, located at 111 Berlin Rd, Cromwell, CT 06416, USA, presents itself as a budget-conscious option for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me." While it offers clean and comfortable beds and a generally pleasant housekeeping staff, potential guests should be aware of reported limitations concerning breakfast quality, room maintenance issues, and, critically, potential billing discrepancies. Its convenient location provides good access to Cromwell, Middletown, and the wider central Connecticut area. For travelers prioritizing affordability and a basic, clean place to sleep, and who are prepared to manage expectations regarding amenities and potential service issues, it could be considered, but thorough pre-booking verification is highly recommended.

Apr 09, 2025 · Bob BlackleyI booked three nights through booking.com and was charged upon my reservation and then as well as when I got to the hotel was charged again except it was a lot more expensive however considering that I had to switch my day by one I agreed to it the hotel was yes cheap but pretty gross The people there were not helpful and as far as Booking was concerned or was telling me, it was the hotel that I actually took the money from my account for the reservation so now I’m left trying to sort that out and I was Supposed to stay 3 nights per my Initial reservation, (but then only was able to stay 2 and charged more )nstead of three nights.. and yes, I’d have to say also the breakfast was pretty disgusting and the toilet was broken leaking would I stay there again? I’d have to really be desperate for a place to stay because I probably could’ve gotten a better room @ another better place for the same amount of money that they charged me not including the double charge. The only thing that was five stars were the housekeeping staff. They were very helpful and friendly and kind.
Apr 28, 2025 · Jennelle LoveI saved the best for last, keep reading. No trash bin in room or bathroom. This is the worst offense, and seems like management knows the whole room is a trash bin. Towels and toilet paper (including the spare) looked used. No desk chair. Desk lamp not plugged in. I'm not getting on the floor to do that myself. Floor lamp not plugged in. No outlet nearby. No outlets on the bed table. No restroom in lobby (I came in from a 14-hour straight drive). Front desk tried to charge me $30 more than their website. While negotiating with me, he received a phone call and stepped away from the front desk to receive groceries(?!) outside. When he returned, he came down to their website (THEIR WEBSITE) price. No wifi info in the room, had to call and ask, and it took me several tries to get the password correct due to his heavy accent (not his fault, but he seemed rude). His saving grace is, his "bad" behavior might just be cultural difference. I can forgive that. I can't forgive the room. EDIT: I just came back from the "continental breakfast". Pancake machine spit out burnt crisps, then two undercooked pancakes. One overripe banana, six green ones. No ripe ones. Apples? I got there at 7am, only two other guys there, one had an apple, and there were no apples left. A few cups of peach yogurt, no other flavors or brands. A few small, packaged muffins.
Jan 08, 2025 · Cormandystayed for 3 days, the rooms are not clean whatsoever. red/blood looking stains on the blankets, the toilet appears to have mold(?) in it and it also moves when you sit down, bathroom has a weird odor, dirty shower, room and hallway had a weird odor, and there was a condom wrapper behind the bed. overall i had a horrible experience and i would genuinely rather sleep in a car than in here. do not waste your money.
Dec 19, 2024 · DizzyThe lady who checked me in was lovely, on Sunday the 1st of December and so is everyone who works here. CARPET should not be in rooms since it holds onto smoke , pet hairs and is hard to clean. Hardwood floors please. Pancakes for breakfast, muffins, cereal and fruit is not bad, thank you for that.
