Very outdated (no USB outlets, so don’t forget charger cubes). Spider webs suggests that the cleaning crew isn’t thorough. Pet policy is very misleading and they charge for even service dogs. There are no American staff which can cause language barriers. Overpriced — over $100/night but worth less.
For individuals searching for "Hotels Near Me" in the Glenmont, NY, area, the Quality Inn & Suites Glenmont - Albany South, located at 15 Frontage Rd, Glenmont, NY 12077, USA, may appear in search results. The hotel can be reached via phone at (518) 300-1363 or mobile at +1 518-300-1363. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview, drawing upon available information and, crucially, significant customer feedback to give a comprehensive picture for potential guests.
Typically, Quality Inn & Suites properties, as part of the Choice Hotels family, are expected to offer a comfortable and consistent experience with a range of standard amenities. However, the online reviews for this specific Glenmont location present a challenging narrative that prospective guests should be fully aware of before considering a stay. It is paramount to present these issues transparently.
Regarding the environment and facilities, information suggests that the hotel structure itself may be somewhat outdated. Customer reviews frequently mention that the property feels "very outdated," specifically noting the absence of modern conveniences such as USB outlets in rooms, which can be a significant inconvenience for today's travelers who rely heavily on electronic devices. This lack of modern infrastructure can impact the overall comfort and convenience of a stay. Furthermore, concerning cleanliness, there are direct complaints indicating a lack of thoroughness, with specific mentions of "spider webs" in rooms, suggesting that the cleaning crew might not be as diligent as expected in a hospitality setting. While basic room features like private bathrooms, air conditioning, and a television are typically available, the condition and upkeep of these features are called into question by guest experiences.
The service aspect of Quality Inn & Suites Glenmont - Albany South is a major point of concern, as highlighted by numerous customer reviews. Staff interactions are consistently described in highly negative terms. Phrases such as "very rude," "disrespectful," and accusations of attempting to "scam you" are prominent. A particular and severe incident detailed by a customer involves alleged fraudulent billing practices, where a significant amount was held and then charged from their account despite attempts to cancel the reservation at the front desk. This account suggests a serious breakdown in communication, customer service, and potentially ethical practices, involving claims of false "no call no show" reporting to a third-party booking partner (Choice Hotels in this case), even when the guest was physically present to cancel. Such reports indicate a profound lack of trust and reliability in the hotel's operational and financial dealings with guests. Another review highlights potential "language barriers" with non-American staff, which, while not a direct fault, can contribute to misunderstandings and difficulties in resolving issues for guests.
Features that guests might expect from a Quality Inn & Suites typically include complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and potentially amenities like a fitness center or business services. While the hotel's official listings would likely highlight these, the overwhelming negative sentiment from reviews shifts the focus dramatically to more fundamental issues. The pet policy, for instance, is explicitly called out as "very misleading," with a guest stating that the hotel charges for service dogs, which is contrary to typical regulations and expectations for such animals. This suggests a deviation from standard hospitality practices and a potential source of unexpected costs for guests.
In terms of promotional information, any positive marketing would likely be overshadowed by the consistent and severe negative feedback available online. While hotels typically emphasize their value proposition, guests explicitly state that this property is "overpriced" and "worth less" than the over $100/night charge, indicating that the perceived value does not align with the actual experience. The most powerful "promotional" message from customer reviews is a strong warning to "NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL" due to the alleged staff and management behavior. This negative word-of-mouth, based on real customer incidents, serves as a stark warning to anyone considering booking this establishment through "Hotels Near Me" or any other platform.
In summary, for local users searching "Hotels Near Me" and encountering Quality Inn & Suites Glenmont - Albany South, it is critical to proceed with extreme caution. While it might offer a seemingly convenient location on Frontage Road in Glenmont, the pervasive and severe negative reviews concerning outdated facilities, questionable cleanliness, misleading policies (especially regarding pets), and highly problematic customer service and billing practices, paint a picture of a hotel that may not meet even basic expectations for a comfortable or trustworthy stay. The allegations of rudeness, disrespect, and attempted scams are particularly alarming and should be a primary consideration for any prospective guest. The objective information strongly suggests that the actual guest experience at this location falls significantly short of typical hotel standards, making it a potentially risky choice despite any initial appearance of affordability or brand affiliation.

Apr 23, 2025 · Antoinesia MorrisonThe staff is very rude they took $117 from our account as a hold and try to charge us another $228 and then we try to cancel the reservation at the front desk and they say ok, then I get a email from Danny Patel the manager saying they can’t cancel it cause we booked through a third party which is their partner company choice hotels, I give choice a call they say they cancelled it and that we are ok. I checked my bank account today and they took $134 out of my account l. I called choice hotels and they said they put us down as a no call no show which isn’t true cause I was in the hotel lobby where there are cameras telling them to cancel the reservation, which supposedly they said they did. NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTLE CAUSE THE STAFF AND MANAGER ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF $300.
Mar 05, 2025 · Lucas BreckenridgeWould not recommend this place. Unfortunately, we had quite a bad experience and ended up not staying the night. We came back from dinner to find several cockroaches in the room - on the bedside table, the desk, and in the bathroom. When we notified the front desk, they did not provide any immediate cleaning assistance nor did they offer a refund. We were very upset about how things were managed and level of cleanliness of the room. Wanted to mention that the whole room very quite unsafe from the beginning. Upon arrival, we noticed the room door would not fully shut leaving a large gap between the door and the frame. There was a noticeable draft and you could hear everything going on outside. One of the locks was damaged and didn't work properly. And the window had a large crack in it. Again, would not recommend staying here.
Oct 21, 2024 · Tom ParkThe walls/ceiling/floor are so thin, you hear EVERYTHING around you. The beds/pillows are very uncomfortable leaving me with a very stiff neck/shoulder. The rooms are clean & the bathroom was nice though. Their check-in staff does not disclose the hotel’s policies well and breakfast hours end far too early (should conclude at check out time). The location is next to a truck yard and is a bit loud in the morning.
Oct 19, 2024 · Jon MunitzRoom has very musty smell. Got a headache. AC unit looks clean and provides cool air so not sure where musty smell is. Hallways are warm without AC. Sheets look ok. No bed bugs thankfully. Window curtains have never been washed and are yellow from age. Probably the worst hotel in the area.
