May 2025: Great, easy access to I-65 and food options nearby. A bit noisy from highway traffic but not awful. Great hot breakfast: waffles, yogurt, muffins, fruit, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, etc. Rooms are comfortable and decently clean but could use some updating in the bathrooms.
For travelers exploring options under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Southern Indiana, particularly those transiting through or visiting the Sellersburg area, Quality Inn & Suites at 111 Enterprise Way, Sellersburg, IN 47172, USA, presents itself as a readily accessible lodging choice. This hotel offers a range of services aimed at providing a comfortable and convenient stay. For inquiries and reservations, guests can reach the hotel at (812) 748-2170 or +1 812-748-2170.
Quality Inn & Suites in Sellersburg benefits from a highly advantageous location with great, easy access to Interstate 65. This is a significant draw for travelers, as it allows for swift onward journeys and quick connections to nearby cities, including Louisville, Kentucky, which is just across the Ohio River. The hotel is situated very close to the Sellersburg exit off Highway 65, making it a convenient stop for those on long drives. The ample and well-lit parking lot is a practical benefit, ensuring guests have secure and easy parking, especially at night.
The immediate vicinity of the hotel offers several food options nearby, providing guests with convenient dining choices without having to venture far. While the proximity to the highway contributes to accessibility, some guests have noted a bit of noise from highway traffic. However, this is generally described as "not awful," indicating that it doesn't severely detract from the overall comfort. The exterior and common areas typically reflect a standard chain hotel aesthetic, aiming for functionality and ease of use. The general environment is geared towards practicality for travelers.
Quality Inn & Suites aims to provide essential services that enhance a traveler's stay, with some aspects receiving high praise and others indicating areas for improvement. A significant highlight is the complimentary hot breakfast, which is consistently lauded by guests. The breakfast spread often includes a variety of items such as waffles, yogurt, muffins, fruit, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and more, offering a satisfying start to the day.
The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, ensuring that assistance is available around the clock. Most employees are frequently described as very friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive guest experience. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is provided, allowing guests to stay connected for work or leisure. For guests needing to refresh their wardrobe, laundry facilities are available on-site. However, specific guest feedback indicates issues with the washing machine, with one review detailing a malfunctioning unit that only filled and drained cold water without agitation, and a lack of prompt resolution from staff regarding the issue or a refund.
Another crucial service is the indoor pool. However, it's vital for prospective guests to be aware that the indoor pool is closed seasonally, specifically from October to March yearly. This information is not always clearly communicated during the reservation process or at check-in, leading to disappointment for guests, particularly those traveling with children who anticipate using the pool. Policies regarding cancellations due to this closure have been a point of contention for some guests.
The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing pets for an additional fee. This is a valuable service for travelers with animal companions. Other services may include a business center and fitness center, providing additional conveniences for both business and leisure travelers. Vending machines are also typically available for snacks and beverages.
The rooms at Quality Inn & Suites are designed to be comfortable and functional. They typically include essential amenities such as flat-screen TVs with cable channels, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. The bedding is generally considered comfortable, providing a decent place for a night's sleep.
However, cleanliness and maintenance are areas where guest experiences vary significantly. While some reviews describe rooms as "decently clean," others report significant cleanliness issues, including visible "mystery stains" on headboards, mattresses, and walls by the beds, as well as spiderwebs and general dust. These observations suggest inconsistencies in housekeeping standards and a need for more thorough cleaning and updating in certain areas. Exposed wiring, debris, and caked-on dirt on ice machine dispensers, along with the presence of stink bugs, have also been reported, pointing to potential maintenance and pest control issues.
Guests have also noted that while functional, some bathrooms could use updating. This indicates that while the basic amenities are present, the aesthetic and modernity might not be consistent across all rooms. Despite these concerns, the core features aim to provide a practical and accessible stay for travelers on a budget.
Quality Inn & Suites in Sellersburg primarily appeals to travelers seeking value and a convenient location. The complimentary hot breakfast adds significant value, saving guests time and money on morning meals. Its position directly off I-65 makes it an ideal overnight stop for those on road trips or for individuals with business in the Southern Indiana/Louisville metropolitan area. The hotel's pet-friendly policy also makes it a strong contender for travelers with animal companions, expanding its appeal.
Promotional efforts would likely highlight the ease of access to Louisville and its attractions, such as the Kentucky Exposition Center, Churchill Downs, and downtown Louisville, all within a reasonable driving distance. For those visiting the immediate Sellersburg area, the hotel serves as a practical base. The hotel's pricing is typically competitive, positioning it as an affordable option for budget-conscious travelers. While it may not offer luxury, its focus on providing essential amenities and a convenient location at a reasonable price is its core strength. Potential guests should, however, be mindful of the seasonal pool closure and the mixed feedback on cleanliness and maintenance when making their booking decisions, perhaps by inquiring directly about room conditions or specific amenities if they are critical to their stay.

May 12, 2025 · Tiffany PulkowskiMy two teenagers and I recently stayed here due to a water main break in our neighborhood that had our water off for a few days. We made the reservation through the Choice Hotels website and check in was uncomplicated and friendly when we arrived. The location of the hotel is pretty ideal for travelers due to being situated very close to the Sellersburg exit off of Highway 65 in Southern Indiana. The parking is ample and the lot is well lite at night. Most of the employees we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. With that being said, we discovered that the indoor pool is closed from October to March yearly. There is no mention of that during the reservation process, nor when you check in. My son was very disappointed and I was not allowed to cancel our reservation to go to a different hotel with an indoor pool that the kids could actually use. I was told that there was nothing they could do and that I would be charged for the full amount of I cancelled the room at that point. So, we were pretty much stuck. The person at the desk was the manager, so there was no one else with whom to address this matter. Also, I asked about the onsite laundry options and was pointed to the one washer and one dryer they have on the 2nd floor. So, after putting in a load of clothes, I started the washing machine and it would only fill and drain (cold water only). There was no agitation to the cycles at all. So, the clothes still had soap and fabric softener on them when it was done. Luckily there was a 24 hour laundromat near by. I reported the washing machine to the lady at the front desk and she didn't offer to give me my money back ($2.50), nor did she put an out of order sign in the machine to keep other guests from losing their money as well. So, I made a sign "Out of Order" and placed it on the machine. The sign was removed by someone afterwards. I typically don't take this much time when reviewing a hotel, but there were several cleanliness issues here and unsafe practices (exposed wiring, debris and caked on dirt on ice machine dispenser, and stink bugs in random locations throughout the building and rooms). My chief complaint, however, was with the bedding and various dried on mystery stains that were on the headboards of the bed and on the mattresses/walls by the beds. Clearly the stains had been there for quite some time and visibly, there hadn't been an attempt to clean them off. So, we were left to avoid the beds altogether. Thank goodness we had our home to return to for sleeping.
Mar 01, 2025 · Martial MixxThis is an older hotel. Rooms have a mildew, smoky scent. Carpet was sticky. Basic essentials provided. Breakfast was all cold options.
Feb 14, 2025 · Jeanne DeanguloAwful service, rundown, whole place smelled like marijuana, room was $60 more expensive than advertised. Pool closed, free breakfast not included, AWFUL experience, will never stay at a Quality Inn again.
Mar 30, 2025 · Harrison FegleyI am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. My experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to bring several issues to your attention in the hope that steps will be taken to address them. Firstly, the behavior of your staff was unacceptable. The individual at the front desk was particularly rude and unprofessional. When I presented my card for payment, they not only handled it carelessly but also threw it back at me in a disrespectful manner. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from someone in a customer-facing role. Secondly, the room service was abysmal. I ordered a pizza during my stay, and not only did I never receive it, but I was still charged for it. This level of service is incredibly disappointing, and it is concerning that your staff would fail to follow through while still processing the charge. Additionally, I was charged double for my room, despite only intending to stay for one day. I do not understand how this mistake occurred, but it is extremely frustrating and has caused unnecessary financial stress. Overall, my experience at your hotel has been one of the worst I’ve encountered. I expected a much higher standard of professionalism, service, and hospitality, and your team fell far short of these expectations. I am requesting a full refund for the erroneous charges, including the pizza I never received and the additional day’s charge for the room I did not book. I also believe that this incident warrants a review of your staff’s training in customer service and professionalism. Please address these issues at your earliest convenience. I hope that corrective measures will be taken to ensure that future guests do not have to endure a similar experience. You may contact me at [your contact information] to discuss this matter further.
