Tl;dr: This is a dingy 1-star motel in a hotel suit. The staff was very kind and attentive, but the hotel itself is terribly dated. The doors are not secure to the building and questionably secure to the rooms. The room was very dated and in a state of disrepair. The TVs were small and damaged. The furniture worn out or broken. The suite had only butter knives (no silverware?) so I don't know how one would cook. The room was just dingy and sad and cobwebby. The wallpaper in the bathroom was dirty. Pluses: Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The pool looked decent (but was inside in the open like old motel style, which made the entire hotel incredibly humid; I can't imagine it in the summer).

The hotel's strong emphasis on business and event hosting, with considerable conference space, sets it apart. While it maintains elements of an older property, efforts are made to provide modern necessities like free Wi-Fi and in-room appliances (refrigerators, microwaves). However, an objective review of customer feedback reveals a consistent theme regarding the hotel's condition. Many guests describe the property as "terribly dated," "dingy," and in a "state of disrepair." Specific complaints include:
Overall Condition: Rooms and common areas are often perceived as worn out, with damaged furniture, dirty wallpaper, and cobwebs. The "old coil-design fluorescent bulbs" for lighting contribute to a dim atmosphere.
Security Concerns: A significant concern raised by guests is the lack of security for exterior doors, with reports that anyone can enter the building at any time, which impacts the feeling of safety for guests.
Room Amenities: While TVs are present, they are often described as small, old LED panel style with low-definition reception, and limited channel choices, with local channels often not coming in. Kitchenette facilities in suites may lack basic silverware.
Humidity: The central indoor pool, while an amenity, contributes to a noticeable damp and humid feeling throughout the building and in the rooms, which can be uncomfortable.
Breakfast Cost: The fact that breakfast is an additional charge (and not complimentary) is a point of disappointment for some guests, especially when comparing it to other hotels in the same category that offer free breakfast.
Despite these challenges, the staff consistently receives high praise for being "very kind and attentive," "friendly and accommodating." Housekeeping is generally reported as good, with daily room maintenance. Coffee is made available at the front reception area, which is a small but appreciated touch. These positive aspects of staff interaction often mitigate some of the physical shortcomings of the property for guests.
In summary, while the Ramada by Wyndham Indiana offers a wide range of services and a convenient location, particularly for business and events, potential guests using "Hotels Near Of Me" should manage their expectations regarding the hotel's age and upkeep. It may appeal to those seeking a budget-friendly option with an indoor pool and event facilities, and who prioritize friendly service over modern aesthetics and amenities. However, for those with higher expectations for room condition and security, it might be advisable to consider alternative options in the Indiana, PA area.

May 15, 2025 · Liz McLaughlinBit dated. The pool is inside, centrally located in the building, causing it to feel rather damp inside the building and rooms. Breakfast is NOT included with the room price. It is an additional $8 as of the date of writing this. Entry doors are not secured, anyone can enter at any time through any exterior door in the building. Lighting in rooms is rather dim, most if not all the bulbs were the old coil-design florescent bulbs that take quite a while to warm up and brighten. TV's are old LED panel style, low definition reception, local channels do not come in, inquired at the desk and I was told they don't receive them. Channels that do come in are a random choice of maybe 20 channels. Housekeeping is good, they come by every day to maintain rooms. Coffee was made available at the front reception area daily. The people working there were very friendly and nice.
Apr 08, 2025 · Jason BrownThis property was horrible. The facilities are so old and outdated. The pictures online look nothing like the actual property. The bathroom was not clean there was someone else’s hair in the bathtub, mold in the bathroom tiles, rusted towel racks and dustballs in the vent big enough to sleep in the bed with you. There were several ceiling tiles that had visible brown water stains. The whole experience was just YUCK! To think we drove 5 hours an couldn't even get a shower and relax. Major DISDAPOINTMENT!!!!!!
