We brought the kids here just for a weekend getaway so they could swim in the pool, get in the indoor whirlpool with jets and do some activities in the area. We upgraded our room to the premier room which had a couple granola bars, a water, a grape juice and a bag of microwavable popcorn. Nice touch!! Some of the things in the hotel are outdated but for the price you can't really complain. All of the employees from the front desk, breakfast attendant and housekeeping were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was awesome. The options were bagels, different breads for toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, peppered gravy, biscuits, waffles or mini waffles, yogurt, 2 different kinds of cereal, coffee, orange juice and apple juice, butter, jams, jellies and cream cheese. We enjoyed our stay. Our room was nice and the A C. worked so great! Definitely recommend and will be back.
For us Tennesseans, finding a good value when traveling is always a priority, and sometimes that means a practical, budget-friendly stay that still offers key comforts. The Red Roof PLUS+ & Suites Knoxville West - Cedar Bluff aims to fit that bill, providing essential amenities and a convenient location in West Knoxville. This hotel is part of the Red Roof PLUS+ brand, which generally signifies an upgraded experience compared to a standard Red Roof Inn, often including more modern furnishings and additional perks.
Guests who have chosen this hotel for a "weekend getaway" particularly appreciate the indoor whirlpool and seasonal outdoor pool, perfect for some family fun. The complimentary breakfast buffet is also a big hit, offering a spread of "bagels, different breads for toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, peppered gravy, biscuits, waffles or mini waffles, yogurt, 2 different kinds of cereal, coffee, orange juice and apple juice," ensuring a hearty start to the day without an extra cost. The "friendly and accommodating" staff also contribute to a positive experience for many. However, it's worth noting that some experiences highlight areas where the hotel might be showing its age or needs more consistent attention to detail, with one guest detailing "outdated" furnishings, strong smells of "smoke" and "weed" in hallways, and cleanliness issues in their room, including "vomit stains" and "food splattered" walls. This indicates a mixed bag of experiences, reflecting that while the price point is appealing, individual room conditions may vary.

Jun 08, 2025 · Alysha PeacockAbsolute worst experience we have ever had with a hotel. We were booking very last minute, so we didn’t research Knoxville as extensively as we obviously should have. The hotel is dated, dirty, and in obvious need of a deep clean. I can overlook dated hallways or lobbies. The room however? Absolutely vile. It reeked of smoke, there was literally a plastic target bag over the smoke detector taped up by some precious guest, not removed by housekeeping before our arrival or during our stay. The floor between the beds was covered with what appeared to be vomit stains. The wall by the desk covered in food of some sort, maybe tomato sauce, just splattered everywhere. Walls were dirty everywhere we looked but the smell of smoke was absolutely overwhelming. The halls smelled like weed, our room cigarettes. After 2 nights of our 3 night stay we had to leave and stay somewhere else it was just so dirty we were scared for our 18 month old to even be there. We spent as little time as possible there. Upon checkout the front desk lady didn’t ask our name, room, how our stay was, or why we were leaving early. In fact she didn’t remove either of her AirPods and just said “okay bye!” Not sure she even heard us. Truly the worst hotel stay of my life, anything will feel like a 5 star resort after this experience.
Apr 29, 2025 · Laura CarnahanThe lobby's beautiful. The room that we stayed in was very nice. We had a kitchenette which was very nice. We could go to the grocery store and buy paper plates and paper towels and boxes of Kleenex. Just a suggestion. Maybe have them available for guests if you want to have them purchased for $3 or something Beds are comfy No elevator must use stairs Beautiful pool area I gave everything a four because things just weren't perfect. For instance, the air conditioning looked dirty and dated the fountain by the pool was all in disarray. Perhaps they were fixing it and while the floor of the bathroom didn't have any visible hairs except behind the toilet, there was no bath mat. So when the water on the floor got wiped up with toilet tissue, it was kinda dirty. I typically just bring Clorox wipes, because I'd rather compromise some things not to pay a huge hotel bill. I was pretty happy with everything for the price.
Mar 09, 2025 · DeniWe reserved a room for this hotel through VRBO. I wrote a review there but it was deleted. It was listed as "family friendly", and this is not an accurate description. This is also a long term stay hotel. The exterior door to our section didn't automatically close, leaving us feeling unsafe as there were a large amount of people loitering in the parking lot who could have come in and out as they desired. Our room, while recently updated, had a filthy bathroom and we found a pill on the floor. The hallway smelled of cigarette and marijuana smoke and it lingered into our room. We witnessed two events in the parking lot that brought us to a logical conclusion that drugs were being sold in the lot to residents at the inn. We checked out less than 3 hours after checking in. We notified the desk staff who was very kind. They were mortified. This facility needs a security guard and some major security upgrades and an enforced smoking policy or clean carpets. We requested a reimbursement from the property and they refunded us 25%. I emailed the GM twice and never heard back, not even an acknowledgement. Don't go here.
May 20, 2025 · emily smithThere is obviously zero property management going on at this facility because of the decay. The rooms are filthy missing remotes towels soap and curtains. The walls and the bedrooms are covered in disgustingness i think county jails are cleaner. There are transients all over the parking lot.I would definitely not feel safe bringing my children here. The pool is questionable when you see the people staying in the rooms.Do not spend your money here.
