Rooms are clean, quiet, spacious, heater works fine and the water pressure is good too. There was no deadbolt and the lock knob was faulty, so just be extra careful with your valuables (i.e. staff could enter the room as they wished, though nothing of that sort occurred during my stay here). $75 for a single bed per night, cash accepted, no finnicky deposits required. One downside is that they charge according to the number of people as opposed to per room ($125 for a room for 2). Receptionist was helpful and accomodating and allowed me to take a look at the room before checking in. No breakfast option. Near some affordable food options and a dollar store. There were a couple of people loitering around the area, but other than that I felt pretty safe staying here.

Regency Inn & Suites Introduce

Welcome to Nashville, Tennessee! For locals and travelers alike, finding a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Music City is always a priority. Whether you're visiting for a concert, a family gathering, or just need a convenient spot for a quick overnight, understanding your options is key. Today, we're taking a look at a budget-friendly choice that aims to provide the essentials for a simple, straightforward stay: the Regency Inn & Suites.

The Regency Inn & Suites positions itself as a no-frills accommodation that focuses on providing fundamental comforts at an accessible price point. Unlike larger, full-service hotels with extensive amenities, this establishment is designed for guests who prioritize cleanliness, space, and a quiet environment without needing the added luxuries. It caters to travelers looking for a place to rest their heads that offers good value for money. For Tennesseans, this could be an ideal option for accommodating guests on a budget, for a quick stopover on a long journey through the state, or for attending events in Nashville without breaking the bank on lodging.

Location and Accessibility

The Regency Inn & Suites is located at 1516 Hampton St, Nashville, TN 37207, USA. This address places it within the Talbot's Corner area of Nashville, which is generally considered a more suburban or local neighborhood, slightly removed from the immediate downtown core.

From this location, guests can find some local conveniences nearby. Reviewers have noted its proximity to "some affordable food options and a dollar store," which can be handy for grabbing quick meals or forgotten essentials. This suggests the area offers practical amenities for travelers on a budget.

In terms of accessibility to Nashville's major attractions, the Regency Inn & Suites is within a reasonable driving distance. It's approximately a 5-minute drive from Nissan Stadium, making it quite convenient for those attending Titans games, concerts, or other large-scale events there. Popular downtown attractions like Printer's Alley, Broadway (with its famous honky-tonks), and Bridgestone Arena are also accessible, typically within a 5 to 10-minute drive, though some sources indicate it could be around 3.8 to 3.9 miles (6.1 to 6.3 km) to Broadway and Bridgestone Arena. This means guests will likely need a car or rely on ride-sharing services to explore the city's main entertainment and cultural hubs.

Regarding the immediate surroundings, one guest mentioned "a couple of people loitering around the area," but overall, they "felt pretty safe staying here." This indicates a mixed environment but one where most guests can still feel secure. Parking is available on-site and is free, which is a significant advantage in Nashville, where parking can often be costly and scarce. The hotel's location offers easy access to major roads, facilitating onward travel.

Services Offered

The Regency Inn & Suites provides a focused set of services aimed at delivering a functional and comfortable stay for its guests.

  • 24-Hour Front Desk: The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, ensuring that staff are available around the clock to assist with check-in, check-out, and any immediate needs or inquiries from guests. The receptionist has been described as "helpful and accommodating."

  • Free On-Site Parking: Complimentary self-parking is available on-site, a significant perk in Nashville where parking can often incur additional costs. This adds convenience for guests traveling with their own vehicles.

  • Free WiFi: Complimentary wireless internet access is provided in all rooms and common areas, allowing guests to stay connected for work, entertainment, or planning their Nashville excursions.

  • Daily Housekeeping: Housekeeping services are provided daily, ensuring that rooms are maintained in a clean and tidy condition throughout a guest's stay, with fresh towels and basic replenishment.

  • Air-Conditioned Rooms: All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable temperature, especially during Nashville's warm months.

  • Heater: The rooms also feature working heaters, providing comfort during cooler seasons.

  • LED Televisions with Cable: Rooms come with LED televisions and cable programming for guest entertainment.

  • Shower/Tub Combinations: Bathrooms are equipped with standard shower/tub combinations.

  • Desk and Desk Chair: Rooms include a desk and chair, useful for business travelers or for guests who need a dedicated workspace.

  • ATM/Banking Services: An ATM is available on-site for guest convenience.

  • Cash Accepted: The hotel explicitly accepts cash payments, which can be a flexible payment option for some travelers, and does not require "finnicky deposits" according to one review.

  • No Breakfast Option: It is important to note that the hotel does not offer a breakfast option. Guests will need to plan to get breakfast from nearby food establishments.

Features / Highlights

The Regency Inn & Suites focuses on providing core features that contribute to a value-oriented stay, while also having some areas that potential guests should be aware of.

  • Clean and Spacious Rooms: A consistent positive highlight from customer reviews is that the rooms are "clean, quiet, spacious." This ensures guests have ample room to relax and a pleasant environment for rest.

  • Good Water Pressure & Working Heater: Guests appreciate practical comforts like good water pressure in the shower and a functional heater, contributing to a comfortable experience regardless of the season.

  • Affordable Pricing & Flexible Payment: The hotel offers competitive rates, noted as $75 for a single bed per night, and also explicitly accepts cash payments without requiring complicated deposits. This transparency and flexibility are significant benefits for budget-conscious travelers.

  • Helpful and Accommodating Receptionist: The staff at the front desk, particularly the receptionist, has been praised for being "helpful and accommodating," even allowing a guest to view the room before checking in. This level of service enhances the guest experience.

  • Free On-Site Parking: The availability of free and convenient parking is a major advantage in Nashville, reducing stress and costs associated with vehicle storage.

  • Proximity to Affordable Food & Dollar Store: Being near "some affordable food options and a dollar store" adds practical convenience for guests looking to save money on dining and necessities.

It is crucial to address concerns raised by some guests. One significant issue noted was the absence of a deadbolt and a faulty lock knob, raising concerns about room security despite no incidents occurring. Another review highlighted a "weird stench" in the room, bedding, and towels, making for an uncomfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel charges per person rather than per room (e.g., $125 for a room for two), which could impact the perceived value for multiple occupants. While the rooms are generally quiet, the presence of loiterers in the area was noted, though guests still felt generally safe.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a more independently operated or budget-oriented establishment, the Regency Inn & Suites may not have the extensive, publicly advertised promotions typically seen with large hotel chains. Any special offers are likely to be dynamic and dependent on seasonality, direct booking incentives, or last-minute availability. To inquire about potential promotions or the best available rates, it is recommended to:

  • Call Directly: The most effective way to learn about any current deals or special pricing (especially considering they accept cash and have flexible pricing per person) is to contact the hotel directly using their phone number provided. They may offer unadvertised rates or be able to accommodate specific needs.

  • Check Online Travel Agencies (OTAs): Websites like Expedia, Booking.com, or Kayak may list the Regency Inn & Suites and sometimes feature flash sales or discounted rates, especially for off-peak dates.

  • Consider Off-Peak Travel: Like most hotels, rates tend to be lower during weekdays or outside of major Nashville events and festivals. Booking during these times might naturally result in better pricing.

Given its pricing structure based on the number of people, directly communicating your party size and needs to the hotel is advisable to get the most accurate quote and any available deals.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For residents of Tennessee, particularly those in and around the Nashville area, the Regency Inn & Suites presents a very specific, budget-conscious option that can be suitable for a few distinct local scenarios. While it's not a luxury destination, its core offerings meet particular needs.

Firstly, if you're a local needing a straightforward, affordable place for a quick overnight stay, perhaps after a late-night concert or event in Nashville where driving home isn't feasible, the Regency Inn & Suites offers a cost-effective solution. Its location provides relatively easy access to Nissan Stadium and downtown, and the free on-site parking is a significant bonus that helps keep overall costs down. For those who prioritize a clean, spacious room and good water pressure over extensive amenities like breakfast, it fits the bill.

Secondly, for locals hosting out-of-town guests who are traveling on a strict budget, or who prefer to pay cash and avoid "finnicky deposits," this hotel could be a practical recommendation. It offers a basic, clean, and quiet place for them to stay, allowing them to save money on accommodation and allocate their budget towards experiencing Nashville's attractions and dining. The friendly receptionist can also be a helpful point of contact for your guests.

Finally, for those undergoing home renovations, needing temporary housing due to unforeseen circumstances, or even for a truck driver like the reviewer who needed a quick rest stop, the Regency Inn & Suites provides a no-frills, accessible option. Its flexible payment methods and focus on essential comforts make it viable for short-term, functional stays where basic needs are met without unnecessary expense. While some concerns about room security (lack of deadbolt, faulty lock knob) and occasional odor issues have been raised, for a very budget-conscious local or for guests with specific needs, the Regency Inn & Suites offers a foundational lodging experience in Nashville.

Well, I was traveling from Florida to Wisconsin in my Uhaul, and needed a place to rest for a bit, so I called the first motel I saw within distance. I've never stayed at this particular establishment, and quite honestly, I'll never stay here again. I don't know if it was just this particular location, but the entire room, bedding, and towels all had a weird stench to them. Normally, in any motel/hotel there would be a clean smell, or the smell of bleach at least. But, here was different, and it made it almost impossible to be comfortable enough to sleep. As for showering, I absolutely didn't bother doing so here, after smelling the towels. Never Again.

Wouldn't recommend it for really any reason. Just needed a place to sleep for a few hours and take a hot shower. There was basically no hot water in a very low water pressure shower and there was no shampoo or soap provided for the shower. The neighborhood was also pretty rough with stray cats and a couple abandoned buildings around.

I thought it was great for the price. I knew that it was going to be outdated but it was clean and you were left alone. I slept well the and loved the local food all around. It was close to the convention center where I was working. The lady at the front desk was nice. I loved the privacy and cleanliness of my room

You can really tell that the employees try to keep the place spotless for the most part. The staff was very friendly as well. I only have a few complaints. Like one they have roaches. And two I asked for a non smoking room. I got a room that had cigarette burns in the blanket. You could really tell that blanket had seen plenty of wear and tear. Then upon further inspection because I always check a bed when I check into a place. They had bedbug encasements on the mattress. Then over the top of that there was a mattress cover. It had stains on it. And the noise outside is atrocious. But there's nothing they can do about that.
