My wife and I spent a night in the Willow Suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Firstly, this place is very family friendly so it was fine to bring our five-month old and they even provided a pack-n-play for us! The suite is stocked with books and games, as is the breakfast area. Everything looks a little worn but we found that atmosphere to very charming and comforting. We loved swimming at nearby Queechy Lake (swimming pass is included in every stay, as well as chairs and towels.) We also took several walks on the grounds. Jean, the innkeeper, and her staff are very kind. My wife said this was the best costumer service experience she's had in years (we're from NYC.) Jean made us an excellent breakfast of our choice of eggs and / or blueberry pancakes plus bacon or sausage, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. I noticed she fried up the eggs in coconut oil which I enjoyed. Perhaps the best treat of all was being told we could stay as late as we wanted on check-out day since no one else had booked the suite that night. I think we stayed until 3PM or so to beat out the midday heat in the air conditioning. Fantastic experience. Great memories!

Sep 04, 2018 · Tyler PutnamStayed here in the summer and loved it! Though it's rural, it's actually very close to a lot of activities that our family loved: farms, lakes, hiking, museums. The fireflies were incredible over the field, not to be missed.
Aug 17, 2023 · BGA HoldingBeen here since Friday and leaving Monday. Open floor plan is awesome. Cute functional kitchen. Comfortable seating, two tables to eat at or work from. Lots to do close by but not too far from more built up towns. It didn't bother us but it is on main road and you can hear the traffic pass by so if that bothers you ask for accommodation a little farther back on property. We really enjoyed our stay!
Apr 03, 2022 · DrTacoThis was our first visit to Shaker Meadows, and we only stopped in to break up a drive back from another longer stay. The pricing is very reasonable, and it is located in the heart of the Berkshires close to a lot of attractions. The decor of the room was "dated" but everything worked and very clean. There was ample room for our family of four with a twin bed, pull out twin couch, and an upper level with a queen bed. You could spend some time here with the functional kitchen, and save a little money too by not eating out every meal. Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of choices. Our host Jean was gracious and accommodating, helpful, and knew a lot about the area.
Jul 28, 2017 · Matthew WeideleWe tried to stay in the 1789 farmhouse. It is a money pit and probably owner is not willing to invest in fixes. We left at 10pm and thanks to airbnb did not pay. No water anywhere in house. A/C blew the fuse which is way back in the basement with lots of spider webs but no lights. Charging cell phone in living room also blew a fuse. Needed to open windows to get rid of musty smell on living room furniture (bought from a thrift shop?) But window sills are disgusting. One has dead ivy that grew inside it. Rest are filthy. We lit a scented candle. Did not help because lots of dust on lamp shades door Sills, etc
