We booked a quick in and out mini trip from Long Island. It was so easy to get there, perfect location if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and need to unplug for a bit. We booked one of the larger apartments since we were traveling with 3 kids and our dog. We felt right at home, the design and decor allowed us to cozy up quickly. They put effort into the small details that provide the comfort you’re looking for when being away from home. Tons of games to play with the family, comfortable mattresses, perfect lighting, stocked kitchen. Everything you need to start a fire outside along with s’mores kits. The boys played ball and with a few other things that were provided in the outdoor bins. The kids were also very interested learning about the history of the actual hotel and location, and how the history of it has been preserved while creating something beautiful and cozy for families. There are plenty of activities to get out and enjoy, Hancock Shaker Village and Bash Bish falls were one of the many highlights of our trip. We’ve left and are already looking forward to coming back in October. Thank you, Dillon!

Apr 15, 2025 · Giannina LyonsThis was our second vacation at the Stephentown Hotel. The hotel is tucked in off the road behind the Post Office. As a result, it’s very quiet. No road noise. The room looks just like the website. It was recently remodeled and everything is very new and clean. My 2 favorite things - I can bring my dogs (with prior approval) and the kitchen in our unit is a full kitchen and fully stocked with essentials. The host really does provide the things he says he will. There are plenty of coffee pods, olive oil, s&p, oatmeal, etc. Let’s face it, it’s nice to dine out but it’s also nice to have the option of eating in and saving a buck. There’s a fire pit and gas grill in the back that we took advantage of. The Berkshires is such a beautiful area. You can do as much or as little as you want while there. And the Stephentown Hotel provides the perfect home base! Highly recommend.
Oct 24, 2024 · linda barsamianThe Stephentown Hotel was the perfect place to stay for our bachelor party weekend getaway. When I booked with Dillon, his friendliness and communication made the entire process seamless and easy; and the hotel offered every amenity we could ask for and then some. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable; and the outdoor space was just as welcoming with a fire pit and barbecue grill
Oct 21, 2024 · Doug HerringWe had an amazing time staying at the Stephentown hotel! The place is beautiful and so clean! It's close to jiminey peak and has great restaurants Perfect for families.
Mar 11, 2025 · Elizabeth RyanI was looking to book a room at the Stephentown hotel, I had read the website pretty in-depth. The room stated it had a 4 person occupancy but when I went to check out I noticed you got charged extra to have 4 people. Since I had read the website and didn’t see anything about that I check it again and then emailed in inquiry what the extra person charge was. Had no issue paying it was just trying to understand what it was for. Got a response back stating I clearly did not read the website which was not the case I’m pretty sure not many people noticed the article about a suicide on their website. I forgot to use the magic words in my reply so maybe that is why it was assumed I didn’t read the website, eventually I was given the reasoning which actuating isn’t even written in the tiny section that I missed that did mention the fee. You think it be more obvious like the pet policy is which we don’t have any pets but that was much easier to find than the extra person charge. Anyway after some back and forth I got the answer that anything over 3 inquires extra cost so they have $25 a day fee for those extra cost associated with actually having the 4 people the room says it hold. Which is fine just put that as clearly as your pet policy. On top of that I was asked about who would be staying which is myself, husband and children and asked for the age of the kids. Then I was told I would not be a good fit for the property. It’s unclear and they did not respond when I asked why if we were not a good fit because we ask a clarifying question on the extra fee or if it’s because we had kids. The place says it’s family friendly even has pictures of a little girl who looks younger than my children on the site but it might not actual be family friendly unsure they wouldn’t tell me why. I’d look else where if you have any question or a family based on my experience just trying to know what I was booking before I booked. *Update* Since writing my honest review on the booking process. The owner in addition to responding to this has also emailed me complaining about my review and saying he’s reporting me to google. Still never answer my question on if asking about the fee (which again I was not opposed to paying was just trying to figure out what is was for) or if it was because I had small children. Which at this point does not matter for I will be looking to stay else where but the booking process is a part of a hotel so not sure how an honest opinion about it constitutes threats. I love history and historic places the location of this hotel was perfect for the trip I was planning to spend with my family it has good reviews so I was surprised with how things transpired. I’m glad I did get past booking for this place.
