I deleted my original review that I posted in anger. The rooms were not to great at all. The manager Brad was awesome as far as making it right. I would like to stay there again if remolding actually does happen I will not change the way i felt treated by the 2 older women at front desk especially the concierge. The pool was big and warm but stunk of pee and bacteria. The hot tub was unmonitored and the amount of kids no older than 10 allowed in it without supervision was astonishing. If they did better cleaning it and limiting the people would be a lot better. As far as the room goes there was a lot of cosmetic damage and the rug was torn and I kept tripping which as a disabled vet was rough. The jacuzzi in the room had cold water before you could get a quarter full. Then when we realized the water was cold and turned it off we heard that the drain stopper did not work. I was pretty upset about that. If you want a good experience there talk to Brad while there or ahead of time. Instead of vacation Villa's I feel like it should be called an apart complex, you can tell people stay there in some of the buildings. I am not going to add photos as they assured me after we left they would fix that room.

Vacation Village in the Berkshires Introduce

Vacation Village in the Berkshires, situated at 276 Brodie Mountain Rd, Hancock, MA 01237, USA, is a resort hotel that presents a distinctive lodging experience within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. It caters to guests seeking a more extended stay or a family-oriented vacation, often operating under a timeshare model, which influences its amenities and room configurations. The resort aims to provide a comprehensive and comfortable experience amidst the picturesque landscape of the Berkshire Mountains.

The environment of Vacation Village in the Berkshires is its most significant asset, immersing guests in the natural splendor of the Berkshire region. Located in Hancock, the resort is strategically positioned to offer both tranquility and accessibility to popular attractions. It is notably close to Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, making it an excellent base for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and mountain biking and hiking in the warmer months. The surrounding area is characterized by lush forests, rolling hills, and the serene beauty for which the Berkshires are famous. This natural setting encourages outdoor activities and offers a peaceful escape from urban life. Beyond Jiminy Peak, guests have convenient access to a wealth of cultural institutions, including the Clark Art Institute, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), and Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The resort’s expansive grounds are designed to blend with this natural backdrop, often featuring walking paths and green spaces. However, the multi-building layout, as noted by a reviewer who suggested it feels more like an "apartment complex," indicates a spread-out design, which might appeal to those seeking more privacy and space than a traditional hotel.

The services at Vacation Village in the Berkshires are generally aimed at providing a self-sufficient and comfortable stay, often reflecting its timeshare nature. Customer service experiences can vary, as indicated by one review that praised a manager named Brad for "making it right" after initial issues, but expressed dissatisfaction with other front desk staff. It is important to note that a physical ID is typically required for check-in at most hotels and resorts for security purposes. While specific payment policies should always be confirmed directly with the resort, credit cards are generally preferred, though debit cards may be accepted, and cash deposits are less common for a resort but might be an option depending on the resort's policy. The resort offers various recreational services, including access to indoor and outdoor pools, and a hot tub. However, reviews highlight areas for improvement in pool maintenance, noting issues with cleanliness ("stunk of pee and bacteria") and supervision ("unmonitored" hot tub with too many unsupervised children), which suggests inconsistency in maintaining these amenities to high standards. For longer stays, amenities such as laundry facilities are typically available. The resort also likely offers housekeeping services, though frequency might differ from traditional hotels.

The features of the accommodations at Vacation Village in the Berkshires are designed for extended and family-oriented stays, often resembling apartment-style living. Suites typically feature "full kitchens," equipped with appliances like refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. This is a significant advantage for families or groups looking to save on dining costs. The units are generally spacious, offering separate living areas and bedrooms, which provides ample room to "stretch out." Many units also boast a "Jacuzzi in the room," though one review noted issues with cold water and a non-functioning drain stopper in one such unit. In-room amenities typically include a TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. However, a review also highlighted concerns about "cosmetic damage," "torn rug," and "crusty" fixtures in the bathroom, suggesting that some rooms may be in need of renovation or more consistent maintenance. The observation that "you can tell people stay there in some of the buildings" further supports the idea of long-term residents or timeshare owners, which can influence the overall upkeep and feel of certain units. On-site recreational features include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, and possibly a fitness center and game room. The presence of multiple buildings across the property contributes to the "village" feel implied by its name.

For promotional information, Vacation Village in the Berkshires often targets families and those seeking a resort-style experience with the convenience of apartment-like living. Under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, it serves as an immediate option for travelers already in the Berkshires or planning a retreat to the region. Promotional efforts would likely highlight its spacious suites with full kitchens, ideal for self-catering, and its proximity to major attractions like Jiminy Peak. The availability of multiple pools and hot tubs, despite past maintenance issues, is still a feature often promoted. For new guests, special offers for first-time stays or packages combining accommodation with local activities might be available. As a timeshare property, it might also have specific promotions for discovering ownership opportunities. However, potential guests should be aware that reviews can be mixed, with some highlighting significant room maintenance and cleanliness concerns, particularly in common areas like the pool. The positive resolution offered by a manager named Brad suggests that the resort is responsive to complaints, which can be a form of soft promotion, indicating a commitment to guest satisfaction. Therefore, when considering a stay, it is advisable to check recent reviews and contact the resort directly to inquire about room conditions and specific amenities, especially if planning a longer stay or if particular features are crucial for a comfortable visit. The allure of the Berkshires' natural beauty and the spaciousness of the accommodations remain strong drawing points for Vacation Village.

Does anyone know if you need a physical ID to check in to this resort as my wallet was stolen & I do have a picture of my id on my phone also is a credit card required or may I use a debit card or do a cash deposit. If you could please let me know that’d be great as I’d love to stay at this resort. Thank You, so much…..

Pictures that show amenities on websites are wrong, the fireplaces that should be warming the room and have a sign on them that say caution hot, do not even have get warm, was told they are just for looks. I’ve been staying here for years, sadly this is my last stay. I was informed they were bought out and I can already see the place declining. I’ve booked my future stays at jimney peaks resort, I’ll take the loss in the pool to have accurate descriptions of the rooms

Our third time in the Berkshires and it is really beautiful. The windy twisty mountainous road to get here is definitely an experience the resort has a couple pools, cornhole and several activities every day. It's nicely maintained and the condos are very spacious. We would definitely come back and try skiing here during the winter

Just stayed for 2 nights in building 5. Our stay was wonderful! Easy check in, great amenities and everything in the unit! Kitchen with all the things needed to make it like home! While somewhat isolated, 15 minutes one way gives you Pittsfield and all you are in need of! Spectacular fall foliage views! Forget about a hotel! Stay here for the same rates! Thanks Vacation Village!
