Excellent ski-on ski-off hotel servicing Jiminy Peak. Like real estate, the three most important words are location location location. This place is very well situated to ski Jiminy Peak. If you're not a skier or don't plan on using the mountain facilities, then stay somewhere else. This isn't a hotel you stay at because you need the lap of luxury, it's a hotel you stay at because you want to lay first tracks and have a bed waiting for you after happy hour. Pros: -Family Friendly -Ski-on Ski-off -Access to locker room and locker for your ski stuff. Each room gets a locker -Hot tub and heated pool(when temps above 25 degrees F) -Restaurants on the premises -Excellent lobby with fireplace -Jiminy Peak is an excellent place to ski -Pleasing rustic atmosphere -Parking for the hotel way more convenient than parking as a visiting skier -Fireplace in the lobby excellent hangout for non-skiers -The country store was reasonably priced for 2025. Cons: -Family Friendly, so there's loud children running everywhere -The rooms are a bit ramshackle, odd layouts. Closets for coats are full of sheets for the bed, so where hang coat? -The room numbers make no sense. 637 is on the bottom floor, and 438 is at the top? kaaaay. -No daily housekeeping -The free coffee in the lobby has weird hours I keep missing, so instead I gotta pay $5 in the lodge. That's annoying. Just leave the damn K-cups out.

Country Inn Introduce

For those navigating their options for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a primary focus on skiing and mountain activities in the Berkshire region, the Country Inn at 37 Corey Rd, Hancock, MA 01237, USA, presents itself as an almost unparalleled choice, particularly for visitors to Jiminy Peak. This establishment thrives on its prime "location, location, location," offering direct "ski-on ski-off" access to Jiminy Peak, making it an ideal base for avid skiers and snowboarders looking to maximize their time on the slopes. While not a luxury resort, it provides a practical, comfortable, and highly convenient stay for those prioritizing proximity to mountain facilities and a welcoming atmosphere after a day of outdoor adventure.

The environment of the Country Inn is characterized by a "pleasing rustic atmosphere," creating a cozy and inviting feel that aligns well with its mountain setting. The lobby, in particular, stands out with an "excellent lobby with fireplace," providing a warm and social gathering spot, especially appealing to non-skiers or for unwinding after a cold day. While the hotel is decidedly "family friendly," it's worth noting that this also means there can be "loud children running everywhere," which might impact those seeking a quieter experience. However, for families, this lively atmosphere can be a significant draw. The overall ambiance is one of functionality and convenience, designed to cater to the needs of active individuals and families engaged in mountain recreation. The parking facilities are also a significant advantage, offering "way more convenient" access than general parking for visiting skiers, contributing to a smoother arrival and departure experience.

The services at the Country Inn are geared towards enhancing the ski vacation experience. Foremost among these is the direct "ski-on ski-off" access to Jiminy Peak, which is the hotel's defining service feature. Each room is provided with a "complimentary locker" in a dedicated "locker room" for ski gear, a highly valued service that eliminates the hassle of transporting equipment to and from rooms. The hotel offers access to a "hot tub and heated pool" (operational when temperatures are above 25 degrees F), providing a welcome opportunity for relaxation and muscle recovery after a day on the slopes. While specific dining options are mentioned as "restaurants on the premises," which likely refers to the dining facilities at Jiminy Peak itself given the inn's integration with the resort, this provides convenient access to food. The staff at the Country Inn receive high praise for their service; they are consistently described as "excellent," "friendly and helpful," often turning what might otherwise be a satisfactory stay into a genuinely positive experience. However, there are some inconsistencies mentioned, such as the "weird hours" for the "free coffee in the lobby," which can be annoying for guests who miss it and have to pay for coffee elsewhere. The absence of daily housekeeping is also a factor to consider for longer stays.

The features of the rooms at the Country Inn are practical and designed for the active traveler, though guests should manage expectations regarding luxury or modern aesthetics. Reviewers describe the rooms as "a bit ramshackle" and potentially needing "some updating," with "odd layouts." For instance, closet space might be limited or filled with extra linens, making it inconvenient for coat storage. Room numbering has also been noted as confusing, with seemingly illogical floor assignments. Despite these quirks, rooms are generally found to be "clean and comfortable enough." Essential amenities typically include comfortable beds, though one reviewer noted the mattress "needed to be replaced five years ago." Other standard features would likely include a private bathroom, climate control, and possibly a television. The convenience of being able to "walk to the mountain" and access "the rest of Jiminy Peak" from the inn is a significant feature. The "country store" on the premises is another convenient feature, noted for being "reasonably priced for 2025," offering basic necessities and snacks. While the focus isn't on luxurious in-room amenities, the hotel provides the core elements necessary for a comfortable stay, especially considering its primary function as a convenient ski lodge.

From a promotional perspective, the Country Inn at Jiminy Peak primarily targets skiers and families looking for the utmost convenience to the slopes. Its key selling point is the direct "ski-on ski-off" access, positioning it as the ultimate base for a winter sports vacation. The promotion emphasizes the "family friendly" atmosphere and the practical amenities that cater to active guests, such as the ski lockers, heated pool, and hot tub. The "pleasing rustic atmosphere" and welcoming lobby with a fireplace are also highlighted as features that contribute to a comfortable and memorable stay. While it doesn't aim to compete as a luxury hotel, its value lies in its unbeatable location and the convenience it offers. The inn's reviews, which often mention the "excellent" staff and the positive overall experience despite minor room imperfections, serve as strong word-of-mouth promotion. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with the specific intent of skiing or enjoying Jiminy Peak's mountain facilities, the Country Inn is actively promoted as the logical and most convenient choice. Potential guests are encouraged to contact the hotel directly at (413) 738-5500 or +1 413-738-5500 for reservations and inquiries, particularly for real-time information on snow conditions and specific amenity availability. The Country Inn at Jiminy Peak is a testament to the idea that sometimes, the best place to stay is the one that gets you closest to the action, providing a warm bed and essential comforts right where you need them after a full day on the mountain.

The room definitely needs some updating but we found it clean and comfortable enough. Service is excellent as the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful - that's why I'm giving it four stars instead of three. Easy access to the mountain and the rest of Jiminy Peak all within walking distance. A complimentary locker was provided for our ski gear which was a plus. Our biggest problem was the mattress - it needed to be replaced five years ago, lol.

Love the proximity to the mountain. Kids had a blast but were disappointed the pool was closed. Would def visit again.

We stayed here the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. Furnishing is very out of date and there were unknown stains on the walls, but for the price we paid in this area you can’t much more. We plan on coming back next year and staying here again.
