My husband and I were traveling back home from our vacation and decided to drive part way and stay in WV. This was Memorial Day weekend so prices for hotels were more expensive since it was a holiday weekend. Since we were only staying one night we decided on the Sleep Inn. Breakfast was mediocre at best, but it was only for 1 breakfast. Hotel is run down and in need of repair. The Sleep Inn sign that is supposed to be seen from the highway was laying in the grass. I'm not sure how long it had been there. I could have dealt with all that for one night. However, our biggest concern was the lack of safety and security. The side door entrances were not secure. Most side door entrances require your hotel key card to access. These doors did not require the key card to access so anyone off the street could walk in at any time. We were on the first floor so this was a big concern. I spoke with the front desk associate on duty that Friday evening, and he brushed it off. He stated that we had the deadbolt on our room door. He stated that he had been working there for 2 years, and nothing had ever happened! All I can say is that it only takes one person to cause an issue... We will never stay at that hotel again! Jun 09, 2025 · Cindy RogersTV reception was horrible. A/C worked, but not as it should. Black mold on ceiling in bathroom. Pool not heated, to cold to use. This use to be a nicer place. I wont be back, theres to many other choices nearby.
May 31, 2025 · Bruce newstartAwesome customer service! Beds are super clean soft and right on a mountain with beautiful view. Restaurants are close by! Coffee at the Sleep Inn and Suites is great! Breakfast was good too! Will take my family again soon!!
Feb 13, 2025 · LeAnna HerringOur room was unclean. I drove 3 hours to visit a friend & chose this location to be close. I checked in late Fri evening & noticed a stinch smoke smell. The next morning after opening curtains I noticed floors were very dirty empty water bottles under bed along with a long broken fake fingernail, a piece of chocolate candy, a half eaten cereal bar. I'm not exaggerating this is the truth the trash & dirty was nasty. I went down to the front desk to complain I was told they're having mixed ups on rooms getting cleaned so basically I checked into a dirty room. As I was waiting to speak with the attendant a couple checking in was told their room was dirty Yes you heard me right so they were put into a room they didn't ask for because they specified 2 rooms but they were placed into a double because cleaning was backed up. I will Never stay in a Sleep Inn again. Lisa Smith
Mar 02, 2025 · Lisa SmithI would give 5 stars based on customer service alone. However, the “ski team” (like 15 kids outside our door) are running up and down the halls yelling back and forth to each other at 10:30 at night. Super frustrating and shame on whoever is supervising these kids for not insuring they are respecting everyone else.
