The hotel is also very close to major roadways, including Interstate 95 (I-95/Route 128), offering excellent connectivity to downtown Boston (approximately 15-20 miles away) and other surrounding areas like Lexington and Concord. This accessibility makes it a suitable base for both business trips to the area's numerous corporate parks and for leisure travelers exploring the historical sites of Massachusetts. Guests appreciate the ease of access to a nearby grocery store (such as Wegmans, as mentioned in reviews) for stocking their in-room kitchens. The hotel's outdoor spaces may include a BBQ/picnic area, adding a touch of home and providing opportunities for outdoor relaxation.
Sonesta Simply Suites Boston Burlington focuses on providing essential services and amenities that enhance the extended-stay experience. A key offering is the on-site fitness center, available 24 hours, allowing guests to maintain their workout routines. A significant benefit for long-term guests is the complimentary guest laundry facility, which is often a critical factor for those staying for multiple days or weeks. This allows guests to do their laundry conveniently and without additional cost.
While some reviews indicate no breakfast, the hotel generally offers a grab-and-go breakfast or options for purchase from "The Market" (a 24-hour convenience store on-site), where guests can find snacks, beverages, and quick meal solutions. It is advisable to confirm current breakfast offerings directly with the hotel upon booking, as policies can sometimes change. The hotel provides free wired and wireless internet access throughout the property, ensuring guests can stay connected for work or personal use. Complimentary self-parking is also available, which is a valuable perk in the Boston metropolitan area.
The 24-hour front desk is staffed by multilingual personnel, ready to assist guests with their needs, from check-in to providing local information. However, some guests have mentioned instances where front desk staff might be temporarily absent during off-peak hours, which is a point to consider. The hotel also typically offers basic amenities for purchase if guests forget essentials, such as toothbrushes or toothpaste, although availability may vary, as noted in some reviews. Pet-friendly policies are in place, welcoming furry companions for an additional fee, making it a suitable choice for travelers with pets.
The defining characteristic of Sonesta Simply Suites Boston Burlington is its spacious, apartment-style suites, designed for guests who desire more than a standard hotel room. The hotel typically offers 149 non-smoking rooms, predominantly suites, which include fully equipped kitchens. Each kitchen is generally outfitted with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and a supply of cookware, dishware, and utensils. This allows guests the flexibility and cost savings of preparing their own meals, a significant advantage for extended stays. It's important to note that while kitchens are equipped, some reviews suggest the initial supply of items like soap for the sink or a full set of utensils might be limited, and guests might need to request them from the front desk.
Rooms are typically described as large and comfortable, offering separate living and sleeping areas, which provides a greater sense of space and privacy. Standard in-room amenities include a comfortable bed, a large desk for working, flat-screen televisions with satellite programming, and a telephone with free local calls. Bathrooms are private and include standard fixtures and complimentary toiletries, though some guests have noted a need for minor updates in certain areas or a lack of specific items like sink soap. The hotel emphasizes a clean environment, with housekeeping services provided weekly for extended stays, and additional services often available upon request for a fee. The hotel also has accessible rooms with features to accommodate guests with disabilities, such as mobility-accessible bathrooms and roll-in showers.
Sonesta Simply Suites Boston Burlington is often promoted for its value, emphasizing its spacious suites with full kitchens, pet-friendly policy, and convenient location. The hotel's proximity to the Burlington Mall is a major draw for shoppers, and its strategic placement near major routes and corporate offices makes it ideal for business travelers. Guests can often find special offers for longer stays (e.g., discounted rates for multiple nights) and loyalty programs, such as Sonesta Travel Pass, which can provide additional benefits and savings. The hotel's direct connection to the Sonesta brand ensures a certain standard of quality and service.
However, prospective guests should be aware of some feedback from past visitors. While many reviews praise the friendly night staff, good location, and spacious rooms, some guests have pointed out that the hotel could benefit from a "tiny bit of update," suggesting that some areas may show signs of age or wear. Specific concerns mentioned include the lack of soap for the sink in some rooms, or the absence of forgotten essentials like toothbrushes and toothpaste at the front desk. Crucially, the information regarding breakfast can be inconsistent across different review platforms, with some guests stating there is no breakfast, so it's essential to verify the current breakfast offering directly with the hotel. While the rooms are generally clean, guests may encounter minor maintenance issues. As with any hotel, it is recommended to check the most recent reviews and contact the hotel directly with any specific questions about amenities, room condition, or services to ensure an informed and comfortable stay.

Mar 15, 2025 · Lanna KrikGreat location. Nice rooms. What I needed for a work trip where I am basically just sleeping there. Large desk for working. Had someone stomping around above me but that isn’t the hotel fault.
Dec 07, 2024 · Queenbee JoLet me start off with LA the front desk man, 10 outta 10 promote him or give him a raise or something. I seen the reviews were either good or bad but took the risk of still booking and i don’t regret it at all. I came down from New York to visit family in Burlington, the price was fair and the room was decent and within distance of restaurants, grocery store a bowling alley, etc. which LA helped a lot with that he gave me a detailed sheet of all the places to eat or order food from since they don’t do breakfast with that type of hospitality and kindness it makes up for the no breakfast.
Jan 11, 2025 · genesis perezI’m really on giving 2 stars cause of the location. I booked on Priceline when we arrived for our 4 nights I was informed I needed to pay them another $75 for incidentals and was told it would be refunded after our stay(which still has not been returned). Um okay most hotels just keep a credit card on file not charge you before you even step foot in a room. The room was dated and the carpet was worn and stained. Not once our whole stay did we see maid service. Not to tidy up or bring us fresh towels. The bathroom has zero places to hang a towel or robe and sink space to get ready don't exist you have to put your make up in the sink. Does have a full kitchenette if you’re looking to cook on your trip instead of eat out. There wasn’t a provided coffee machine and none offered in the hotel had to order door dash.
Nov 06, 2024 · Serial KillerMy boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying here from November 19th, 2024- November 20th, 2024. Checking in was an easy and quick process- thank you to Kate, the desk clerk. She went above and beyond to welcome my boyfriend and I and give us information about the hotel. She was so sweet and helpful. I've never met a hotel clerk as wonderful as she was. Before I continue. Let me start out by saying, if you are looking for a hotel with many amenities such as a pool, or breakfast- this is NOT the hotel for you! The name "Simply Suites" speaks for itself. They provide a beautiful suite that is furnished with more essentials than most hotels. However, they do have a nice gym, and also a laundry room. The washer is free, but the dryer is $3 and you have to download an app in order to use it (no quarters). If you don't bring your own detergent, you can buy a box of it from their store for $3. The outside of the hotel made me initially think that the inside would be a little...run down. But as soon as I walked in, I realized I was so wrong. The whole building was extremely clean and well maintained. When I walked into my room, I was surprised at how big it was. There was a whole kitchen in my room with a microwave, stove, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, cabinet space with bowls, plates, and utensils. There was also a long desk that stretched around the room that I liked. The TV hung from the wall and the bed was so comfortable that I would have taken it home if I could have. Whoever designed this hotel deserves 5 stars. The bathroom was also very clean. And there was a closet with a laundry basket, iron, ironing board, and hangers. To be honest, I think out of all the hotels that I have been to, this is my favorite. I will definitely be staying here again!
