Everything was nice! Very budget friendly. The room was very CLEAN! The beds were very comfortable and I felt safe and secure. I felt like I was the first person to stay in this new room. Most definitely will stay here again. The reviews that I read are nothing like my experience. I recommend anyone to stay here you won't be disappointed.
For us Georgians, whether we're traveling for business, visiting family, or simply exploring different corners of our vibrant state, finding a reliable and comfortable place to stay without breaking the bank is always a priority. The "hotel" landscape is vast, and new options are always emerging. Spark by Hilton Augusta, located on Claussen Road, is one such newer addition to the Hilton family of brands, designed to offer a straightforward, budget-friendly experience.
The reviews for Spark by Hilton Augusta present a fascinating dichotomy. On one hand, a highly positive experience described the hotel as "Very budget friendly. The room was very CLEAN! The beds were very comfortable and I felt safe and secure. I felt like I was the first person to stay in this new room. Most definitely will stay here again. The reviews that I read are nothing like my experience. I recommend anyone to stay here you won't be disappointed." This paints a picture of a fresh, clean, and secure environment, hitting all the key notes for a pleasant stay. However, another review offers a stark contrast: "Nope, Nope and Nope. When pulling in to the parking lot the first thing we noticed were the upstanding citizens “lingering” in the parking lot between this location and the long term stay motel next to it. The next thing we noticed were the foot and a half weeds growing all around the building while all other landscaping was dead. Checking in was no issue but once in the room, it was observed that most of the baseboard tiles were loose and propped up against the wall. The next item of question were the dogs constantly barking in the next room over... The final straw was the dogs in the room next to us fighting. We left and drove down the road and stayed at the newly remodeled Sheraton. This previous Sleep Inn should have stayed that, a 1 star motel for $50/night. When the Sheraton is only $4/night more, choose that. We didn’t even bother asking for our money back as it was not worth the trouble." This highlights significant concerns regarding the surrounding environment, property maintenance, and noise levels. This article aims to provide a factual overview of Spark by Hilton Augusta, leveraging available public data and both perspectives of customer experiences, to help our fellow Georgians make an informed decision for their next stay.

Checking in was no issue but once in the room, it was observed that most of the baseboard tiles were loose and propped up against the wall. The next item of question were the dogs constantly barking in the next room over. After returning from dinner, we are pretty sure that the parking lot had become the local meeting spot for the homeless drinking from brown paper bags which made us seriously question leaving our work truck/trailer overnight in the parking lot. The final straw was the dogs in the room next to us fighting. We left and drove down the road and stayed at the newly remodeled Sheraton. Jun 05, 2025 · Jonathan AlexanderI stayed at this location several times, as I am on a work trip with my service dogs, if I wasn’t staying there I was staying with other hiltons. The location is interesting as you can literally watch drug activity and prostitution out of your window. My first interaction with the manager was that she was very rude and outspoken. I was never charged a pet fee that I was aware of. But I also have never had a complaint from any hiltons I have stayed at within the last year. I checked in for 2 days. When I walked in we were greeted by a big dead cockroach on the floor and a dead worm. I was thinking maybe they just sprayed or the hotels next door sprayed and they scattered. Btw my card is on my account/file. The night before I was to check out I went down to the desk and asked him if I could get the room for another night, he said yes, I said do u need me to run my card he said no, your card is already in the system. I then asked for a new shower curtain because the 1 in our room smelled like straight mildew. The next morning we had to go get our work vehicle worked on. I was 3 minutes down the street. A girl called me around 3pm saying that her manager called and said that I need to pay a pet fee. I said why I never have before. She then transferred me to manager I believe her name was Courtney. Courtney gets on the phone and is rude from the get, and as I said I don’t understand she said she had went down to my room and knocked on the door and the dog barked. My husband then said well of course if u knock on the door they will bark, then she said no I knocked on the next door next to u and they barked. At that time the convo got heated and she hung up on us. I then pulled up and walked in. She acted like we were in the ghetto she tried to tell me she had to move a bunch of people down there to new rooms because my dogs were barking from her knocking on the next room over, mind u it’s 3pm and that place was not busy at all. I also asked her if they had a main office she said well yea I said do u have a phone number or card she said nope, I then said ok I’ll google it. She said you still owe me the pet fee, and your card is declining I said how much do I owe you for the deposit she said $278. Something. I then packed my stuff up and left. Went to the bank and put stop on any transactions she tried to do, then called the main office and let them know how she was acting and what she was saying. They stated to me that it sounded far fetched. She then put me on hold to call Courtney to see what was going on then she merged all of us together, and said Danielle said she was charging me for the room for adding that extra room and a pet deposit, I said why didn’t u say that when I were just in my face. I then said so you didn’t tell me you were charging me a pet deposit she then said NO MAM, Now all of a sudden very nice and well spoken while she was being monitored by the main office. But now that I’m thinking about it. They were prolly trying to get in my room to go through my stuff, not knowing I had the dogs because I had stayed there so much I didn’t even say anything during check in. But they were greeted by my dogs and that scared them and yes my dogs prolly did go nuts trying to protect their domain. This is what Hilton hires..thugs , why was she lying straight like that and if ur gonna lie about that what else are u lying about Courtney? Courtney done ruined it for hiltons, can’t imagine how much money they were making the last year off of me. But my money spends everywhere. Hilton obviously needs to get new management in their to clean that place up. But they seem to fit in with the area. I wouldn’t stay there, for the simple fact you can’t leave your things unattended. And Courtney obviously is a liar, and is trying to play some weird game and Hilton is oblivious. And if you to stay there watch your stuff, your credit card. And make sure you take a before and after video of the room. Why I have I not had 1 complaint about my dogs the last year. If you answer this Courtney, I just want to know 1 thing. Why lie?
Jun 12, 2025 · Terra BroadwayRESPONSE TO MANAGER WITH ORIGINAL REVIE BELOW THAT: Thank you for responding. I am saddened for your loss and my deepest sympathies, however, at no point did you actually tell me that, and at no point did I raise my voice or yell at you. I did bring up all of the issues below with you and with the front desk and was told by you that I was lying and unless I had photos it was not true. So it seems 1, you are interested in a back and forth on an open forum, and 2 your commitment to service is to choose to call your customers liars. It's nice that you take so much pride in your job to defend the effort, but this is the wrong way of going about it. REVIEW: Stayed here during Masters week so its understandable that it would be expensive but it was exorbitant for a barely two star motel. I had to pay $1,966.99 per night for a pretty awful experience with a room that had holes in the walls and ceilings, water marks, damage, pillow cases that neither fit the pillow nor seemed like they had been washed or pressed, a terrible attitude from all of the employees at the front desk, and a complete lack of communication from the property even when they sent an automated text asking if there was anything i needed, they refused to respond on four occasions. Additionally as a Gold member the only perk with the property is free bottle of water which was available on Thursday but out of stock on Friday and Saturday night. When I phoned Hilton guest services to complain they told me they would have to call the property and then recommended I phone the manager there, Courtney to discus. Whom I had tried to reach via text during my stay and asked to speak with a number of times before finally reaching her five days later. Courtney was the leas helpful, least compassionate and most crass hotel employee I had ever dealt with. Not only did she tell me that all of my issues/complaints were not valid, but told me that I was lying about them and that I should have taken photos to prove what I was saying and that she really didnt care about the issues since she was just the manager but would bring it up with the owners. There were other issues I experienced that are not even worth mentioning or the continued lack of service or communication from numerous reception employees. I would recommend avoiding this motel at any cost and certainly not praise the staff.
Apr 18, 2025 · Michael GoldsteinRoom was nice enough, but pretty sparce by Hilton standards. Breakfast was quite disappointing, and would have been more appropriately described as a continental breakfast. There was bagels and muffins, but no hot foods like eggs, bacon or sausage. Again, not really up to Hilton standards. I understand Spark is Hilton's attempt to capture a lower price point, but some compromises are too much and may weaken the brand.
