The night clerk called to verify our credit card the day before our arrival. I asked if the room would be ready, and he checked and said it would be available by our arrival time as the manager had called 2 days before our arrival to tell us the room we had booked was out of service and might be unavailable. The night clerk stated we would be the 1st to use this newly remodeled room. We arrived to check in, and the night clerk (a different one) kept telling us that we were the 1st to get to use this newly remodeled room. As I went to move and park our vehicle, the night clerk followed my wife down the hall, telling her to let them know how great the newly remodeled room was. After waiting over 10 minutes to check out as we are a small business and needed a receipt, I finally called the hotel number, and the desk clerk finally showed up to answer the phone. She asked how our stay was, and I told her that if you put 馃拕 lipstick on a pig, you still have a pig. The manager called me shortly after, and after many questions, he finally told me the only thing done was that the flooring was replaced. Tile loose in the bathroom, mold on the caulk in the shower, floor drain very high above floor level so the water out of the roll in shower floods the bath floor (not good for a limited mobility person to step out of the shower into a room full of water. We left the fan on for over 24 hours, and the water still wasn't dry. Hairdryer would not stay in the holder. Almond colored colored wall plates over white receptacles, black line left where old TV was mounted 5 years ago according to the manager, office chair hydraulic ram was nonexistent so when you sit in the chair it drops violently(hazardous for someone recovering from 2 spinal surgeries in the last year) one wheel was locked so unless one wants to go in circles it is useless and dangerous, the LED desk lamp has a low flicker after being turned off all the time(which disturbed my wife who hates light at night by flickering the whole time we were there), and 1 receptacle over the night table had little holding power on the cord plug for my CPAP with dropped power to the CPAP during the night resulting in a terrible night's sleep. It could have also stressed my body by not being able to breathe correctly and breathe so much that it could have caused me to have a heart attack. The breakfast at 7:30 was cold in the warmer, so that is a concern as breakfast started at 6. The eggs were so dry they would not stick to the plastic forks and were almost impossible to eat.

Jun 17, 2025 路 Big Oak -The room was clean and the service was great. Had a nice little breakfast buffet in the morning. Only bad thing was that the ice machine was really loud and woke me up. Other than that it was quite comfortable.
Jun 18, 2025 路 Sean QuinnI recently stayed here for two separate weeks this month for business. So this review is based on the eight nights I was there. The accommodations were spotless, and very comfortable. Additionally, though the property seemed to be at full capacity, I literally did not hear a peep from any of the guests during any of the days or nights I was there. I slept quite well! The morning breakfast was always fully stocked, and never did I find that there was no hot coffee available. That's somewhat important to me! Every staff member I spoke to was very congenial and polite as well. Shouts out, though, for Brannon and Pam. Both of them were so very nice. Brannon (front desk) and I had great conversations about a variety of topics, while Pam (guest services) provided me with whatever I needed, and always did so with a smile. So yes, this establishment earned across-the-board 5 stars in all aspects. Great job, y'all!!!
Feb 21, 2025 路 William BrownTake it from a pro and just don鈥檛 go. I booked a suite through the Choice Hotels app and I cannot recommend this hotel. I travel frequently for work and the company I work for has a corporate rate with Choice. I have been a member since 2005 and I typically spend between 250-300 nights a year in hotels. With all of that being said, this property is not worth the money. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there was something wrong with the suite that I booked so they were offering me a regular room with a king bed. I agreed as long as the rate was changed to the rate offered to me with our corporate discount. The clerk assured me that it was so I agreed. He definitely overcharged me and I know this because I checked the rate once I got back to my car and could look at my phone. I asked the clerk to correct the rate and it was definitely a longer process than it should have been. He made me make another reservation through the app so he could cancel the reservation with the higher rate. This was all very frustrating so I was already annoyed when I got to room. I started unpacking and after a little while I realized there was no mini fridge in the room. I did consider going back to the clerk at the front desk to find out why it wasn鈥檛 in the room but then I realized I was too tired to argue with him anymore. The room was tiny. A bed, a television, and not much else. I was tired from working and traveling all day so I decided to let that pass. I went to bed early and woke up and realized there were coffee pods in the room but no kind of coffee maker. I also realized there was no iron or ironing board for me to use. That was kind of a strike three for me but I had to go to work so I let that all slide. There was also no hair dryer in the room, the remote didn鈥檛 work, and there were very clear handprints on the headboard. The hotel gives a feeling of neglect and a staff who isn鈥檛 at all friendly or concerned with the guests. When I tried taking to the clerk when I checked out, he essentially said that it was my fault for not letting him know when I checked in. I disagree. Amenities that are outlined in the hotel app should be available when that is what you booked and paid for. This property really needs to be updated sooner rather than later.
Apr 18, 2025 路 Cloey WilsonLocation isn't very nice, staff were very friendly. Place looked nice online and upon arrival seemed okay. We stayed one night for a quick overnight trip. Our son commented there was a musty smell when we walked into our room. We left for dinner and came back to roaches in our room. I killed one in the bathroom, and a couple were crawling out from the cracks in the wall near the microwave. These are the small roaches that infest, so pretty disgusting. Probably where the musty smell was coming from as well. We found this place in a hurry, and didn't really have time to read previous reviews, but people 8 months ago were complaining about roaches, and they're still a problem, so obviously not a huge concern for the hotel to take care of this issue. Not a great area, but we didn't feel unsafe. The only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because the staff was nice.
