For us Georgians, whether we’re making a quick stop on a road trip, visiting family, or heading to Augusta for a specific event like the Masters Tournament, finding a place to stay that balances cost with convenience and comfort is always key. West Bank Inn, located on Washington Road in Augusta, aims to offer just that: an accessible, budget-friendly option for travelers.
The experience at West Bank Inn, like many economy motels, can be varied. One guest, looking for a $109-a-night option, noted the "bed was in fact very comfy and we slept great." However, this positive was tempered by significant concerns: "I was disappointed because there were roaches, a dirt bathroom and the room smelt like cigarettes (even though it’s advertised as a non smoking hotel)." Another review brought up serious issues regarding service and the environment: "It's was only one nice younger guy who was there that checked us in. The older man who over breakfast is very rude also for no reason. I booked for two days and paid 183 they lady at the front desk is also rude. I don't think these people like black people or kids." These reviews highlight areas where the hotel may struggle with consistent quality and guest experience. However, other aggregate reviews mention "clean, comfortable and a Great Value" and "Great location, friendly staff, definitely recommended," and many recent (May 2025) reviews praise cleanliness and comfort, suggesting experiences can differ. This article aims to provide a factual overview of West Bank Inn, drawing from public information and these varied customer perspectives, to help our fellow Georgians make an informed choice for their next stay in Augusta.

For us Georgians, the West Bank Inn in Augusta represents a practical and often budget-friendly option for various needs, though with an awareness of potential inconsistencies highlighted by customer feedback. If you're a local planning a last-minute trip to Augusta, needing a place to crash after a long drive, or seeking an extremely cost-effective option during events like the Masters where prices elsewhere skyrocket, West Bank Inn could fit the bill. Its location on Washington Road is genuinely convenient, offering quick access to Augusta National and a plethora of dining and shopping, which is a huge plus for those familiar with the area and looking to maximize their time.

Stayed here while rolling through town, reviews seemed somewhat decent for a $109 a night hotel. The bed was in fact very comfy and we slept great but I was disappoint because there were roaches, a dirt bathroom and the room smelt like cigarettes (even though it’s advertised as a non smoking hotel).

Feb 23, 2025 · Starr LoveeMy brother and I stayed there for four days while visiting friends. Staff was great, the young lady at the front desk accommodated my request as a disabled vet. The room was on the first floor, cleaved everyday,. Cleaning lady was very kind and friendly. Well be staying there again soon. I recommend the place. Thank you guys. Will be asking for the same room number.
Jul 22, 2024 · Javao PerezI have stayed at this location before and had no problems. Tonight a new male staff is refusing to give me a room. He is very rude. Lied and said no more rooms available. Then another person comes to get a room and he gives them a room. So I called back while sitting in the car and asked for rooms.. he said yes. So I said if I come back to the window will you give me a room. He then becomes upset and said I am disturbing him and I’m banging on a window and yelling at him and then hangs up the phone. I don’t know what is wrong with him but this is unacceptable behavior. Really no reason for him to act this way. Very disappointed in this place.
Nov 16, 2024 · Lindsay BlackwellThis small hotel was great. I have been here for 5 days on business. The manager gave me a great rate, the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. They cleaned my room every morning and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. I will stay here again.
