Our recent stay at SpringHill Suites Pigeon Forge was overshadowed by unexpected construction that marred the entire experience. From the moment we arrived on Friday, we encountered equipment, materials, workers, dust, and disruptive noise—not just outside, but permeating the entrance, lobby, breakfast area, elevators, and even our room a few floors up. The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in, but we were disappointed they hadn’t warned us about the construction when we booked. That heads-up could have saved us the frustration. The room itself was clean and adequate but poorly designed. The small, dim living area felt cramped, and the open bathroom sink vanity—right near the bedroom—let light and noise spill in, disturbing my companion’s sleep. A narrow bottleneck between the living and bedroom areas, worsened by awkward furniture placement, made navigation a squeeze. We’d chosen this hotel partly for its EV charging station, but it was out of service. Despite our efforts to troubleshoot, the staff offered no assistance, leaving us to spend extra time and money at a supercharger nearby. By Saturday morning, the construction chaos intensified. Temporary tarps barely separated us from the dust and noise while we ate a lackluster, minimal breakfast. Fed up, we checked out a day early and moved to another hotel, where we finally enjoyed the relaxing stay we’d hoped for. SpringHill Suites might work for some, but between the unannounced construction, impractical room layout, and broken amenities, it fell far short of expectations.

Convenient location. Clean room and common areas. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. They are currently undergoing some renovation, but nothing that affected our stay. Oh and pet friendly, without it smelling pet friendly (iykyk)! Which is a huge plus.

There was a lot of construction happening in this hotel. The pool was planned to be closed for painting during our stay but got postponed, so we got to use it as normally. However, the pool was very green and not heated as much as anticipated. There was an outdoor pool with a slide but the weather was not good enough to use. Rooms were good and breakfast was good!

We stayed here for the Ponies in the Smokies event in TN. Once we checked in we found out the place was under construction. We checked in, and the room layout was really odd looking. The whole place had a funny smell to it. I didn't know why the TV in the room was in a odd place as you couldn't view it from the living area or the bed area really well. Took my kids to the indoor pool and it also had a bad smell to it as the water was green. The next morning construction crews started really early and kept us up all through the AM hours. Beating and banging on the floors and walls. You could hear power tools going constantly. I went and complained to the front desk. The guy said he will have them stop till we check out. Nothing never happened and the loud noises continued. Once we checked out the breakfast couldn't be accessed because of construction and a large amount of people in the area. Once we checked out, the guy at the desk didn't accommodate us for anything other than some extra Marriott reward points. I love Marriott motels, but this location is horrible at the moment. Staff didn't know what they were doing. I always stay Aloft by Marriott as it's my favorite. Never had any problems with Aloft.

The hotel itself is probably normally very nice. But because of all the construction that was going on during our stay, we couldn’t tell. It would have been nice that if Online, they would’ve mentioned that they had a large amount of construction going on. And on the couple of days that we stayed there, it was very hectic and crazy just to go out of the hotel. If they had given you a note at the beginning of your stay stating all of the issues you would see through the construction, perhaps giving you a gift card for a free meal to a restaurant, or something like that, it would have left a better taste in our mouth. But even on the final morning of our stay, at 8 AM they were demolishing the room right above us, and it was almost unbearable. They could have left a note for all the guests staying on that floor what they were doing… anything! Not to mention too, that when we were trying to leave, the construction workers filled both elevators to the point where we had to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes before getting down to the main floor. It was awful. Perhaps when the construction is finished, it will be a much better place to stay. Until then, call before you stay here. DON’T STAY HERE WHILE UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
