RUN from this place if you are reading this review. The absolute worst hotel experience of my entire life. The day time staff was nice and friendly and the room was clean for the price. That’s where the positives of this stay stop. The top latch to our room was broken and swung back on itself, leaving us locked out of the room at 1 AM. We made our way to the lobby to find staff and found the night shift front desk clerk dead to the world on a couch. We made attempts for 20 minutes to wake her up and finally called the police because she was unresponsive. The police show up, finally get her awake and they determine she was just tired. Police leave and we spend the next two hours trying to break back into our room because the front desk clerk doesn’t help or offer a solution; she never came to the room and didn’t call anyone to try and help, telling us she doesn’t know the owners phone number. While we are attempting to get back into our room, a man comes out of the room directly beside us and figures out quickly that our latch is broken and immediately starts breaking things to try and get the door open. His attempts fail and he just goes back to his room. FINALLY, 3 hours after we discovered the door was locked, we finally are able to break the latch enough to get the door open. At this point we are exhausted and so weirded out by everything that has happened, we just want to go to bed. Cue a call from the front desk. During all the madness, my husband left our keys laying on the front desk. She tells us she’s got them, husband says I’m coming to get them. In the 5 minutes it took to get down to the lobby, the front desk clerk has given our keys to a random stranger, told them our room number and sends them up to us. Random stranger doesn’t come to our room with our keys and instead my husband finds her trying to go back to her own room with our keys in her hand. We immediately pack our things and go back down and ask for a refund and leave because we did not feel safe staying anymore. The man in the room beside us comes down to the lobby and watches this whole interaction of asking for a refund, so we know he is involved with the hotel in some way. I feel like we have lived through an episode of the Twilight Zone. I would LOVE for the owner to reach out about this because we were given no way to contact anyone about this experience. Yes, we got a refund but no part of this situation was handled the way it should have been and as a woman, this was down right scary.

Overbooked my rooms and they would not refund my money for the second reservation even after several attempts. The manager could care less about people or the shape of his hotel. The pool and hot tub were disgusting!! The pool was not heated as advertised!! Every employee at this establishment is rude and lazy. If I could rate this hotel with zeros I definitely would!! Run as fast as you can!!

Husband went to the front desk to ask why and we were told the shower needed a "new part". After the Manager/Owner changed it out, still no hot water. When we asked him why the balcony door didn't shut correctly, he acted like we had no idea how to shut a door. He physically had to slam it very hard to get it to shut so I was afraid to open it again as it was clearly broken. When we asked why the tv didn't work, he explained to us it was a smart tv like we were children. But it did not connect to the free internet or my hotspot at all. The front desk told us that the tvs only had cable. I'm still confused on who was right on that one because it didn't show anything on the screen. We also booked a room with 2 queen beds, but was given 2 full size and charged for 2 queens. At this point, it was pretty clear this was not the hotel for us and we couldn't get out fast enough! Side note, the manager/owner did refund us our money for the days we were not planning to stay saying that he never has complaints and has lots of repeat customers. Honestly, I wish I would have read these reviews first. Lesson learned!

Why did I book the superior room with two doubles pool view with separate tub and shower and was giving a basic king room with resort view and very dated tub shower combo. Not to mention the bathroom door won’t latch fully and back of the toilet is leaning. Room 301. The lady I spoke to this morning her name was Tonya she was so sweet and very sorry for the issues in our reservation.

One lamp didn't work at all, one lamp only had one bulb in it and the plugs on the lamps were loose and charger plugs had to be positioned just right. Starting shortly after midnight there was a flowing smell almost like freon going through the room but the AC was still blowing cold. Not to fail to mention there was a roach in the bathtub and even though they offer breakfast from 7am to 9am there was nothing available until after 7:30, poorly cooked sausage, bagels and nothing available to put on them, few scrambled eggs, no fresh fruit, and bread to make toast or sandwiches. From a travel agents perspective this place will go on my do not suggest list. Also, had my son not brought his hairdryer on vacation he wouldn't have had one. There was a hairdryer hanger in the bathroom but no hairdryer. We stayed in a lower rated hotel in Virginia called Lake Inn @ Westlake Corner and had more.
