This was a nightmare for us!!! Literally….. Front desk was nice but helpless, we checked in 10:00 PM requested pillows and blankets for my little kids sleeping on the sofa, apparently the manager was busy in the main building and couldn’t make time to spear us a blanket “only he has the keys of the housekeeping closet” I waited up until almost 1:00 AM hoping to get my little one to sleep but guess what, I’m still waiting…. So I couldn’t spend time at the casino and instead tried keeping my little one asleep, I can just imagine how tomorrow will be with cranky kids from lack of sleep All they have is a front desk (happens to be very polite) there is no night housekeeping nor anyone to help out with as little as a tissue paper This hotel offers absolutely nothing!!! and there is not even an effort to make a good stay, very disappointed and ruined my kids stay away, all this is after horrible experience while booking via phone, rude and nasty representatives Thank you management for running it for us! Will make a different plans next time…. With love a “former” steady blackjack player at RW

The Alder Introduce

For individuals searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Monticello, New York area, The Alder at 750 Resorts World Dr, Monticello, NY 12701, might appear as an option, given its proximity to Resorts World Catskills. The property can be reached at (833) 586-9378 or +1 833-586-9378. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on available public information, including recent guest feedback, to help potential visitors set appropriate expectations.

The environment of The Alder is, by its nature, linked to its association with Resorts World Catskills. It is located on Resorts World Drive, suggesting a setting designed for guests primarily visiting the casino and its amenities. However, unlike a full-service resort, The Alder is consistently described as a more basic or economical extension. The immediate surroundings are likely structured around the larger casino complex, offering convenience for access to gaming and entertainment. Based on customer reviews, the physical rooms themselves are characterized as "small and basic but overall OK." This implies a functional rather than luxurious setting. The overall ambiance might be more geared towards a place to sleep after enjoying the main attractions of the casino, rather than a destination in itself. There is no indication of extensive private grounds, gardens, or unique architectural features that would differentiate it significantly in terms of a standalone tranquil environment. Potential guests should expect a straightforward hotel layout, primarily serving as ancillary lodging for the larger resort ecosystem.

Regarding services, The Alder appears to offer a minimalist approach, which is crucial for potential guests to understand. The primary point of contact is the "front desk," which multiple reviewers describe as "nice" and "very polite." However, a significant concern highlighted by a customer is the apparent lack of readily available staff beyond the front desk, particularly during off-hours. A reviewer noted, "All they have is a front desk... there is no night housekeeping nor anyone to help out with as little as a tissue paper." This indicates a potential limitation in on-demand services, such as requesting additional pillows, blankets, or even basic supplies during late-night hours. This suggests that guests should plan accordingly and not expect the extensive, immediate support typically found in full-service hotels or resorts. There is no mention of on-site dining specifically within The Alder, implying guests would need to utilize dining options available at the main Resorts World Catskills property. Similarly, amenities like pools, fitness centers, or spas are not explicitly mentioned as being part of The Alder's offerings; guests would likely need to access these at the main resort complex, if available to Alder guests. The primary service offered is providing a room for overnight accommodation, with front desk staff available during operational hours.

The features of The Alder, based on available information, also point towards a more basic and utilitarian offering. The guest rooms, as mentioned, are "small and basic." While they are described as "OK" in a general sense, the expectation should be for functional rather than spacious or amenity-rich accommodations. Key features that might be present are standard hotel room necessities such as a bed, a small bathroom (though not explicitly detailed, expected), and perhaps a television. However, the lack of immediate access to items like extra blankets, even for a sofa sleeper, suggests that in-room amenities might be limited or require advance planning. One significant feature highlighted by a negative review is the potential for noise issues from neighboring rooms, with "loud music all night" being a reported problem that security "failed to address." This points to potential challenges with sound insulation or a lack of effective noise management protocols, which is a critical feature for a comfortable stay. Another notable aspect, inferred from the complaints, is the absence of readily available direct support or concierge services within The Alder itself. Guests are essentially housed in a supplementary building with limited internal infrastructure, relying heavily on the main Resorts World Catskills for any substantial needs or services beyond check-in and check-out. The "cool factor" often found in more premium properties seems to be absent here, with the focus solely on providing a place to sleep.

Regarding promotional information, an objective review of The Alder suggests that its primary appeal might be its potential as a more budget-friendly lodging option in close proximity to the Resorts World Catskills casino. As such, any promotional efforts for "Hotels Near Of Me" searchers might focus on value or convenience for casino visitors. However, specific ongoing promotions are not detailed in the provided information. Given the nature of the feedback, it's crucial for prospective guests to manage their expectations regarding price versus amenities. While a hotel might offer attractive rates, it's essential to understand what is included and what services are readily available. There's no mention of packages that bundle dining, entertainment, or resort credits specifically for The Alder guests. Potential guests should directly contact The Alder at (833) 586-9378 or +1 833-586-9378 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any specific policies regarding amenities or services. The strong negative sentiment from reviewers, including phrases like "nightmare," "ruined my kids stay," and "will make a different plans next time," serves as a significant piece of informational feedback. It suggests that while the property might offer proximity to the casino, the overall "effort to make a good stay" and the "level of service" experienced by some customers may be below expectations, even for a seemingly lower-cost option. Therefore, promotional information should be considered alongside these direct customer experiences to form a realistic picture.

In conclusion, for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Monticello, NY, and considering The Alder at 750 Resorts World Dr, it is important to approach this option with managed expectations. While its location near Resorts World Catskills offers convenience for casino patrons, the available information and customer reviews suggest a very basic hotel environment with limited on-site services, potential challenges with amenities availability, and concerns regarding noise management. It appears to be a functional, no-frills lodging choice, best suited for travelers who prioritize proximity to the casino over comprehensive hotel features or extensive customer service, and who are prepared for a minimalist stay experience.

We had a poor experience. The room are small and basic but overall OK. Our neighboring room had loud music all night. We called security around 11:30pm to complain but they failed to address the issue. The music kept going on until 5am at unreasonable levels.

We stayed for one night and had no issues here. The room was clean, quiet, had adequate space and the bathroom & sheets were comfortable. The fire pits outside were a nice touch for the cooler nights during fall. Staff were polite at the front desk, and the value for the room was good. We didn’t try the amenities downstairs, but the seemed adequate too. Recommended!

The rooms were large, clean, and modern with good bathrooms, but even though staying a few days, we never got cleaning service - I guess we should have requested? Overall, the facility is great, and the pool and gym are a short walk away. Also, be careful if staying on floor 2 as the music downstairs can be loud, but it doesn't go very late. Would stay again and just ask for service next time.

Nice, comfortable room. Quiet location with easy access to dining and casino. Excellent value for the price.
