Bethel is practically in the middle of nowhere but a cute little town and a very cute hotel. I did giggle when I went to turn the air conditioning on and the sign said “it’s controlled by the window unit” and there was no window unit. There is a nice restaurant w/ bar attached and fuel stations are not too far away.

My son had his wedding at the Inn, it was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. Management & staff was just great they did all the setting up from putting the centerpieces on the tables to tying bows on the chairs, they all went above and beyond to make the day special. After the wedding was over what people were left went downstairs to the tavern for drinks and looking for appetizers the kitchen was closed and the kitchen staff had gone home , again John the (manager) & bar staff did some cooking for us. It was the best venue we could of asked for. Thank you to you all. Sincerely Bonnie & Rob Reynolds Sr.

Upon entering the "resort", the halls reminded me of a shabby and dated motel. We entered our room, and honestly, if it was clean, I could accept that the place is dated. However, we were greeted with the strong stench of urine. My teenage son said that it smelled like a men's bathroom. First impressions are strong, and being greeted by this awful smell really ruined things for me. We called guest services 5 seconds after entering the room, and while they did send someone immediately, the smell didn't dissipate entirely. The sink and shower also drained VERY slowly (5 minutes for it to drain). I can't reommend this place to anyone and I will not be staying here again. The photos on the website are so deceiving and make this place look a lot nicer than it really is. It's too bad, because it's a very convenient location to several ski mountains.

Rooms are clean albeit a little outdated, but for a ski area stay it is absolutely perfect! The food and vibes at the Tavern are great, service is excellent, and amenities are quite nice. It is walking distance to a nice little cluster of restaurants/pub/shops/museum. We would definitely stay here again!

This is an absolutely beautiful inn. The day we went, it had snowed, and it was like walking into a winter wonderland. The historical architecture is absolutely stunning, and the interior designs and furniture are exceptionally tasteful and gorgeous. They had a beautiful baby grand piano with an excellent piano player, who was playing lovely and relaxing classical pieces. The atmosphere was just so congenial and relaxing. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but considering the experience and the quality of the food and service, it's worth it. Probably the nicest inn and restaurant within 100 miles of Dixfield. Maybe even further. If you want to go to a high class restaurant and inn, there is just no equal around. Truly exceptional.
