May 20, 2025 · Joseph HasenkopfWOW this place is magical - it is the definition of your idyllic Maine experience. The restaurant has incredible food, Harry's Bar has great drinks, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. The fitness center is small but mighty - it has everything you need to get a workout in. The room was clean and comfortable. Our favorite part was taking a boat cruise during sunset. Close to Acadia National Park so plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. Highly recommend The Claremont if you are visiting the Bar Harbor area!
Oct 16, 2024 · Harry & LyssWe were very excited for our stay but we were disappointed. First, it is quite expensive. We usually stay in 5 star resorts. This did not meet our expectations Do NOT stay in Room 201. You hear music from downstairs all night and the room above must have floors because you hear everything! We had several bags of luggage and no one offered to assist us in bringing up our bags. Little fern was delicious but very loud. We enjoyed the croquet court and the fire pit. I would have expected more when there is a daily rate over 1300
Sep 14, 2024 · Lora C.Grounds are stunning but our experience with the staff and room itself left a lot to be desired for the cost of the hotel. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a huge divot in the middle and would randomly shake for extended periods of time. We alerted the staff and they only offered to flip the mattress and sort of shrugged their shoulders. We even had a waiter charge us $5 extra per drink for olive juice in a martini. Maybe it was end of season but I've never felt like staff just resented you being there.
Sep 10, 2024 · Chelsey BlackmonWe stayed at the Claremont for two nights during our most recent trip to Maine. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the kind front desk staff who happily gave us a tour of the facilities and showed us to our room. They even offered to help us carry our luggage up. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful with stunning views and amenities. The pool is great. Harry’s Bar and Little Fern were both wonderful and a great place to spend some time. Additionally, if you are looking for somewhere to stay that isn’t too far from Acadia and Bar Harbor that isn’t too touristy, this place is perfect. I can’t say good enough about this special place.
