There is tremendous attention to detail in how the hotel is decorated and operated. Highly recommend this place.

Feb 23, 2025 · Vahan JanjigianWe had an event to attend in Brunswick that was close to this hotel, so we decided to try it. When I made the reservations, I must have called three different occasions to make changes and every time the staff at the hotel were very accommodating and responsive. We arrived late and Ryan helped us check in and made it smooth. The hotel is very well appointed and has these different sitting areas on the first and second floor, and we enjoyed just sitting there. The rooms were nice and very clean. The desk and chair were comfortable, and we used them a lot for a little work. Internet service was sufficient. I thought the bed was nice, but my wife thought it is hard, so the hotel gave her a couple of comforters to place under the sheet. Leah with housekeeping was excellent, we don’t get our room cleaned during our stay but ask for things like towels and tissues. Leah was not just accommodating and helpful, but easy to talk to and ask for information even about the area. My wife enjoyed talking to her on many occasions. Liz at the front desk was nice and helped review and confirm that we got the best rates, but also helped us with more suggestions for things around. Taylor at the front desk was amazing, she is so sweet and professional, she helped us out on so many different occasions. My wife loved talking to her and getting to know her a little. The location of this hotel is great. Less than five minutes’ walk to Maine Street that has everything; restaurant, a great organic market, a lot of boutiques, and stores.
Sep 22, 2024 · John MukharStayed just one night while in area to visit family. Room/bathroom clean and comfortable. Would prefer a coffee pot in the room instead of going down the hall but no big deal. Only complaint we have is we had left a few times to go out in the evening, and there were no lights whatsoever in parking lot. Would not have liked that had I been traveling alone. Light post were there but not one light on to light up parking area. Sidewalk leading from parking lot to back entrance in corner of building had no lighting just near entry way itself.
Nov 08, 2024 · M LewisI recently had the pleasure of staying at The Federal Hotel in Maine, and it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in the heart of the city, this charming hotel offers a perfect blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. From the warm and friendly staff to the beautifully furnished, spacious rooms, everything about my stay was delightful. The attention to detail in the decor added to the overall ambiance, making me feel like I had stepped back in time while still enjoying modern amenities. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a highlight, with exquisite food made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The service was impeccable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area, with Portland just a short drive away. Overall, my experience at The Federal Hotel was exceptional.
Jul 02, 2024 · Raffi FestekjianOur room was great, and the hotel is in a great location. But the real reason I'm writing this review is because of the service. The heat in our original room was not working, and the staff did not hesitate to not only move us to a new room, but they also upgraded us to a bigger suite. We'll definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
