A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The staff was kind, thoughtful, and patient with my 2 two small children. We live just down the road and drive by often. My 5 year old son has been asking to "sleep over at the pink house." Part of his birthday present was sleeping over at the pink house! We spent the evening on the beach (just a block away from the hotel), digging in the sand and enjoying our beautiful home town. When we woke up, we watched the sunrise over the ocean from our room. It was a perfect birthday for my sweet boy. Thank you very much!

The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant Introduce

For those seeking a blend of historic charm, coastal proximity, and a welcoming atmosphere in the Bay Head, New Jersey area, The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant stands as a notable option. Located at 345 Main Ave #4735, Bay Head, NJ 08742, USA, this establishment is a compelling choice for individuals and families searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" along the beautiful Jersey Shore. This introduction aims to provide an objective and detailed overview of the hotel, encompassing its environment, services, features, and any available promotional insights, drawing upon its described attributes and genuine customer feedback.

The environment of The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant is a significant part of its appeal. Described by a customer as a "beautiful hotel in a perfect location," it immediately conveys a sense of aesthetic pleasure and convenience. The mention of its distinctive "pink house" appearance suggests a charming, perhaps historic, architectural style that stands out within the Bay Head landscape. Being situated on Main Avenue, it likely benefits from a central yet serene position within the town. Crucially, its location is highlighted as being "just a block away from the beach," making it exceptionally convenient for guests who wish to enjoy the ocean. This proximity allows for easy access to beach activities, sunrises over the ocean, and the tranquil sounds of the waves. The overall environment, as suggested by guest experiences, fosters a peaceful and enjoyable stay, ideal for a relaxing coastal getaway. The fact that local residents choose to "sleep over at the pink house" for special occasions underscores its appeal as a local landmark and a place of comfort and joy.

In terms of services, The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant offers both accommodation and dining, as indicated by its name. A key service highlighted by a customer is the exemplary staff, described as "kind, thoughtful, and patient with my 2 two small children." This speaks volumes about the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction and its family-friendly approach, making it a welcoming environment for visitors of all ages. Such personalized and attentive service significantly enhances the overall guest experience. Beyond the gracious hospitality, the hotel provides lodging services, with rooms that allow for viewing the "sunrise over the ocean," indicating certain rooms offer scenic views, a desirable feature for many guests. The presence of a restaurant implies breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, potentially catering to both hotel guests and the general public. While specific amenities like a pool, fitness center, or extensive business services are not detailed in the provided information, the focus appears to be on a comfortable stay and a positive dining experience. For more specific service inquiries, guests can contact the hotel directly at (732) 892-3100 or +1 732-892-3100.

The features of The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant are multifaceted. Its primary feature is undoubtedly its "perfect location," offering exceptional proximity to the beach, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the coastal experience. The physical beauty of the hotel, colloquially known as the "pink house," contributes significantly to its charm and recognition. The rooms, at least those with ocean views, offer a unique and memorable experience of waking up to the sunrise over the Atlantic. The family-friendly nature, as evidenced by the positive interaction with children, is another strong feature, making it suitable for family vacations. The hotel's restaurant is a central feature, providing dining options for guests. However, it's essential to present an objective view, and customer feedback on the restaurant is mixed. While past Thanksgiving meals were described as "satisfactory," a recent Easter brunch experience received strong criticism. A customer found the food "basic - at best," with flavors that were "bland or non-existent," and felt the dining room was "overstuffed with tables," making navigation difficult. The price of $60 per person for a "BYOB" brunch with basic food and no complimentary beverages like mimosas or Bloody Marys was also a significant point of dissatisfaction, leading the customer to recommend diners or cafes instead. This particular feedback highlights a potential area for improvement within the restaurant service and pricing strategy, suggesting that while the hotel itself might be charming, the dining experience might not consistently meet expectations, especially for special events. Therefore, while the restaurant is a feature, guests should manage their expectations regarding its culinary offerings, particularly for special brunches, and perhaps consider exploring local dining options in Bay Head as well.

Regarding promotional information, no explicit marketing campaigns or special offers were provided. However, the strong positive customer testimonial about a child's birthday stay, highlighting the "perfect location" and "kind, thoughtful, and patient staff," acts as powerful organic promotion. This type of personal endorsement speaks volumes about the hotel's ability to create memorable experiences, particularly for families. For those searching on a "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the Grenville's distinct charm, historic appeal, and immediate proximity to the beach in Bay Head are key selling points. The hotel's very appearance, as "the pink house," also serves as a form of natural branding, making it easily recognizable and perhaps intriguing to potential guests. While the restaurant aspect has received mixed reviews for a specific event, the overall welcoming atmosphere and excellent staff are likely to be central to any general promotional efforts. Guests interested in specific packages, seasonal rates, or special event dining should inquire directly with the hotel. Its location in Bay Head, a picturesque and generally upscale shore town, also lends itself to attracting guests seeking a quieter, more refined beach experience compared to some of the larger, more bustling resort towns along the coast.

In conclusion, The Grenville Hotel & Restaurant in Bay Head, NJ, offers a unique and appealing option for travelers seeking a charming and conveniently located stay along the New Jersey coast. Its "beautiful" and historic appearance, combined with its direct proximity "just a block away from the beach," makes it an excellent choice for a serene getaway. The staff's exceptional kindness and attentiveness, particularly towards families, are a significant strength. While the hotel provides a restaurant, prospective guests should consider the mixed feedback regarding its dining quality and pricing, especially for special events, and perhaps view it as one of several dining options in the area. For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Bay Head, The Grenville offers a memorable and picturesque stay, particularly for those who appreciate historic character and immediate access to the ocean. Guests are encouraged to contact the hotel directly at (732) 892-3100 or +1 732-892-3100 for any specific inquiries or to confirm current offerings.

We had been to the Grenville twice before for Thanksgiving. Those meals were satisfactory. We decided to go to Easter brunch. The price wasn't advertised, but we figured it should be reasonable, especially since it's BYOB. It is our fault for not asking the price beforehand. We can't even say the meal was satisfactory. Food was basic - at best. Flavor was either bland or non-existent. The dining room is overstuffed with tables. It's hard to get to and from the buffet. Then the bill came. $60 per person. Again - no mimosas, bloody Marys, etc. $60 for bland food, an iced tea and a coffee. Go to a diner or cafe. Save money and get good food.

We had a family room, which was convenient because of the detached room for children. Our daughter's travel crib fit in the extra room between the twin beds. The room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, making traveling with an infant as easy as it could be. The hotel is also close enough to walk to the local beach. We are from out of state, but we plan to stay again.

I attended a bridal shower here. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. It was a nice and smooth event, and it seemed like the bride had a great time. Very cute and pink! I would definitely recommend checking this place out. I'd like to come back in the warm weather and try the restaurant and maybe even stay here! Street parking, so give yourself plenty of time to park and walk there.

We attended the Valentine Day dinner night. The place itself was nice and had a live singer which was fun for the evening. However, that’s about the last nice thing to say about it. It was a special dinner menu for the night with only select options. Our waiter was not familiar with the options on the menu and told me “no can’t do that” when I chose what was on the menu. The staff, outside of hostess, looked sloppy and disheveled, not a great look. The salad was ok at best and served on a bread plate. We waited 30 minutes for our jumbo shrimp cocktail which was warm, not jumbo at all, and served with ketchup. We then waited another 45 minutes for our meal. Not one wait staff came to our table, refilled our water or even checked on us the entire time until we called the hostess over to explain we had been there an hour-and-half with no meal yet. She was pleasant, apologized, offered a gift certificate and told us our meal would be right out. Almost wish we had just left because my meal was awful. I ordered the seafood meal over linguine. It came in a soup bowl. The boiled water from the pasta served as the broth (disgusting). ZERO flavor, no salt, no garlic, nothing, just pasta water. My husbands NY strip was ok, mashed potatoes were grey which the waiter insisted were fresh (no way!) After 2 hours just wanted to leave. The hostess comped the meal because no one should have to suffer through that food experience and pay for it. They gave us freezer burned, store bought, key lime pie to go which tasted like sandpaper it was so freezer burned, garbage. All in all, horrible experience. Will not be returning ever. They need new wait staff, new kitchen staff and new chefs. Would give it 0 stars but one of the hostess in sequins seemed to really try (the other one should not host anything with her attitude). Disappointed is an understatement, food was horrible. Don’t waste your time.
