The location of this hotel is perfect for those traveling to Fulton Market and feels safe and central to everything. For those just coming to hang and drink, definitely a cool vibe and bar area. For those actually wanting to sleep there, meh. The room has some cool decor, unfortunately, the beds are like wood planks, though the pillows are comfy (thank god). Also, at least in my case, a "king" bed is just two twins pushed together and you will fall in the crack in the middle because the beds are super hard with no mattress topper so it can't even try to pass as an actual king bed. Service is upon request only, which is kinda annoying. All in all, stay for drinks not for sleeps 😏

Aug 01, 2025 · Malori DiPierroI’m not sure why people posted such bad reviews of this hotel. The hotel was amazing. One of the best I’ve ever stayed at ! So many cool bars and restaurants that many locals love. I upgraded to above the standard room and had a corner room which was lovely and spacious. Yes there are train noises but generally it’s lovely. I have no complaints about this hotel and will definitely be back.
May 14, 2025 · Lucy SchottHotel had good energy. Friendly helpful staff. The bar and restaurant was great and seemed to be a local favorite. The speak easy was hoping. The rooftop bar and restaurant was amazing. The rooms were slightly on the small side but were clean and a comfortable bed. Location was close to lots of bars and restaurants.
Jun 01, 2025 · Dismas SmithFor a 4 star hotel, I was let down. No robes. No mini bar/water. Nothing. No toiletries. No bathtub. Stingy on all things. Bed was fine. Shower and bathroom is nice but small. Overall super clean. Just missing that *luxury feel. Great location.
Jun 21, 2025 · T GStaying at The Hoxton feels like being an uninvited guest at your own reservation. The hotel is so obsessed with catering to its non-hotel crowd — the see-and-be-seen, day-drinking, laptop-loitering, influencer-lite scene — that actual paying guests are treated like background noise. It’s not just that service is bad; it’s that the hotel seems to actively resent anyone who’s there to actually stay. Staff are cold, disinterested, and clearly more focused on maintaining their too-cool-to-care vibe than providing even basic hospitality. Ask a question or need anything beyond a cocktail menu, and you’ll get met with a blank stare or a sigh. The energy of the whole place is built around people who aren’t sleeping there — and it shows. The lobbies and common spaces are packed, loud, and chaotic, making it nearly impossible to enjoy any kind of hotel comfort. It’s boutique in name only. In practice, it’s a bar with beds upstairs — and a staff that would rather you weren’t in them.
