The Robey

The Robey is special! The architecture, the history, the view, the finer details….it does not get better than this! My husband and I got married in August and we chose to book our wedding block at The Robey. With the help of the wonderful Ellie, we were also able to book our rehearsal dinner + welcome party, and post-wedding brunch in The Hall. Ellie was quick to respond and a great communicator throughout the planning process. She was very helpful with space planning, food & beverage decisions and more. The Robey is so perfectly situated in Wicker Park that it’s a great place to stay with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants, easy access to the Blue Line, and the unobstructed view of the skyline is incredible! As you can see from the photographs, the lighting is spectacular because of all the windows. We booked the panorama suite + adjacent king room for the bridal party to get ready in. It was plenty of space and great natural light for hair and makeup. The rooms are very simple and elegant which provided a great backdrop for photos. Everything was especially clean and we loved all the all the Le Labo products in the bathrooms. Room service was A+ and all the hotel staff we interacted with were wonderful. You really cannot ask for a better way to start Wedding Day than watching the sunrise over the Chicago skyline 🤍

We held our ceremony in The Hall and our reception in The Up Room and both spaces were stunning, distinctive, and just perfect. The Robey also provided all of the food and beverage for our wedding, and everything was absolutely delicious. From the passed hors d’oeuvres to the main courses, every dish was perfectly executed and we were especially thankful for the fantastic cocktail list, which our guests loved. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend seamless and memorable. Ellie, in particular, was incredible—her organization, responsiveness, and genuine care made all the difference. But truly, every staff member we encountered was exceptional. They coordinated every logistical detail with such professionalism and warmth, ensuring everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. They were incredibly responsive and easy to reach in the months leading up to the wedding. We also had many friends and family stay at The Robey, and they absolutely loved their experience, raving about the beautiful rooms, the hospitality, and the vibrant atmosphere. The Robey offered the perfect mix of style, comfort, and personalized service, and played such an important role in making our celebration unforgettable. I can’t recommend them highly enough for anyone planning an event or looking for an exceptional stay in Chicago.

I had one night booked at The Robey. Unfortunately my flight was canceled and I was unable to show up for my reservation. I contacted the front desk and they simply transferred me to a “reservation specialist” that never picks up the phone or returns messages. Later I received an email that I could not change the reservation to another night and that they would do nothing to accommodate my flight cancellation. I understand there are policies but at least have the decency and level of service that a $500 hotel room should come with - someone should answer the phone and speak to me. Pathetic customer service. I frequent this area of Chicago often and will never consider booking this hotel again.

One of the best experiences I have had staying in a hotel. The staff were absolutely great - everyone is kind and says "hi". Great food options on site. Room was clean, smelled great, and updated. Will be coming back and staying here whenever I am in Chicago.

We have had a wonderful trip and mostly in part due to The Robey. They have taken care of our every need, sometimes before we even asked or didn't realize we needed. The. Views are phenomenal. Will definitely will be staying again and recommending to all we know
