Wow—what an incredible hotel experience! The Marlton Hotel truly stands out as one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of The Village, arguably the most beautiful and authentic part of New York City. The area had everything we needed, without the hassle of street vendors or aggressive tourist traps. It felt like a true local experience. While the subway was conveniently close, we rarely used it since everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. That said, having easy subway access made travel to and from the airport effortless. The service was outstanding, with warm and professional staff who made sure we felt welcome. The hotel restaurant served delicious food, and the cozy lobby with a fireplace was the perfect place to unwind. Even though many locals wanted to grab a spot there, hotel guests were always prioritized, which made us feel truly valued. Our room was beautifully designed, with stylish details, comfortable beds, and a clean bathroom. The entire hotel had an incredible atmosphere—it felt like an authentic NYC experience just being there. With plenty of locals around, it didn’t feel like a typical tourist-heavy hotel, which we absolutely loved.

It's so beautiful but it is also very tight. You can not be big people and stay here comfortably. This was my second stay and I preferred the room I stayed in the first time best. Having said all that I'm in love with the decor and vibe. So European and lovely. Breakfast is so good but make sure you order from the "free" section. I didn't realize i was not and ended up paying 30$ more each day🤨

What a wonderful stay. The rooms are smaller, but it keeps with the hotel’s history, and honestly, if you’re in your room in NYC, you’re doing it wrong. Beds were comfy, charm is abundant and everything was spotless. Staff is great, esp. housekeeping. So. Much. Charm. And the location is 1000 on a scale of 10. Can’t wait to go back!

We wanted a hotel next to NYU where our grandson is a freshman. It was an easy walk to his dorm and his concert halls. We enjoyed the breakfasts and ate both one dinner, one desert night and one lunch. All the meals were very good. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but ours was very quiet.

I was there with friends to celebrate the 2025 Match Day for a few medical students. We tried to make reservations for the restaurant and they kindly called us back to inform us that the restaurant is closed for renovations. We are going explained our plan and we were told that we could be accommodated with no problem. As soon as we arrived it was evident that we were seated in an extremely small area at a table for 4. A few were having lunch and the rest in our party were seated as close to the table as possible. There was a gentleman that worked for the hotel in the capacity of "host" was exceptionally rude to us. He told us that we could not be seated as we were and that we were keeping other people from sitting. We pulled a few chairs so that everyone in our group could be accommodated. This person told a late member of our party she could not sit with us. She sat at a grouping next to us. He did not like that at all but "allowed" it. This did not hinder other individuals from sitting in groupings from where we had pulled chairs. Remember, we had been told we could be accommodated. I've not even mentioned the dining service. It was not what I would expect from a New York establishment. It took entirely too long for our beverages to arrive. I ordered a hot cocoa that was passably warm. A few members of the party ordered soup. One of the orders was incorrect and the aforementioned "gentleman" told us that the order was correct. We were wrong. The audacity of the person was unacceptable. He argued with us. The server corrected the order with no arguments. Utensils were not brought out with the order and they had to wait. It was difficult to get anyone's attention. The servers had tunnel vision and therefore it was difficult to get their attention. This might have just been one bad experience, but as a frequent visitor to New York it was not an experience or establishment I would recommend to anyone.
