W New York – Union Square

So I just want to say that this was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. The staff is absolutely amazing and so kind. The hotel room and hotel in general was beautiful and super clean. It was my birthday and they put 23 balloons in my room with a card, and glasses for the champagne. Overall the stay was amazing even though it was only one night. I would recommend to anyone !!! Jose and Nelson were 10/10 great hospitality the second me and my girlfriends got there, they made us feel so comfortable and welcomed.

One of the worst hotel nights unfortunately. Booked it to sleep well for the quiet and for late checkout at 2pm. I got neither. I was coming from PST so went to bed at 3am. Their fire alarm went off at 4am and kept going off for testing every hour in the night, and was still going off at 1:30pm when I left. I got less than 1 hr of sleep that night. I paid ~$1k for that night. In the frenzy, it seems the staff forgot who was late checkout and a man barged into my room unannounced and demanded I had to leave even though I had late checkout. I was undressed in bed.

We had a fantastic stay at the W Hotel in Union Square. From the moment we arrived, the doorman greeted us warmly, and the front desk staff was both kind and efficient. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was very accommodating, and the room updates were impressive!

Have stayed here several times. Rooms are spacious by NY standards, the gym is phenomenal, and the service/location is great as well. Only downside so far is no f&b service yet, but i understand that is on its way.

We booked 4 rooms for our daughters new years eve wedding and were told at booking renovations would be complete by the end of the year. My daughter decided to make it the "Preferred Hotel" for family and guests of the wedding. The food service/bar renovations were not complete so we had no access to food or drinks. The hotel did offer a cup of coffee and 1 pastry per person each morning...very disappointing! The rooms had very poor lighting and only a small closet and a couple drawers for all our clothes. We ended up living out of our suitcases on the floor! Not what we would expect for this level of hotel. Our toilet stopped working so we had to call maintenence one morning and then the bar frig/mini bar stopped working and leaked all over the floor. I had to call twice to get that replaced. I was very disappointed in overall accommodations, lack of food service and quality of hotel. I would not recommend the W New York -Union Square.
