My wife and I recently got married at Restoration, which entailed renting multiple hotel rooms as well as the hotel's top-floor event space (and engaging extensively with hotel staff on a whole host of issues). Our overall experience was excellent. A few aspects of Restoration that stand out: - The location could not be more central. It's incredibly easy to walk anywhere downtown. - The views from the top floor bar/event space are stunning. Having visited many venues in Asheville, Restoration's event space was the only one that made us feel like we were in the mountains as well as in a city. It's a big reason we chose the hotel for our wedding. - The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. We and our guests slept soundly. - Staff were kind, flexible, and proactive. We had a number of minor and moderate snafus leading up to and during our wedding, and team Restoration team handled all of them professionally (and remarkably generously). - The food at our wedding was better than we expected. The trout and chicken were especially delicious. To be clear: Restoration is not a cheap place to stay or hold an event, at least by Asheville standards. But my now-wife and I felt like it was well worth the money. We're very glad we got married there.

Mar 20, 2025 · Gaby GoThe Restoration Hotel in Asheville is a standout—a beautifully designed space that feels both fresh and inviting. Though it’s only two years old, it’s already delivering an exceptional experience. The rooms and public spaces are thoughtfully curated, offering a modern yet cozy atmosphere. One of the highlights is the 5 o’clock happy hour, where they serve wine alongside a generous charcuterie board—an excellent touch that adds to the hotel’s warm hospitality. The staff are genuinely welcoming and attentive, making the stay even better. While the gym is compact, it’s well-equipped and fresh, featuring two Peloton bikes for a quality workout. Whether you’re here for relaxation or exploration, The Restoration is an outstanding place to stay in Asheville. Highly recommend!
May 23, 2025 · Robert RiordanPurchased a room with a terrace; however, the hotel claimed to be sold out once I checked in. The Restoration Hotel website had terrace rooms available to book for the same night, also, several terrace rooms were situated a floor below me, all appeared unoccupied. They offered nothing to help offset the discrepancy. I checked out hours after checking in, since there was no accommodation. The hotel is a glorified Motel 6 at best.
May 18, 2025 · Jessica LongSecond stay. Won’t be back. You should be informed if there is a late night wedding, especially after requesting a quiet room and being placed on the fifth floor, directly underneath the sixth floor wedding. The anxiety that I felt feeling like the ceiling was literally going to cave in!!! Our room was SHAKING from the jumping and dancing above us. We called and requested a room change but were told they were fully booked. To pay full price and not get to even experience the rooftop, due to a private event, but then not have a moment of peace or rest is unacceptable. Let people know when something is going on that is going to affect their stay or at least offer a discount!!!!
