This place is super cute, very unique. The interior lobby has beautiful decor and these pictures I took is the rear of the hotel that has a beautiful potting shed, gorgeous grounds and these other ‘sheds’ where you can eat dinner and they have special nights of outdoor dinners and gatherings. I did not stay there this time, I just went to enjoy the grounds and relax. Will stay there for sure. Beautiful place!!

We accidentally found this place after driving 3 hours to our hotel reservation for there to be no power .... it was find something else or go home. I called Settlers Inn and she was absolutely wonderful and so nice on the phone. Immediately got us in and the drive was only a few more minutes.... Upon our arrival, there was a handwritten card and some welcome cookies in our room. I specifically requested a jetted tub, and they did not fail on the delivery. The rooms are so cute and large! They had a vaulted ceiling and fireplace. We did a small wine tasting for free, and even had two complimentary glasses of wine. The menus for dinner and breakfast were quite sophisticated, but yummy! We didn't get to wander around the area at all- no time and it was freezing, but this is the cutest little place if you're ever in need of a getaway! They have everything you need right on site! Thanks so much for the hospitality. Our stay turned out lovely, even after the ruckus with the first disappointing hotel. Thanks again!

We stopped in the Settlers Inn for a bite to eat and sat at the bar in the Tavern. The bartender was absolutely wonderful, very attentive. My reason for 4 stars is the ham and butter sandwich is not a ham and butter sandwich. Typically, the sandwich would be cold with a layer of cold butter, ham and arugula. This sandwich was grilled and served hot, and was very greasy. We didn't say anything to the bartender because it's not her fault, but please update the menu to say it is a hot sandwich.

Had dinner there the other night and was very disappointed. The decor was pretty but we did not feel welcome. Our reservation was for 7:00 and we got there at 6:30 so we could have a drink at the bar. I told the bar tender we had a reservation for dinner but we wanted to have a drink first, all he said was do what you want. There weren’t any other tables seated so we left the bar and finally found the hostess and asked if we could be seated, she said sure and asked if she could take our coats, which was nice, but it was so cold we kept them on (which should have been a red flag but I ignored that). Another red flag was when I asked what wine would he recommend with the prime rib, the waiter just said ‘I’m not a wine guy”. There were only 4 entries to choose from.. I got the prime rib, ordered it medium rare and it was more on the well done side. The waiter never came over to ask how everything was or if we needed anything. The vegetables were tasteless sweet potatoes and were cold. I will say the cup of mushroom soup was good. Needless to say we did not stay for dessert. Spending $500 on a dinner for four you would expect to leave happy. We did not.

What a lovely place! Beautifully decorated, homey, cozy, and comfortable. Food was great as was the service. Was a bit pricey but all in all a lovely dining experience.
