The Tower at Turning Stone Introduce

For individuals searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Central New York region, The Tower at Turning Stone stands as a prominent and recognizable accommodation within the expansive Turning Stone Resort Casino. Located at 5218 Patrick Rd, Verona, NY 13478, USA, The Tower is often a choice for those seeking direct and immediate access to the casino floor and its associated entertainment. The hotel can be contacted at (800) 771-7711 or +1 800-771-7711.

Environment:

The Tower at Turning Stone is the tallest building between Albany and Syracuse, a distinguishing feature that provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Its environment is intrinsically linked to the vibrancy of the Turning Stone Resort Casino. Guests staying at The Tower are "right near the casino in the same building," offering unparalleled convenience for gaming and entertainment enthusiasts. The lobby and common areas are designed to be grand and inviting, consistent with a major resort property. Guests have noted the presence of "lots of great little shops" within the same building, contributing to a self-contained environment where many activities are easily accessible. The overall atmosphere during peak times, given its direct casino access, is likely lively and bustling. However, some guest feedback has raised concerns about the interior environment of the rooms themselves. While described as "beautiful rooms" by one guest, another sharply criticized them as "so dated," particularly for the price point. The lack of smart TVs and even basic furniture like a table in some rooms, leading to eating dinner off an ironing board, suggests an inconsistency in room upkeep or modernization. This creates a dichotomy between the overall grandeur of the resort and the potentially less-than-modern interior of some guest accommodations within The Tower. The parking lot environment has also been a point of concern, with a guest reporting a hit-and-run incident and dissatisfaction with the hotel's assistance regarding security camera footage, raising questions about vehicle safety and hotel responsiveness in such situations.

Services and Features:

The Tower at Turning Stone, as part of a comprehensive resort, offers an extensive array of services and features, though the quality and modernization of these features within the actual guest rooms have received mixed reviews. The primary appeal of staying in The Tower is direct access to the Turning Stone Casino, which boasts a vast selection of slot machines, table games, and a sportsbook. Beyond gaming, the resort offers numerous dining options. While some guests praise the food quality, including the buffet which is described as "GREAT food" and "worth the money" at approximately $40 per person, others have noted that individual dinner prices can be quite high, ranging from "$30-$50 for dinner." This wide range of dining options, from casual to fine dining, caters to diverse palates and budgets within the resort complex.

Entertainment is another significant feature, with the resort hosting "amazing" shows and live performances in venues like the Event Center, as well as offering multiple nightclubs and bars. For recreation, guests have access to the Tower Fitness Club, a comprehensive fitness center (available to guests 18 and older), as well as golf courses, a full-service spa (Ska:ná: The Spa, though direct access from The Tower might involve a walk through the resort), and retail shops. The rooms themselves are generally spacious, with "beautiful rooms" being a positive note. However, the criticism about "dated" amenities like the absence of smart TVs and a lack of tables in some rooms, forcing guests to use an ironing board for dining, indicates that the in-room technology and comfort might not align with modern luxury standards or the high price point. The resort generally offers amenities such as complimentary valet parking, Wi-Fi access, and 24-hour guest services, though specific in-room Wi-Fi performance is not detailed in the provided reviews. The incident regarding assistance with a parking lot hit-and-run suggests a potential area where guest support could be improved, particularly concerning security and dispute resolution.

Promotional Information:

The Tower at Turning Stone is primarily promoted as a luxurious, high-rise hotel offering "panoramic views" and unparalleled access to the excitement and amenities of the Turning Stone Resort Casino. Its promotional messages highlight its status as a AAA Four Diamond property, aiming to convey a high standard of quality and service. Key selling points include its direct connection to the casino, the variety of dining options (from casual eateries to fine dining like TS Steakhouse, though this is not explicitly in The Tower, guests have access), and the extensive entertainment schedule. The resort's world-class golf courses, the award-winning spa, and the overall breadth of activities available are also heavily emphasized to attract a diverse clientele. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" and seeking a vibrant, all-inclusive resort experience centered around gaming and entertainment, The Tower at Turning Stone is positioned as a convenient and exciting choice. However, prospective guests should be mindful of the feedback regarding dated room amenities and high costs, and manage their expectations accordingly, particularly if a modern, fully equipped room is a high priority. The promotional material tends to focus on the overall resort experience and the convenience of being "right near the casino," which might overshadow specific room-level details that some guests find lacking for the price.

The rooms are so dated. 400 a night and theres not even a smart tv. Theres not even a table lol. I ate my dinner off an ironing board what is wrong with this place. To add insult to injury if someone hits your car in their parking lot infront of a camera and drives off they wont help you get a plate either. I won money and i regret going, worst casino ever.

Casino itself is nice and liked the steakhouse, unfortunately there’s been several occasions now where I’ve had a bug problem in my room. Last time I had multiple flies in my room and they moved me, this time I had numerous Asian ladybugs in my room (they bite), including in my bedding and they did nothing about it and actually Brandon the “supervisor” was extremely rude about it; they made me feel like I was the problem for “daring” to complain about what is clearly an issue for them based on some other reviews - really a shame.

DO NOT STAY HERE AND USE VALET We waited 45 minutes for our car worried it was stolen or something as the guys came over repeatedly asking new details about the car. They then asked us multiple times if we came down or would’ve gotten a new ticket. When they finally found our car and brought it down, we had to show them the vehicle registration to PROVE that it was our vehicle. My heart is pounding from thinking the vehicle got stolen. They said “sorry, it could’ve possibly been on our end since you had a different ticket from the one in the vehicle.” ??? Check the cameras, we haven’t left the building one time and my ticket stayed right in the bag where I left it. Made us feel bad for their mistake that cost us a peaceful stay at the resort and ended it with our hearts racing and then made to feel bad like they didn’t believe it was our vehicle. Would never trust this company with my car again.
