Nov 05, 2024 · Big MikeThis is not my first year going to this resort, but every single time for the past 3 years me and my family had a great time every time we went here. Wonderful location with very clean rooms that allows dogs! The amenities in the club house are all working and clean, the sauna and pool are amazing and a perfect way to end off a day of skiing. The nearby farm offers many great breakfast options. If you are looking for an area where you can relax and feel comfortable after spending a day in the area, especially if you have pets, I cannot recommend this place enough.
Dec 24, 2023 · kiryanoThe staff were great, the clubhouse was good but set quite a distance from the rooms. You have to go to all the way to the clubhouse just to get ice. Nothing to walk around and see. DO NOT GET THE STUDIO ROOMS!! They are so small, no small fridge or even a chair. When you enter, you better be going right to bed because there is no hanging out room. If you are going to a race, the location is perfect. If you want to sleep, expect to hear quads racing until late in the evening and race cars being revved first thing in the morning.
Jun 30, 2024 · Jay PosephneyThis was our first time staying here. We got the recommendation from a friend. Our family was very pleased with everything. We stayed in the 2br/2ba villa. The room was extremely clean when we walked in and fresh smelling. We had plenty of towels for our 5 night stay. We didn't even have to ask for more. There is plenty of closet space to store luggage or skiis. The pantry in the kitchen is large and has plenty of room to hold your crock pot or air fryer if you want to bring them. The kitchen had a regular 12 cup coffee pot (you need to provide your own filters for it), blender and toaster as well as all the plates, cups/glasses etc. you may need. The freezer also made ice which was a plus. We did use our stovetop twice while there but found only one burner worked out of four. It wasn't a biggie for us though. We brought dish towels and sponges and we are glad we did. They do provide a dish cloth and a bottle of dish soap to wash dishes and a drain board but it's small. We used the dish towel to dry our dishes. The showers are small but efficient. We noticed that the hot water did take a while to heat up but once it did, it was fine. I do wish they had more hooks in the bathroom. We managed though. There is plenty of space in the bedrooms. Bring your own pillows!!! The ones on the bed are flat as pancakes. The clubhouse is great! We had a blast playing ping pong, air hockey, fooseball and billiards while we were there. The pool was quiet and relaxing and set up very lovely. There is so also a small hot tub that can fit about 3 or 4 adults. We didn't use the gym or theater while we were there. The playground needs to be cleaned and maintained a bit better. There were some lose boards and big spiderwebs but I assumed many children do not play on it often. The area is so quiet. We saw deer on the grounds daily. You could hear some race cars on the track next door but it wasn't annoying. Overall this was a great place to stay. This is a very family friendly place to stay. If you are going to Kalahari, it's only 20 mins away and a easy route.
Jul 01, 2024 · Meghan TharpThe one bedroom villa we stayed in was honestly bigger than my apartment and it was CLEAN. I mean shockingly spotless. The kitchen came fully equipped with everything from baking pans to mixing bowls. We thought we wouldn't even touch them, but it was honestly really nice to warm a pastry up in the oven! The movie theater was great, super comfy chairs. The Pool looked nice, but we didn't have a chance to test it out. The sauna was one of the cheap ones that you can buy for about a grand and put together yourself. Nothing wrong with it just extremely small to the point where you wouldn't get in if someone else was in there. They're also right inside the bathroom and have a window so you get to make eye contact with everyone that walks in the bathroom. All in all, it was a decent stay, but there are some reasons I deducted a point. The pillows were very nice, but neither me or my partner found the bed to be comfy at all. While clean and huge, our villa was absolutely barren of any decoration. Having just basic furniture in such a big area made it feel felt sterile and empty, it sorta gave you the shivers. Secondly, things seemed like they were constantly in need of repair or being patched together. The handicap showerhead would not stay up on its own. There were some cracks in the drywall in the ceiling and walls and a loose tile or two in the bathroom. Once we tried to go out the main gate and it would not open for us. We had to exit our vehicle and manually push a button to open it. Just little things that were constantly out of wack or slightly damaged. Lastly, regarding wheelchair accessibility. They do everything by the book. That doesn't mean it's great though! The bathroom is plenty wide enough for a chair, but anything but a small frame wheelchair may not be able to get by the bed to get in the bathroom. You also need to roll right over the (very loose!) hvac vent to get there. The bed is very tall as well. Some wheelchair users may have difficulty or find it impossible to transfer that high. The shower chair did not seem sturdy and because of where it was mounted you could barely sit on it. I actually opted to sit on the floor of the shower instead just to feel safe. All in all, a lot of our complaints came down to accessibility and personal preferences. I don't think we will be back unless we can't find another place, but that doesn't mean we didn't enjoy our time or others wouldn't as well.
