Loved the vibe and aesthetic of the place. Very affordable for how nice and detailed the place was. Breakfast spread was decent. Provided very nice teas and coffee. Restaurant on property seemed promising but I didn't have time to partake. I hate the driving here. I would visit again but the constant delays in driving make visiting/staying in this area nearly pointless.

The Watershed, formerly known as Hotel Zero Degrees, underwent a renovation in April 2024, enhancing its facilities and aesthetic. It aims to offer an elegant and uncomplicated stay, appealing to both business and leisure travelers. Its location on Main Avenue provides convenient access to various local attractions, restaurants, shops, and bars, including the Maritime Aquarium, which is approximately 3 miles away. The hotel also benefits from its proximity to major highways, making it accessible for those driving through the area. While some guests have noted potential issues with traffic delays in the broader area, the hotel's immediate accessibility to the highway is generally seen as a positive.

The environment and aesthetic of The Watershed are frequently praised by guests. Reviews consistently mention a "wonderful vibe and aesthetic," with decor described as "modern but rustic." The lobby and common areas are characterized by a "lodge style" with "chic lounge furnishings" and a "fireplace," creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The design is often highlighted as "gorgeously decorated" with "every detail carefully curated." This attention to design creates a distinct experience that sets it apart from more generic hotel offerings, making it an attractive choice for travelers seeking a visually appealing and comfortable space.

In terms of services, The Watershed strives to provide a comprehensive and comfortable experience. Guests can expect high-speed WiFi throughout the property, which is a crucial amenity for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel boasts a 24-hour fitness center equipped with modern gym equipment, cardio machines, and free weights, allowing guests to maintain their fitness routines. Complimentary on-site parking, including covered self-parking and wheelchair-accessible options, adds significant convenience. The hotel also offers express check-out, a vending machine, a gift shop, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. For business travelers, there's a 24-hour business center with computer stations, coworking spaces, and three meeting rooms, including a conference center with 1,200 square feet of space. The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming dogs and cats under 100 pounds for an additional fee, a service appreciated by many travelers.

A notable feature of The Watershed is its on-site dining. The hotel partners with Siena Norwalk, an award-winning Italian restaurant conveniently located on the lobby level. Siena offers a "seasonally inspired Italian cuisine" with a menu featuring "homemade pastas and wood-fired oven pizzas, to mouth-watering antipasto and entrees." Guests have lauded the restaurant for its "delicious" food, "attentive service," and "great ambiance," with some mentioning "scenic views overlooking the Norwalk river." This on-site dining option is a significant advantage, particularly for guests who prefer to dine without leaving the hotel or for those hosting events. The availability of diverse menu options, including vegan and vegetarian choices, as well as an extensive wine list and craft cocktails, caters to a wide range of culinary preferences.

The hotel's breakfast offering is also a point of positive feedback. While not always a full hot buffet, reviews mention a "decent breakfast spread" and the provision of "very nice teas and coffee." Some sources indicate a complimentary coffee and fresh fruit offering, while others suggest an American breakfast option. The presence of a "food cupboard" for snacks and drinks further enhances the convenience for guests. The rooms themselves are designed for comfort, featuring premium bedding, in-room safes, desks, laptop workspaces, 55-inch Smart TVs with streaming services (Netflix, Hulu), mini-fridges, and on-request microwaves. Bathrooms are well-appointed with hydromassage showers and designer toiletries, reflecting the hotel's attention to detail and modern appeal. The hotel has 96 rooms, some offering river views, and is generally described as "clean and well-maintained," with some recent renovations ensuring a fresh feel. Hypo-allergenic bedding and blackout drapes are additional thoughtful touches for guest comfort.

The Watershed also offers unique features like an open-air rooftop lounge known as The River Loft. This premier rooftop venue includes plush cabanas with comfy seating, a cocktail water feature, and a bar, making it a lively haven for events and gatherings, and a relaxing retreat for guests. It hosts summer cocktail events and festive fall gatherings, offering a distinct leisure option. An outdoor entertainment area and outdoor furniture further extend the communal spaces for relaxation and enjoyment.

Promotional information, largely derived from customer reviews, points to the hotel's strong value proposition. Guests have found it "very affordable for how nice and detailed the place was" and a "great value." The high overall ratings on various booking platforms, with scores frequently in the "Excellent" range, serve as a testament to its quality and guest satisfaction. This strong positive reception is a compelling promotional aspect for users of "Hotels Near Of Me." The hotel also offers a local shuttle service to nearby attractions at no additional charge, which is a valuable convenience for guests looking to explore Norwalk without the hassle of driving or parking.

While the majority of feedback is positive, some reviews do note potential downsides. The hotel's proximity to train tracks can lead to noise disturbances for rooms on that side of the building, a factor for light sleepers. However, other guests have reported that the noise didn't bother them, suggesting varying experiences or effective sound insulation in some areas. A few isolated negative comments regarding front desk staff and a "musty smell" or "water damage" indicate that experiences can occasionally vary, though these appear to be less common than the widespread positive feedback. It is advisable for guests sensitive to noise to request a room away from the tracks if possible.

In conclusion, for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Norwalk, CT, The Watershed stands out as a highly-rated option that combines a chic, modern-rustic aesthetic with a strong array of amenities and services. Its on-site restaurant, well-equipped rooms, and attractive common areas, including the rooftop lounge, contribute to a memorable and comfortable stay. Despite minor concerns about train noise, the overwhelming positive feedback regarding its value, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere makes The Watershed a recommended choice for travelers seeking a quality experience in the Norwalk area.

We came onto this accidentally. It was a great fine in terms of pricing, location, and the hotel itself. The decor was modern but rustic. Love everything about it. We even had lunch at their restaurant which was delicious.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this hotel was frustrating enough that I feel obligated to warn others. The customer service was shockingly poor. The manager Julio need to be fired. He doesn't know how to talk to customer and doesn't offer solutions to problem. He just add more frustration. As for housekeeping—if it even exists at this hotel, I couldn’t tell. Please STAY AWAY.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The comfort and relaxation it provided were exactly what I needed. The rooms were cozy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure all my needs were met. The hotel's location was ideal for exploring Norwalk’s attractions and was conveniently close to family in other parts of Connecticut. It was also surrounded by a variety of delicious food options, making dining a treat every day. The atmosphere was peaceful, especially at night, allowing for restful sleep. The view from outside the room was beautiful, adding to the overall tranquility of the experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area—it's a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great service.

I really wanted this hotel to be great, but it just fell short in a few areas. It was a great location and extremely well decorated, but it was missing substance. The rooms were very nice and had great vibes, but the air in the room was so dry and the shower had terrible water pressure. We stayed over the holidays and there was no food available on Christmas Day, the restaurant they partner with was closed, and we felt that we did not have a proper warning it would be a food desert on the 25th. There were many groups of guests that came through looking for something small, but it was only coffee and tea, which was nice, but not substantial at all. The lobby is wonderful though, a great place to do work and chat while watching the river. It was a nice hotel, there were just small things that added up. I really wanted to like it more.
