Not to pile on, but I don’t recommend staying here. The pictures they show don’t match reality, the room smelled like a combination of dead animal and cleaning solution, the people above me played music and walked around all night long, the floors were spongy and uneven (!), there didn’t appear to be any hot water, the toilet was super hard to flush, and in general I felt very unsafe due to the sketchy clientele. Pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Regarding the environment of the Red Carpet Inn Stamford, CT, customer feedback indicates significant concerns. Multiple reviews describe the rooms and the overall property as being "disgusting," "dirty," and "outdated." Specific complaints about the room environment include unpleasant odors, described as a "combination of dead animal and cleaning solution," and a general sense of neglect. Floors have been noted as "spongy and uneven," which suggests potential structural issues or poor maintenance. The visual representation of the hotel through its promotional pictures has been cited as not matching the reality of the property, indicating a discrepancy between advertised conditions and actual guest experience. The atmosphere is also described as contributing to a feeling of unsafety due to "sketchy clientele," which can significantly impact a guest's comfort and peace of mind during their stay. These reports collectively paint a picture of an environment that may not meet general cleanliness or safety expectations for a hotel stay.
In terms of services, the provided information does not detail specific positive service interactions. Instead, the negative experiences reported by customers implicitly suggest a lack of adequate service or responsiveness to issues. For example, the absence of hot water and difficulty flushing the toilet in a guest room points to fundamental service failures related to basic amenities. While specific staff interactions are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the overall dissatisfaction with the room conditions and perceived safety could imply that guest concerns were either not addressed effectively or that the general operational standards are below par. The lack of working cable TV and the presence of older television sets further indicate that the in-room entertainment services may be deficient compared to modern hotel standards. The severity of issues reported, such as contracting scabies, suggests a serious breakdown in sanitation and hygiene protocols, which are core services expected from any accommodation provider. Therefore, based on available information, the services provided at Red Carpet Inn Stamford, CT, appear to be a significant area of concern for potential guests.
The features of the Red Carpet Inn Stamford, CT, as described by guests, primarily highlight deficiencies rather than advantages. The rooms, while offering basic shelter, are noted for being "outdated" with very old televisions that may not be functional. The condition of the bedding is a major point of contention, with allegations of it being unwashed or unchanged, leading to severe health concerns such as scabies. The presence of a strong, unpleasant odor in the rooms is another critical feature that detracts from the guest experience. Structural issues like "spongy and uneven" floors are not typical features expected in a well-maintained establishment. The functionality of basic bathroom fixtures, such as the toilet being "super hard to flush" and the apparent lack of hot water, points to significant deficiencies in the room's utility features. While the hotel does have an address and phone numbers (203) 325-2655 and +1 203-325-2655, which are fundamental features for any business, the quality and reliability of the physical features within the rooms and across the property appear to be severely compromised according to customer feedback. There is no information to suggest the presence of typical hotel amenities such as fitness centers, pools, or on-site dining, which are common features in many other establishments within the "Hotels Near Me" category.
Regarding promotional information, the available reviews do not provide any positive promotional details or offers from the Red Carpet Inn Stamford, CT. Instead, the feedback strongly advises against staying at this location. Customers explicitly recommend "pay a little more and go somewhere else," and to "stay far, far away from this dump." The severity of the negative experiences, including health concerns and feelings of unsafety, acts as a deterrent rather than a promotional incentive. The mismatch between "pictures they show" and "reality" suggests that any promotional imagery may be misleading. The overall consensus from the provided customer reviews is that the Red Carpet Inn Stamford, CT, is not a recommended choice for accommodation, especially for those prioritizing cleanliness, safety, and basic comfort. Therefore, prospective guests searching for "Hotels Near Me" in the Stamford area should consider these strong warnings when evaluating their options for a stay at this particular establishment.

May 10, 2025 · Trixie PixiedustWorst hotel experience of my life. This place is disgusting. Everything is dirty and outdated. The TV is older than I am and the cable doesn’t work. The bed smelled like someone died in it and I guarantee they never wash or change the bedding. I contracted scabies from staying here. I plan on calling the health department and pursuing legal action. I highly recommend you stay far, far away from this dump if you know what is good for you.
Apr 12, 2025 · Eric LavoieStayed 4 nights at this hotel. On the third night, I woke up in the middle of the night hearing some weird noises coming from behind the tv. When I checked what was going, there was a hole in the wall. There were 2 mouses trying to get food and making noises. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! TOTALLY DISGUSTING!
Mar 27, 2025 · Marlene SumianoI've recently come to Stamford, and needed a last minute booking and this hotel served just that. The Hotel looked like they just recently renovated their parking lot, and when I had questions and quick adjustment in regard to the room they were willing to do so! The staff is quite friendly and the housekeeper ensured my room was kept clean or I need additional towels for my room. I would recommend this place if you need something cheap.
Oct 06, 2024 · Rishi MehtaAll around terrible stay. We selected a non smoking room and when we were arrived it was smoking. Asked to move and the lady was rude but switched to a non smoking room. The room wasn’t clean but not dirty either. The heart jacuzzi tub didn’t even work which was disappointing. Bed was uncomfortable. The parking lot was messy and full of pot holes. Was so hard to get in and out of the parking lot due to location. When checking out the guy was asleep at the desk and had to wake up. The maid was the only nice person we met and was nice enough to give us more towels and TP because we didn’t have any. DO NOT STAY HERE!
