Recent stay at the Stamford Marriott on April 11, 2025. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the standards I have come to expect from Marriott, especially given this property's position as a flagship brand. Several issues impacted my stay: • The bed was extremely uncomfortable and did not resemble the traditional “Marriott Bed” that is a key part of your brand promise. • The daily parking fee of $25 felt excessive, particularly when many comparable hotels offer complimentary parking to their guests. • The bathroom lacked both adequate lighting and a functioning exhaust fan, which affected comfort and usability. I initially raised these concerns and was informed that the property leadership would reach out to resolve the matter. However, despite providing my contact details and sending several follow-up emails, I have yet to receive a response from Ms. Milka Mulugetta or any member of the Stamford Marriott team. Given the lack of follow-through and the poor quality of the accommodations i will not stay or recommend this location. I believe it is in Marriott’s best interest to ensure that the brand’s reputation is upheld, particularly at flagship locations.

The hotel is strategically positioned in the heart of downtown Stamford, providing excellent access to the city's vibrant urban core. Its location on Tresser Boulevard places it close to corporate offices, dining establishments, shopping areas, and entertainment venues. The hotel features an atrium lobby, which often provides a spacious and inviting entrance. The property itself is designed as a modern, high-rise hotel typical of a city center. It was built in 1983 and underwent renovations in 2011, suggesting a commitment to maintaining contemporary standards, although some guest feedback may point to areas where further updates could be beneficial. Other conveniences include daily housekeeping, express check-in and check-out, a lift for accessibility, laundry facilities, a gift shop/newsstand, an ATM, and luggage storage. Guests often commend the staff, particularly in the lounge and reception areas, for being "super pleasant," "kind," and "happy to see" returning visitors, which highlights a strong positive aspect of the service experience.

For group bookings or events, the hotel's sales team can provide customized rates and packages.
However, it is imperative to provide an objective introduction by including recent guest feedback, which highlights some areas of concern. A significant point raised by a recent guest (April 2025) is the perceived discomfort of the beds, noting that they did not meet the expected "Marriott Bed" standard. Issues with inadequate bathroom lighting and non-functioning exhaust fans were also reported. A common complaint for urban hotels, and specifically noted here, is the "excessive" daily parking fee of $25, which can add considerably to the overall cost of a stay. Furthermore, a critical concern was the reported lack of follow-through from hotel leadership in addressing these issues, despite multiple attempts by the guest to reach out. This indicates a potential gap in guest relations and issue resolution. While many guests praise the staff's pleasantness and the convenient location, prospective guests should be aware of these specific issues regarding room comfort, amenities, and follow-up service. It is advisable to clarify parking fees, inquire about the latest room conditions, and potentially verify the functionality of specific in-room amenities upon check-in to ensure a more satisfactory stay.

May 20, 2025 · DMNG MRTZFor a Stamford hotel, the location is great. It’s close to downtown however it is on a busy highway which impacts rooms above the sixth floor. The staff are super pleasant including the reception, bar, and especially Judy in the lounge!!! She is always happy to see us each month and is so kind.
May 01, 2025 · Elle FullerWhat needs to be improved? Almost everything in the room. The bed (not really the traditional, world famous, marriott bed). No bathroom exhaust fan. Poor lighting. BTW-$25 for hotel parking? really, that is over top and opportunistic since street parking is not readily available.
Apr 19, 2025 · D MntnzI stayed at this hotel for a Mother’s Day holiday weekend. The people were nice who worked there but the hotel is in need of a renovation. The hallway carpet was ripped, the room was old and the hotel in general smelled.
