My husband and I own a cabin nearby so I cannot provide review on Timber Lane cabins. However, the owners Art and Lisa are extremely friendly. We stop by for an ice cream treat and are always treated like good friends. They both take the time to have casual conversation, never making you feel rushed or they're too busy. The store is clean. You can find a variety of camp essentials, treats, movies and ice cream.

May 20, 2024 · Sherry HenryStaying here in the fall, early October, and it's GORGEOUS. The owners Lisa and Art are absolutely so sweet and accommodating! They are so attentive to us and you can tell they care about the people who stay in their cabins. They are lovely people. They have row boats, a paddle boat, and kayaks that you can use at any time! It's cold rn, but we're still getting some use out of them. They have a nice lake and the cabins are nice too. Amazing price and we're not too far from town! If they don't have what we need in their store, the grocery store is less than an hour round trip! Our car needed to be repaired whilst staying here and Art drove my husband to the car place to pick up our car once it was done (the taxi service did not work out). I love this place. Absolutely would come and stay again 😊
Oct 07, 2022 · Katie HardingGreat place. Very clean cabins, mobile homes with everything you could need. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Kids had a great time fishing and using the kayaks, paddle boat, and row boat provided. We will definitely be back!!!
Aug 21, 2017 · Jill BlyWe are most displeased and quite upset how we were treated on our recent stay at Timberline Resort. We have stayed here for about 20 years. Every fall we have stayed here and fished the local area. When we first started staying here the owner had told us he would build a fish cleaning station for us to clean fish in. Which never happened. So in the years previous we were always allowed to clean fish in the trailer where we stayed. We used the center free standing counter. Which we also put paper down and used cutting boards to filet fish on. We also cleaned our boards and knives outside at the water pump. Keep in mind we are very avid fishermen. We were also very careful not to leave any mess behind and always sweep the kitchen floor and vacuum the entire trailer prior to departing.Which we have done for 20 years. (never a problem) we even disposed of all the fish as the owner seemed to have a problem with this task. ( even though he supposedly caters to hunters and fishermen. This year as always we sent them a deposit. We arrived after an 8 plus hour drive and we were told that we could no longer clean fish inside, because someone else had made a mess. Our question was how come we were not told this at the time we booked this place over the phone with the owner. We did have a heated conversation with one of the owners with nothing really being settled other than we were told again that we were not to clean fish in the trailer. ( I was accused later of harassing one of the owners which I did not nor did I personally verbally attack them. We had a disagreement and that was it.We thought that was it. But the next morning one of the owners came into our trailer and shouted at us that were not welcome here and to get out ! Even threatened to call the sheriff even though he had our deposit. Over the years we have given these folks fish every year, I even gave them dishes and pots /pans for their cabins. One year I had to clean up human waste off the bathroom floor due to them not having their septic tank emptied. This year like many other years there were always light bulbs burned out. Three of the four above the kitchen table were burned out this year. Well anyway we will not be staying here anymore. We have found a much better host which is much more accommodating by far !! Good by Timberlane Resort !! Oh by the way they do not have free internet !
Oct 08, 2020 · Paul MessnerI'm from Iron Mountain, and I've stayed here three years in a row. I give them an A+ However, keep in mind that these are UP type cabins/mobile homes. You're not booking a 5 star resort. That said, you're also not paying Ritz Carlton prices. I've spent my career in hospitality, so I'm a good judge of accommodations. Number one, and most importantly; IT IS CLEAN! Yes, they are older...and kind of a hodgepodge of furnishings. But, in hospitality business, it can be old...just not old and dirty. Two, the owners live onsite. I've interacted with the entire family on a multitude of occasions and I've never had a bad experience. The father...even offered to help me change a flat tire...and the use of his tire jack. (Nobody does that.) Three; it's in a wonderful location and is family oriented. It tends to be quiet, but I've experienced a few rowdy people. (There's a fire pit in the middle, so ppl can make a little noise, but it's never been an issue for us.). Finally, I LOVE iron county and this particular area. Way Dam, Dawson Lake, Camp Five road...it's just a wonderful place. Add in that they still sell penny candy and ice cream...and you just can't go wrong. If you're looking for a UP get away...I'd highly recommend.
