I enjoyed a beautiful weekend at Pinecrest’s Lakeside cabin with my family. The cabin has a full kitchen, four bedrooms, two full baths and could comfortably sleep up to 8 people (or more including couch). Mike and Madi are amazing hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay here. They have beautifully preserved the original character and history of the property. Even though it’s “shoulder” season in April, there were still spots to do hikes and spots in nearby towns to check out. Still a bit chilly at night, which is good for the authentic Finnish sauna experience! Also if you’re a cyclist, there are beautiful roads / routes in the area with rolling terrain and very few cars.

Jan 13, 2025 · Josh BoudreauxWe had our wedding at Pinecrest this year and had an absolutely wonderful experience. If you are looking for an intimate, natural, and rustic yet elegant vibe, then this is the perfect wedding venue. The owners and staff are all very nice, helpful and fun. They are also very creative and really helped us to have a beautiful wedding setup. We rented out the whole property and had family and friends stay onsite for the weekend. Everyone really enjoyed the cabins, they were so cozy and comfortable and had so many intentional details. There is also a wood fired sauna that we really enjoyed using for the weekend. The property and lake are scenic and peaceful. Pinecrest is the perfect place for a small wedding or just a nature getaway!
Nov 26, 2024 · Sinclaire BrownAs a Michigan elopement photographer, I was STOKED to recommend this beautiful camp venue to my couple, which is exactly the kind of location they were wanting. The owners are fabulous, kind, intentional, and fun. They have an amazing location in the Upper Peninsula, perfect for weddings and elopements of all types. The access to a lake with a canoe was paramount for my couple and their elopement experience. The charm and coziness of this place is unmatched. The reception space was so warm and inviting, complete with candles and vintage details. I'm so excited to come back for future elopements.
Aug 12, 2024 · Emily Hary PhotographyWe booked Pinecrest Northwoods for our wedding this year and it was absolutely incredible, I highly recommend it. We had our family lodging in each of the cabins on site and every one of them said the weekend was perfect and they look forward to coming back. Madi and Mike were fantastic throughout the process, helping us manage vendors, keeping us on time, handling everything that required creativity flawlessly, and just being amazing people to help us enjoy our special weekend stress-free. The venue is gorgeous and everyone enjoyed the time spent on the water kayaking, fishing, enjoying the scenery, sitting by the fire, and relaxing in the sauna. I personally really loved how comfortable the beds were, and the overall cabin aesthetics. It was everything I could hope for and more. (also if you go, do the s'mores bar!).
