I recently stayed here during a leisure trip to visit Six Flags Great America, and I had a great experience. Check-in was fast and friendly, and the staff remained welcoming throughout my stay. The room was clean, well maintained, and in great condition. Everything felt fresh and comfortable. The free breakfast had a good selection and was a great way to start the day. The location was also very convenient for getting to Six Flags and getting around the area. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Stayed while visiting Chicago and Six Flags. Location is convenient, a fairly simple drive to and from the city, close to six flags, and right by a Starbucks, Walmart, and food locations (Culver’s, Chipotle, etc.). Had good service when checking in the evening/night. The lady was thorough and ensured we got all we needed/were to receive. All housekeeping we passed in the halls or elevators were very nice. The hotel has complimentary breakfast which is always a win, especially the make your own waffles. Self parking at no additional charge. The rooms are conveniently set up and you are supplied what you may need for your mini kitchen. First impression was the part of the hotel sign lights are out and the roads leading into the parking lot need repaired. Would also be nice to have an upgraded shower. Overall the stay was what we needed for a couple nights.

Extremely disappointing experience. Disappointed by the front desk and management who did not reach out. I didn't want to leave this review, believing that management would want to talk to me first to smooth things over. On Saturday evening, upon entering, I stood at the front desk while awaiting for Alma to greet me or even acknowledge that I walked in. As Alma stared at the computer screen, ignoring me, I waited. Then the phone rings and she picks up the phone and mentions that she's extremely busy needing to answer both phones and was currently with a customer. I was very confused because she never even greeted me and I was the only one in the lobby so who else was she currently working with? As she checks me in, she tells me a total higher than my e-receipt. I had booked a stay at TownePlace with an e-receipt totaling $265.44. She mentions a $50 hold, which is fine, which would've brought the total to $315.44 but she tells me it'l be $328.88. I show her my e-receipt and mention, that is not the price I agreed on when booking. As my husband brings in my fussy newborn and my 4 year old, I pick up my newborn and Alma says to me "What do you want me to do about it? It's in the computer so do you want to check in or not?" I tell her to check us in, she gives me my cards and I'm on my way to room 138. Upon arriving to room 138, I turn on the tv. The tv is not working so I go over and pick up the phone to call the front desk, the phone is also not working. I go out into the lobby to mention that room 138 has a tv that is not working and the phone is not working. She points to a post it note on the front desk that says exactly that, Room 138, TV not working. She goes on to complain to me that it's been broken for days and it should've been fixed by now. She gets my family into a room on the 3rd floor. I checked in around 8:30pm on a Saturday evening with my two very tired children. We were traveling from Wisconsin to Ohio and we were very exhausted. I am so incredibly disappointed in my experience with the check in process, not being greeted, being totally ignored, then put into a room that was already known to have issues and waking up my very exhausted 4 year old to go into another room. This is not the kind of customer service that I expected from a hotel that costs more than $250 per night after taxes. On Sunday morning, I call the front desk and this woman was great. She had apologized for my experience and assured me that Keenan the GM would reach out to me and fix their wrong. She emailed Keenan and told him about my experience during check in. She said although Keenan will not be in on Sunday, he does check his email so he may respond to me directly on Sunday or maybe at least Monday at 7am when he gets in. Well today is Wednesday afternoon and there’s been nothing. I’m so disappointed in my experience from a Marriott Hotel. Especially when we stayed at a Marriott in Milwaukee just the night before and had a great experience. $265 for a night in a hotel is not a small price to pay, and I am so disappointed in my experience at this Marriott Hotel. When passing through Gurnee, I’ll never stay at this Marriott ever again just because the staff is disrespectful and management does not follow through even when customers are not treated right.   It is my right to be able to be acknowledged and check in with my young children drama free and without stress. Hotels and hospitality should be where I am able to relax and feel comfortable to bring my family in at any hour. Do better.

This place was recommended to me by my supervisor who’s visited the Naval Base for years. It was a ten minute drive to the naval base which was perfect when attending boot camp graduations. We didn’t venture into many of the services offered such as the pool or weight room. But they did have a computer and printer available for me to print our car rental agreement for our visit to the base. We grilled on their outside grills where they offer utensils for cooking. There were many restaurants available and a Walmart close for fast “oh my goodness I need” things! We also unexpectedly stayed another day with no problem. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Our whole month stay was amazing. The staff are wonderful. Walmart, bowling alley, shopping, food are all super close. The breakfast is sooo good and the staff that make that happen are fabulous. Pet friendly and they loved our doggo. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!
