I'm staying here now in a room. The room was clean .it's quiet here .The shared bathroom is clean and nice. .noone bothered me while I took a shower. I think they need a laundry area here and a way to keep food cold. But I like it and it's quiet so far

Yesterday's Introduce

For those searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Renovo, Pennsylvania, "Yesterday's" at 100 3rd St, Renovo, PA 17764, USA, presents itself as a no-frills, practical option. This establishment serves as both a hotel and a restaurant, catering to travelers seeking straightforward accommodation and convenient dining. It can be reached at (860) 439-0464, although the phone number provided is for a different state and appears to be incorrect for Renovo, PA. It's advisable to search for the correct local contact number for direct inquiries.

The environment of Yesterday's is characterized by its simplicity and the presence of a welcoming, small-town atmosphere. Guests describe the hotel as "nothing fancy," emphasizing its basic nature. However, what it might lack in luxury, it appears to make up for in practicality and a sense of calm. Reviews suggest that the property is generally "quiet," which is a significant plus for travelers looking for a restful night. The immediate surroundings would be typical of a small town street, likely offering a glimpse into local life. While some past reviews mention cleanliness concerns in the general vicinity of the property, such as "tiny liquor bottles," the rooms themselves are generally found to be "clean." The building is noted to be historic, tracing its past to the heyday of the Pennsylvania Railroad, and there have been discussions about potential renovations by new ownership, which could contribute to an improved environment in the future.

In terms of location, Yesterday's is situated in Renovo, a borough known for its natural beauty and proximity to outdoor recreational areas. Nearby attractions include Hyner View State Park, famous for its panoramic views and hang gliding, and Kettle Creek State Park. Renovo is also part of the Bucktail State Park Natural Area, offering a scenic drive through a narrow valley. These natural landmarks appeal to outdoor enthusiasts. The presence of an on-site restaurant and its central location in town provide convenience for guests, with access to other local amenities and potentially the social hub of the community.

Regarding services and features, Yesterday's aims to provide essential comforts for its guests. The rooms, while basic, are equipped with necessary amenities to meet travelers' needs. Reviews indicate that rooms are "clean" and "priced accordingly," suggesting good value for money. A notable feature is the shared bathroom facility, which guests have found to be "clean and nice." This indicates that while not all rooms may have private en-suite bathrooms, the shared facilities are well-maintained. A significant aspect of Yesterday's is its attached restaurant. This restaurant serves "traditional American fare," which guests have found to be "reasonably priced, good portion size, and delicious." This on-site dining option offers a convenient and satisfying meal solution for guests without needing to venture far. While some reviews express a desire for additional amenities like a laundry area and a way to keep food cold (suggesting a lack of in-room refrigerators or common area refrigeration), these are typical for more basic or historical establishments.

The standout feature of Yesterday's is often the hospitality provided by the staff and, presumably, the owners. Guests frequently praise the "lady, whom I assume owns the place, and her staff" for being "very friendly and attentive." This personal touch and welcoming demeanor significantly contribute to a positive guest experience, making visitors feel at home in a modest setting. The quiet atmosphere mentioned by guests is also a valuable feature, allowing for a peaceful stay despite any potential external activity. The dual function of the establishment as both a hotel and a restaurant provides a convenient package for travelers.

Promotional information for Yesterday's would likely focus on its affordability, its friendly service, and the convenience of having an on-site restaurant. It appeals to travelers who prioritize value and a homely atmosphere over luxurious amenities. The "no-frills" nature is implicitly part of its appeal, as it sets expectations for a practical stay. The positive comments about the food and the staff serve as strong endorsements, highlighting the establishment's commitment to basic quality and good customer relations. For those exploring the natural beauty of Clinton County and the surrounding state parks, Yesterday's provides a functional and centrally located base. While it might not offer the extensive services of a larger hotel chain, its charm lies in its simplicity, its local character, and the warmth of its hospitality. Potential guests should understand that this is a more traditional, perhaps older, establishment that values a straightforward, welcoming approach rather than high-end services. Given its historical background and recent talks of ownership changes and renovations, future guests might see improvements that further enhance its offerings while retaining its core appeal.

Nothing fancy about this place. The room is certainly basic, but it has all your needs and it was clean and priced accordingly. The food at the restaurant was your traditional American fare and it was also reasonably priced, good portion size, and delicious. The lady, whom I assume owns the place, and her staff were very friendly and attentive. My only complaint would be was that the walls are pretty thin.

One weekend a year, my club and I visit this lovely establishment and they treat us like kings. The food is good, the prices are fair, but hey; this is coming from a guy that look forward to having to check in a room at the Bates Motel. Did I ever tell y'all I'm a big horror fan......?

Nice place to stop for a break. They have an ice cream parlor inside the front doors, a bar on the right, and a 1950's style cafe / restaurant in back. I have stopped here for breakfast and it's very good. Regarding the hotel, don't expect luxury accommodations. It's a very old building located in a very small town. If you want a commercial hotel chain, then head east to Lock Haven or south to I-80. Update May 2015 - the cafe / restaurant is no longer 50's style.

My friends and I used this as our home base to explore the surrounding mountains on mopeds. At $70 a night, we were VERY happy with our rooms and service. Super friendly staff, breakfast at the restaurant was great, and the bar tender at the lounge took good care of us. Rooms were clean and cozy. Maybe not the most modern but it's fitting for the area and the rate. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Pet friendly too, Miley the black lab was a big hit with the staff! We plan on making this an annual stop.
