The Marriott Gateway Hotel treats their guests like first class citizens but it treats the employees like standby passengers. The Marriott slogan is brand excellence for customers but behind the scenes the managers in place treat employees with disrespect, rude behavior and poor communication. Even their contract employees like their valet service (Towne Park) they talk down to the employees. Eyewitness saw an employee getting their life threatened by one of The vendors from US foods and the man reported the incident and the hotel did nothing and the hotel Management asked the man who worked for the valet company not to come back to the property. All because he reported that his life was being threatened. There were witnesses that witnessed and cameras around but there was no serious action taking about this matter and this is happening at this property on several occasions. So don't be fooled by the great customer service you get as a guest because the people serving you get treated like second and third class citizens. The general manager David is extremely rude. He will treat the guests like a first class Customer, but the people who were under him to make him look good and takes nothing serious. It's all about politics. The customer services only to get your money. So the next time you see a valet or someone from the hotel staff ask them are they okay and they're probably not?.

Located at 2020 Convention Center Concourse, Atlanta, GA 30337, USA, this hotel offers unparalleled access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), making it a favorite for both business and leisure travelers.
The environment of the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway is designed to exude a sense of upscale comfort and efficiency. Guests consistently praise the hotel's cleanliness and the overall inviting atmosphere. The rooms are described as "clean and comfortable," with features such as "big windows and no noise" due to the "thickness of the glass of the window," ensuring a peaceful stay despite its proximity to the airport. The common areas, including the lobby, restaurants, and bar, present a modern and well-maintained aesthetic, typical of the Marriott brand. The direct physical connection to the SkyTrain and the convention center further enhances the environment, creating a seamless travel experience for guests.
Customer service at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway is frequently highlighted as a significant strength. Reviews often commend the "best customer service, from reception, management, to valet." Guests report that "Every staff was gracious, polite and attentive doing it with a smile." This dedication to guest satisfaction creates a welcoming and efficient experience, from check-in to departure. However, it is crucial to present a balanced view, as one extensive review critically points out a stark contrast between guest-facing service and alleged internal employee treatment. This review states that while guests are treated "like first class citizens," employees are reportedly treated with "disrespect, rude behavior and poor communication" by management. It further alleges serious incidents of workplace issues, including a life threat to an employee that was reportedly unaddressed by management, leading to the employee's termination. This perspective suggests that while the visible customer service is exemplary, there might be underlying issues in internal employee relations and management practices. For an objective introduction, it's important for potential guests to be aware that the highly polished guest experience may be supported by a different internal dynamic, according to this specific feedback.
The features of the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway are comprehensive, catering to a wide range of traveler needs. A standout feature is its direct connection to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport via the ATL SkyTrain. This elevated tram provides a complimentary, quick, and efficient link directly to the airport's domestic terminal, eliminating the need for separate shuttles or taxis to and from the main airport complex, significantly streamlining airport transfers. This direct access makes it an ideal choice for anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with ultimate airport convenience. The hotel is also "steps away from the convention center," making it the preferred lodging for attendees of events at the GICC.
Accommodations at the Marriott Gateway typically include well-appointed rooms with amenities such as a "small fridge and coffee maker," comfortable bedding, and functional workspaces. The soundproofing of the windows is particularly beneficial for airport hotels, ensuring a quiet retreat. Dining options are plentiful on-site; there is a "restaurant in the main floor," a Starbucks for coffee and quick bites, and a "great bar" for evening relaxation and socializing. For Marriott Bonvoy elite members, the concierge lounge is a valued amenity, though one review noted it was "only open on Friday" during their stay, leading to vouchers for a restaurant across the street (Renaissance) based on status. While the breakfast at the lounge was described as sometimes running out of items, particularly fruits and pastries, even at 9 AM, the availability of alternative dining within the hotel and nearby is a strong point. The hotel also features a fitness center and an indoor pool, providing opportunities for recreation and maintaining wellness routines while traveling.
Regarding promotional information, as a Marriott property, the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway frequently participates in Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program offers, providing benefits such as discounted rates, points accumulation, and elite member privileges. Guests can often find seasonal promotions, package deals that might include parking, or special rates for corporate bookings or extended stays. To inquire about specific promotions, packages, or availability, guests are encouraged to contact the hotel directly at (404) 763-1544 or +1 404-763-1544, or visit the official Marriott website. Given its prime location and comprehensive amenities, the hotel is often a choice for corporate travelers, convention attendees, and those seeking a seamless airport experience, justifying its premium positioning within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category.
The strategic location of the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway extends beyond just airport access. Its position on the Convention Center Concourse means direct pedestrian access to the Georgia International Convention Center, making it the most convenient hotel for major events held there. Furthermore, the SkyTrain connection to the airport also grants access to the MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) station at the airport, providing public transportation options to downtown Atlanta and its many attractions, including the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Centennial Olympic Park. This connectivity allows guests to easily explore the city without the need for a rental car, making it an excellent base for a wider Atlanta visit.
In conclusion, the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway presents itself as a premier destination for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Atlanta Airport area. Its key strengths lie in its unparalleled SkyTrain connectivity to the airport, direct access to the convention center, comfortable and quiet rooms, and a wide array of on-site dining and recreational facilities. The guest-facing customer service is consistently praised as exceptional, reflecting the Marriott brand's commitment to guest satisfaction. However, prospective guests should also be aware of the serious allegations concerning internal employee treatment, as highlighted in one review, which presents a different perspective on the hotel's operational culture. Despite this, for the vast majority of guests, the hotel delivers a high-quality, convenient, and comfortable stay, solidifying its reputation as a top choice in the College Park area.

Apr 29, 2025 · Terry Bello BurtonI will start with the best customer service, from reception, management, to valet. Every staff was gracious, polite and attentive doing it with a smile. The room was clean and comfortable with a small fridge and coffee maker. The thickness of the glass of the window was perfect, big windows and no noise. The hotel is right next to the airport that connects it with a tram. The hotel is steps away from the convention center. There is a restaurant in the main floor, Starbucks, and a great bar. The concierge room was only open on Friday but were given vouchers for the restaurant across the street (Renaissance) based on status. The only complaint is that breakfast at the lounge was until 10, we arrived at 9 and they had run out of fruits and most bread and pastries. I had to asked for a cereal to the attendant, she open a cabinet gave me one but never restocked. I am hopeful that eventually the concierge lounge opens in the weekend.
Mar 07, 2025 · Peak of human evolutionRoom was a bit smaller than I anticipated. Booked a king room with balcony but due to construction, I was put into a double bed standard unit. Bummer. Stuffy and a bit claustrophobic but had a nice view of the airport plane traffic. Surprisingly quiet even though the airport was close. All employees were super nice & helpful (especially the valets).
May 01, 2025 · Laura CampbellOne of the best airport hotels near Hartsfield-Jackson (and apparently the convention center) After an event at the Fox Theater and an early next day morning flight we decided to stay close to the airport. First time at this hotel but will definitely say again. The Self Park was easy to use and worth the $45 for the overnight( husband flying out I was sleeping in). Room was clean & bed was comfortable. check-in staff friendly, quick and efficient. Only negative was stained carpet in the room. It would have gotten five star for rooms if lvp tile replaced carpet for a bit nicer more sanitary 🤔 AND Shout out to the chef who made the American breakfast delivered via room service. The American breakfast wedge potato was the best I have ever tasted as the seasoning was perfect and eggs were over medium exactly.
May 06, 2025 · c “CWinGA” wrightI just LOVE this hotel, they’re so accommodating and make you feel so welcomed every time you enter. From front desk to the cleaning services. I often times order from Champions restaurant downstairs and when I do I’m greeted by Ms. Karla! She’s just so pleasant and hospitable, and makes sure that you’re taken care of. Anytime I’m in ATL I’ll be sure to book especially since it’s close to the airport too!
