I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the owners and front desk staff had no regard for hospitality or professional courtesy. They were rude and dismissive, showing no interest in providing a welcoming environment for their guests. Any questions or concerns I had were met with indifference, making it obvious that customer satisfaction was not a priority. The condition of the room was equally appalling. The bed had clearly not been cleaned, as there were visible stains on the sheets and an overall musty odor in the room. To make matters worse, I found someone else’s clothing under the bed, which raised serious concerns about the hotel’s cleanliness and housekeeping standards. It was unsettling to think about how little effort was put into maintaining basic hygiene. This experience made it clear that the owners have no interest in running a respectable establishment. Their lack of professionalism and complete disregard for guest comfort was evident in every aspect of my stay. I will never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs. If you value cleanliness, professionalism, and basic hospitality, look elsewhere.

For direct communication, the hotel's phone number is (770) 847-7053 or +1 770-847-7053.
The hotel is located in Norcross, a suburban city in Gwinnett County, northeast of Atlanta. This area is predominantly a commercial and industrial hub, with numerous businesses and corporate offices. The hotel's placement on Oakbrook Parkway provides relatively easy access to Interstate 85, a major artery connecting Norcross to downtown Atlanta and other significant points of interest in the wider metropolitan area. This accessibility makes it a convenient choice for individuals traveling through or conducting business in Norcross, Peachtree Corners, or Duluth.
The immediate surroundings of the hotel are characteristic of a suburban commercial corridor, with a mix of light industrial facilities, retail plazas, and various dining establishments. While not a tourist hotspot itself, its location offers a practical base for accessing Gwinnett County Convention Center, Infinite Energy Center (now Gas South District), and Stone Mountain Park, all within a reasonable driving distance. Travelers heading into downtown Atlanta for attractions like the Georgia Aquarium or World of Coca-Cola should anticipate a drive of approximately 25-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Baymont by Wyndham Norcross Atlanta, as part of the Wyndham family of hotels, typically offers a standard set of amenities common to the brand's economy segment. These generally include a complimentary breakfast, though the quality and availability may vary. Free Wi-Fi is usually provided in guest rooms and public areas, enabling guests to stay connected. Rooms are typically equipped with basic comforts such as a television, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. The hotel may also offer free self-parking, a valuable amenity for guests traveling by car.
As a Baymont property, it is common to find features like a 24-hour front desk for guest assistance. Some Baymont locations might offer a fitness center or a seasonal outdoor pool, but specific details for this particular property would need to be verified, especially given the lack of specific mention in the provided information and the critical reviews. Pet-friendly policies are often a feature of Wyndham brands, but it is always recommended to confirm directly with the hotel about any applicable fees or restrictions for pets.
However, based on the provided customer reviews, it is essential to present an objective view of the services and amenities in practice. Critical feedback highlights significant concerns regarding fundamental aspects of hotel service. For instance, the general attitude of the front desk staff and owners has been described as "rude and dismissive," showing "no interest in providing a welcoming environment for their guests." Issues regarding billing and refunds have also been reported, indicating potential inconsistencies in customer service and honoring commitments made by phone representatives.
The core feature of Baymont by Wyndham Norcross Atlanta, like other hotels in its category, is to provide essential lodging at a more affordable price point. However, the guest experience, as indicated by recent reviews, presents significant challenges. The cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms appear to be a major concern. One reviewer explicitly stated, "The bed had clearly not been cleaned, as there were visible stains on the sheets and an overall musty odor in the room. To make matters worse, I found someone else’s clothing under the bed, which raised serious concerns about the hotel’s cleanliness and housekeeping standards." Another review corroborated this, mentioning, "the hotel was not clean—the bedsheets were dirty." Such issues directly impact the fundamental promise of a comfortable and hygienic stay.
Beyond cleanliness, the interaction with staff has been a significant point of dissatisfaction. The reviews describe instances of "indifference" to concerns and a "lack of professionalism and complete disregard for guest comfort." Discrepancies in billing, where an "extra $20" was charged without clear justification and a promised refund was not honored, further underscore concerns about the hotel's operational consistency and customer service reliability. These experiences are highly detrimental to guest satisfaction, as they suggest a breakdown in basic hospitality principles.
The overall impression from the provided customer feedback is that while the hotel may aim to offer a budget-friendly option, the execution of core services, particularly cleanliness and customer interaction, falls significantly short of expectations. The reviews strongly advise potential guests to "avoid this place at all costs" if they "value cleanliness, professionalism, and basic hospitality."
As a Wyndham brand, Baymont by Wyndham Norcross Atlanta would typically participate in the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for stays across the Wyndham portfolio. Hotels in this segment often offer various promotions aimed at attracting budget-conscious travelers. These might include:
However, given the severe negative feedback on fundamental aspects of the hotel experience, potential promotional offers should be considered carefully against the reported service quality. It is strongly advised for travelers considering this hotel to read the most recent reviews available on various booking platforms and to confirm all details, including pricing, room conditions, and refund policies, directly with the hotel before making a reservation. Due to the significant concerns raised by multiple guests regarding cleanliness and service integrity, a high degree of caution is warranted.

Mar 19, 2025 · Louis GreenWe had a terrible experience with this hotel. We made our reservation over the phone using the number listed on Google. However, the young receptionist—a woman from India—insisted we had to pay an extra $20 because two of the four people in the room were not children. This made no sense. I called the same number again, and the representative on the phone confirmed that the extra charge was unwarranted. They even spoke directly to the receptionist, but she kept insisting. A second person on the phone then apologized, assured us we didn’t have to pay the extra $20, and said we would receive a $74 refund for all the trouble. This was said on speakerphone, and both the receptionist and another staff member at the front desk heard it. The next day, during check-out, they refused to honor the refund and claimed there was no such promise. When we called back, no one could give us an explanation or take responsibility. We wasted an hour and a half at night trying to resolve the issue, staying up until midnight. The next morning, we lost another hour trying to sort out the refund, with no results. Awful service. On top of that, the hotel was not clean—the bedsheets were dirty.
May 22, 2025 · Maria del Carmen Toro SalazarIt's been exactly one month since my horrible stay and Baymont has yet to rectify their errors. I have previously left a bad review that detailed my entire experience during my stay with them (with mentions of cockroach, "hot breakfast", spider etc.). The place is completely falling apart and the service given by the Indian girl working the front desk, Nisha, is atrocious. She had no hospitality or knowledge whatsoever. The worst part of it is them refusing to refund my deposit after checking out, accusing me of causing damage to their room. Mind you, the room was already damaged when I checked in, but after the hassle of changing room THREE TIMES, I didn't want to repeat that nuisance and accepted the room as it was. The bed sheets had drops of blood on them but I ignored those stains. Now, after a month since I tried to get a hold of the manager over the phone, they have yet to contact me and resolve this issue. They claimed I left stains on their sheets, which I tried to explain, but Nisha was rude and kept interrupting me during the phone call and eventually hung up on me. To anyone who is looking for a place to stay the night, look elsewhere. This place is not worth your stress and money.
Jan 15, 2025 · Jayson Phuah Jia ShengVery nice comfy hotel with a balcony room, it's 5$ extra which is nice, had to switch rooms because of a roach and the front desk lady was really nice. Breakfast is a grab and go Breakfast with juice, crackers a Danish, belvita cookies and a bottle water
Nov 18, 2024 · Kenny ScoginWyndham needs to do something about this. Your name is backing up this motel and that's really bad. We picked this place over at least 10 places to stay for our vacation. In fact,we paid more to stay here because of two things. First, reviews. Good overall recommendations. Second, full hot breakfast. This place is quite far from Atlanta but we chose to stay here and drive a little more in exchange of a nice full hot breakfast. What they gave us? A bag with a juice bottle, cheese crackers and chocolate chip cookies. Each and every day. Reason? Kitchen was closed for remodeling. Guess what? It was a lie. I looked inside kitchen and it was perfectly fine. How can they can do something like this? Manager? Was there a manager? That's not the only thing. For the first two days we chose to hang the "do not disturb" sign because it was totally unnecessary. Guess what again? We spent 6 nights without any cleaning or towel replacements or anything! I spoke to the front desk lady and told her we needed paper at our room, hoping she would send the maid( who was just there while we were talking) and she just gave me a bathroom paper roll. Location is nice and quiet but that's it. Motel entrance and lobby look very attractive but once you get in the rooms you will notice they are heavily outdated. One of the worst experiences ever when talking about vacation stays. Do yourself and your family a favor and book elsewhere. If Wyndham puts it name behind such a place I really will never book a stay in a Wyndham anything.
