Its name highlights its proximity to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, which is indeed a key feature for convention-goers. While the hotel is not directly "in" the convention center, guest feedback indicates it's approximately a 10-minute walk away. This walk, as noted by some guests, may traverse an area that is not consistently described as the "nicest." However, others have reported feeling safe even when walking around at night, suggesting varying perceptions of the immediate surroundings.
Beyond the convention center, the hotel's location offers reasonable access to other major Philadelphia attractions. It's described as a "close walk to city hall," a central landmark. The architecture around the area is noted by some as beautiful, contributing to the urban experience. Guest reviews indicate that staff are generally "very friendly" and helpful, with one guest specifically mentioning being able to get an early check-in. However, other feedback suggests that service can be "hit or miss," with some employees occasionally giving the "overall feeling... that you were bothering them." This highlights a potential inconsistency in service delivery.

The hotel aims to provide a reliable and consistent experience characteristic of the Best Western brand. It can be quite busy, particularly with "sports teams and convention participants often filling it up." This suggests it's a popular choice for groups and event attendees, which can lead to a lively atmosphere. Mar 04, 2025 · Katie AnnWe were in Philadelphia for a Volleyball Tournament. The hotel is NOT in the convention center. It’s about a 10 minute walk but not in the nicest area. The hotel was mediocre at best. The breakfast was disgusting. A couple employees were professional but the overall feeling was that you were bothering them. I wouldn’t stay here again. Posting the view from our bedroom window.
Apr 13, 2025 · Teresa PExcellent stay during my visit to Philly for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Desk attendants were courteous at every point. Room was clean and had plenty of space for 2. Bed was a little springy but nothing terrible. Decor in the room is outdated...but nothing too terrible as the halls and lobby had been updated recently. Has it's own bar which was very nice to catch a before bed drink. Breakfast is a nice touch with eggs, sausage, waffles, and an assortment of grains, as well as nespresso machine. Perfect for what we had budgeted for!
Dec 10, 2024 · Noah BrudapastWORST HOTEL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Luckily, I didn't have the displeasure of actually staying here. I had a family emergency and booked through a third party. But I called the hotel directly first to let them know of the cancellation and the attendant was VERY rude and VERY unprofessional, frankly he sounded like he hated his job. Secondly, management denied the 3rd party request to not charge me on the grounds of "no call, now show" which is a complete LIE since I 100% called. I will not be paying them and my bank is declining all charges as I did not pre-authorize this charge. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT STAY HERE
Mar 04, 2025 · SaraOnce arrived they refused to let me check in for 100% advanced paid room because my mastercard was digital and not plastic!!! I called Booking, then Booking called them but no solution! They still live in 90s Really disturbed my business trip to Philadelphia!
