Incredibly dated. Generally unclean. Timers on the lights which go off after a few minutes of activity. Had to shower in the dark because the lights went off when I was in there. Hot water is very finicky. Bars of soap.. luckily don’t see that much anymore at most places. Linens are very old and weathered. Feels like the type of place that’s been pinching pennies and talking about “renovating” since they opened. I will be checking my credit card statement because this feels like the kind of place to keep a security deposit for no reason. Would not recommend, and I will not be staying here again.

Candlewood overbooked the hotel. When I arrived at 6 PM, they "didn't have" my suite. That means they'd booked more suites than they actually had. It didn't matter that I was a rewards member and that I'd pre-paid for the suite; there was no suite. I had booked a two-bedded suite so my friend would have space. The person at the desk tried to give us a one-bedded room, saying we could share the bed or my friend could sleep on the sofa. After pushing back, we got a small two-bedded room, so at least we wouldn't have to share a bed. The rooms lights were all on motion sensing timers. This meant if you took a shower that lasted more than five minutes, the lights would go out. It happened to me three times in two days. You could easily get hurt, especially with the loose steel shower rack hanging off one side of the shower. The room had an odd smell, and I had an allergic reaction to what I guess was uncleaned pet dander. The walls were streaked and dirty. The furniture was badly worn with dozens of holes in the upholstery. There was no microwave in the kitchenette, instead just a hole in the cupboard where it would go.

I stayed at the Candlewood suites last night in preparation for an early morning flight (5:25am). I checked in to the hotel with no major problems a little after 9pm the night before and when the front desk employee asked what time I would require the shuttle, and I replied 3:30am, he looked at me astonished. But then he said that while they would not be able to accommodate that time, the Holiday Inn Express shuttle that was across the parking lot does travel that early and he stated he would call over and tell them I would be there and need a 3:30 shuttle. An hour later at about 10:30pm, I call down to the front desk and restate my situation and asked if he had called over and verified that I was still able to use the Holiday Inn express shuttle at 3:30am and he AGAINST stated yes, it is all good. Now it is 3:25am, and I’ve made my way across the lot to catch my shuttle, only to walk in and find out that the Holiday Inn Express had absolutely ZERO idea what I was talking about and their shuttle was not available at that time since no one who has checked in needed a shuttle at that time and the message the front desk employee at Candlewood promised to relay definitely did not make its way over. At this time I had to completely scramble to find transportation to the airport for my early morning flight, will NOT ever be coming back to this hotel for anything. This could have turned my entire trip out of the country upside down and it was horrible service from Candlewood.

For the price we weren’t expecting it to be the greatest hotel but we were very disappointed when we walked into our room. The room was not clean and when we pulled out the sofa bed in which my child would be sleeping on, the mattress was filthy. The people at the front desk were nice and gave us two other rooms to look at. The hallway had a very bad smell but the mattresses were at least clean and comfortable . The room itself was not the cleanest- food crumbs on the stove and backsplash. The tv remote did not work and didn’t realize until the morning there was no hot water.
